Alison is such a great trainer and is a perfect match for me and my anxious puppy, Shiloh. Alison is confident and calm and is ready to adapt specific training protocols based on your individual dog and their needs. Shiloh absolutely loves her and I completely trust her judgement and experience. I booked the five pack training sessions and booked them spread out over 2-3 months. We learned so much! It was also really helpful to have an expert come in and validate what I have been learning about my dog and her personality. I will probably end up booking more time with her down the line after weve had some time to practice all of the skills she taught us. I highly recommend working with Alison, she will listen to your needs and will instill trust in your dog.

I highly recommend Alison. She is responsive, caring, understanding, empathetic, and goes above and beyond to help. Im always impressed with her deep understanding of dog behavior and she clearly keeps tabs on the industry as it continues to evolve. She is a pleasure to work with and I continue to book her for new issues with my two dogs both big and small!

We first reached out to Alison in 2021, desperate for help with our reactive Miniature American Shepherd. She has been our reference and support with our pup ever since, making marked improvements in understanding him and reading his cues. It was only natural for us to reach out to her for guidance when we were considering getting another pup, and we are certain that their introduction would not have been as smooth without consulting her. Amazing amazing amazing positive reinforcement trainer in Brooklyn. Alison has worked with Lyra since she was a puppy. She has given us the tools to bring out the best in Lyra. She is kind, patient and passionate about dogs. If you need guidance as a old or new pet parent I would look no further!

We love working with Dharma Dog. Alison is super thoughtful and very well informed, sharing training ideas that are appropriate for our dogs specific breed mix. Our dog cant speak English, but when we work with Alison, it feels more like we can speak dog!

Alison is extremely knowledgeable and kind. Our pup loves her, and so do we! She is very responsive to our needs, follows up every session with detailed recaps to help us keep track of all the useful material we cover. She takes the time to explain the theory behind the training so that we understand why it works and can better apply it in real life. Best of all, she is a calming presence for an over-stimulated dog and two brand-new anxious dog parents. Highly recommend!
