Mark was friendly, patient, and extremely knowledgable. He helped get my rescue puppy into a class, and was nice enough to let him in even though he was older than the age cutoff. He was always available before and after class to answer questions and address issues, even after our paid time had ended. I would absolutely take more classes with Mark and would encourage other dog owners to do the same. -

Mark Bennett is a terrific dog trainer. Over a period of several weeks, Mark worked with us to help improve the behavior of our high-strung rescue, calming both dog (and owners) down a lot. (Our vet was very impressed by the noticeable change in our dogs behavior in a comparatively short period of time.) Mark is patient, gentle, and firm. Our dog responded to him immediately. He is very organized, and gave us simple techniques and tips to use every day. He has a wealth of knowledge about animals. Very importantly, he understands the ins and outs of caring for pets in the city. I recommend him wholeheartedly and without reservation. -

Mark was fantastic! At each session he was always so informative and patient with our rescue pup, Eva. Since our dog is very shy, his calming nature helped her open up and by the last couple sessions she was licking his hand as he visited! He always took her timid personality into account and pointed out ways of training her in a more compassionate way that would work better for her specific case than they would for other dogs. She responded to all his techniques and his homework write-ups were useful to look back on after each lesson. We would highly recommend Mark and can’t praise him enough. Also, it was a pleasure chatting with him each time! -

Mark is great! He shows up on time and has a gentle approach when training. He explained everything he was doing and then had me try it out with my dog. My puppy Great Pyraneese is a handful but after 6 lessons with Mark he is much easier to manage. I highly recommend Mark to any dog owner. -

Mark is a natural with dogs...he is a CPDT-KA and ABC Animal Behavior College certified and insured professional dog trainer. He is certified in pet emergency first-aid and CPR. He is a badged volunteer at NYC Animal Care and Control, specializing in the toughest dog casesHe has trained hundreds of dogs, including all of our rescue dogs (and cats) over the years. His niche specialty is working with the most difficult dogs, those who were tossed and abandoned and have insecurity and quirks that you might not find in one adopted as a small puppy.Marks methods are based on the latest research findings with the goal of creating a loving relationship between you, the Guardian, and your dog companion. Since we consider our dogs family members, we want to treat and train them in the best way, using positive tactics. Please consider Mark if you are in need of training your dog companion, or share his name with friends and family who are considering training theirs. A well-trained dog is a happy companion! And you will be happy, too!Thank you. -

Brooklyn Finest Dog Training helped me with my dog. I asked many training schools around the neighborhood and they didnt know how to advise me or help me with my dog. When I read Brooklyn Finest Dog training information I contacted them and i received a prompt answer via emails. Mark Bennett is an excellent trainer. He made a house consultation and assessed the dog issue after my working hours. Mark knew immediately how to create a technique to help my dog. I would recommend Brooklyn Finest dog training to anyone who is stuggling finding time to attend a dog training school or finding a dog trainer with experience. -

Mark was fantastic with Guinness! My pup had some patience and obedience issues. He had inconsistency with commands and overall tried to be the boss of the household. Mark and I worked with Guinness on sit, lay and stay mostly and weve made so much progress in just two sessions. Mark was patient, kind and got along with Guinness so well. I really look forward to working with him again. -

Weve been working with Mark for a few months now after adopting a pitbull, our first power breed. She was great at first but eventually became protective and got into a few fights unfortunately. We called Mark and have done 3 sessions with him. Mark really understands how dogs tick. What they want, what their reactions mean, and how to handle all sorts of situations. I can say that after just a few sessions, and implementing his techniques, we are more confident pit owners and shes a happier, more confident dog. And no more fights. Thanks Mark and Laura! 100% recommend!!! -

Just had to write a review because Mark has been such a help to my family and dogs.I met Mark at the park years ago. I just got a puppy with anxiety issues and saw him walking three pitbulls with ease. I noticed how much he loved and cared for his dogs. I never knew he was a dog trainer because he never mentioned to me what he did. He gave me pointers and realized he was a trainer through his wonderful wife. I called him because my dog was terrified to walk outside and he helped us so much.Fast forward six years later when we just got another rescue dog. I hoped my old dog would “teach” our new dog how to acclimate to our household but it was not to be. Both dogs loved each other but it became double trouble. They would egg each other on with barking and being watchful at night. After days and months of sleepless nights I called Mark again and he took the time after thanksgiving to come see us. I knew that we had to put in the work to find a solution to it but every dog is different. We were going to try to resolve it with a vibrating collar thinking it was beyond our control. Mark within minutes that we were there was able to show us alternatives without resorting to harsh commands etc. We want happy dogs and humane solutions and Mark is an animal whisperer. He taught us tools in reward centered training that didn’t involve harsh disciplines and we saw him work with our dogs. It’s honestly worth the money to learn how to work with your dog. He tailored the lesson plan with who our dogs are. I didn’t feel used or that it was just a job for him. If you need a trainer get someone that cares about your dog as an individual. My dogs thought it was play time and were happy to learn. We are getting a whistle to train our new dog to come when called soon because my original dog is different and always stays close. It’s not the end of the world if your dog has issues. Take a bit of time and some good advice to help you and it’s worth the restful sleep you get in return.Sorry if my review is long but I thought it will be helpful to someone.
