5/5 Review for Kiba K9I couldn’t be happier with my experience at Kiba K9. After an underwhelming start with another trainer who didn’t quite meet our needs, I was referred to Kiba by a friend who also owns a Doberman. From day one, our trainer Tiffany laid out a clear and structured plan that made a world of difference. She took the time to answer every question I had, no matter how small, and always approached each session with professionalism and a positive attitude. As a first-time dog owner, I wanted to make sure I was doing everything I could to set my puppy up for success, and Tiffany has been the perfect guide.My Doberman is now 8 months old, and the difference in his behavior and responsiveness compared to other dogs is truly remarkable. We’re still working with Kiba K9, and I’m excited to see how much further we can go. If you’re serious about training and want a supportive, knowledgeable team to help you, I highly recommend Kiba K9.

We have worked with both Kiba and Tiffany over the last few months for our now 7-month old Rottie mix puppy Nash and we’re incredibly grateful to have found them. Nash is the sweetest dog, but he has a strong personality and can be stubborn at times. With a baby on the way this Fall, we knew we wanted to establish good habits with Nash right from the start and Kiba and Tiff have been great in terms of using a comfortable but firm approach in Nashs training.We’ve worked with Kiba through private sessions and with Tiffany for enrichment boarding when we traveled for a week and have seen such positive progress. We often receive compliments from family, friends, and even strangers about how well-behaved Nash is, especially for his age.Kiba and Tiff have helped us with nearly everything -- leash training, car ride etiquette, resolving mild food guarding when Nash was first adopted, handling nail clipping and paw touching, games like fetch and tug of war, the list goes on. Its also really nice that if we have a quick question outside of a training session we can shoot Kiba a text and hell get back to us with a suggestion or solution promptly so we can address quickly.We’re very grateful to have found such dedicated and skilled trainers in Kiba and Tiffany who clearly care for Nash and its obvious he enjoys being around them too. Its so sweet seeing Nashs excitement when Kiba arrives for training sessions and we love knowing that he is in good hands. After some private lessons and a 6-week board and train with Tiff and Kiba, my rescue dog Maeve has become the best version of herself! I trust Tiff and Kiba completely (and so does Maeve) and feel so much better knowing that they are a continued resource for us. I tried a handful of trainers in the city over the past year, and would have saved myself lots of stress and money if I had worked with KIBA K9s from the start. Tiff and Kiba are wonderful people who know so much and are gifted at teaching it to both humans and dogs. Thank you!!

Kiba and Tiffany have been such a blessing to our family. Jimmy is our 80lb other “child” that has become infinitely more balanced while learning new vocabulary and behaviors from Kiba and his team. (Kiba is a great communicator that helps educate humans as much as dogs). We started with the board and train offering and followed up with private sessions. We have no hesitation leaving Jimmy with Kiba whenever a situation presents itself . Having tried many other people via apps, etc., we now know a true animal PROFESSIONAL. Highly recommended!

Kirubell worked with us to train our Boston Terrier, Junie, starting from when she was around 8 months old. She is a wild and playful dog and Kirubell taught us how to channel her play drive into a training tool that offered a foundation for discipline and obedience. Through the training, Junie developed excellent behavior on-leash and at home. Thanks to the guidance and hard work that Kirubell invested in training both us and the dog, we have been able to travel all over the country with Junie - who now excels at airports - we can allow her safely off-leash in public, and we can count on her to be a well-behaved at home.The knowledge, expertise, and passion that Kirubell has for this work is unmatched. I learned a tremendous amount along the way and was inspired by the passion that he has for the animals he deeply loves. He takes a versatile approach to training, adapting his approach to the specific drives and behavioral quirks of each dog. Moreover, hes easy to work with - a good communicator and flexible scheduler. I would unreservedly recommend working with him.

Kirubell was such a huge help for us. We adopted Sage when he was around 1, and didn’t know much about his history. He is play motivated and doesn’t respond to treats, especially outside, and it was difficult to find someone who would work with him under those circumstances/conditions. Kirubell immediately said no problem- let’s replace the food reward with play. We were able to make such great strides with Sage after- whether it be recall, him feeling safe with us outside the house, or basic obedience. Kirubell was so knowledgeable and patient with Sage to work with him to be more confident and comfortable in his surroundings. Cannot recommend Kirubell enough!

We met Yves in the park when our mini-Goldendoodle, Miles, was just a few months old. I watched how he interacted with his dog and how we observed the other pups out and about. I’m sure he could tell I was a new dog-mom and he shared a few tips to help me take care of my pup as he hesitantly explored this new social environment with range of unfamiliar dogs.This was the start of a great relationship with Yves and Kiba of Kiba K9. We left Miles with them for the 6 week Board and Train program when Miles was about 5 months old. The program included create training/housebreaking, obedience training, leash walking, healthy socialization and more. They really learned Miles, his temperament and how he is motivated, The family received several private lessons during and after the 6 week program so that we could continue to bond with Miles, learn the commands and reinforce the training at home. Since then we’ve boarded Miles with Kiba K9 for reinforcement training when we travel. Not only was Miles a different puppy when we brought him home but we were much better informed/prepared to be the best family possible for Miles.Kiba has a genuine love for dogs; he has studied with and is mentored by experts in the field. He ensures his team is well trained and prepared to deliver high-quality training to any of the pups in their care. If you have a dog, then you should have a relationship with Kiba K9.

Shortly after adopting my 8-month-old Belgian Malinois, I quickly realized Hazel was more than I could handle. I began looking for a dog trainer with experience and success working with the Belgian Malinois breeds.Kiba came highly recommended, and he lived up to his reputation. We met within a week to discuss my concerns and goals, which included obedience training, off-leash recall, and exercises to fulfill Hazel mentally and physically. Creating a solid routine for her as a registered nurse who works 12 hrs shifts was crucial. Kiba was attentive and showed empathy for my needs and concerns. His direct and uncomplicated training method helped me realize I could provide Hazel with a happy and satisfying life.He opened his schedule and immediately added Hazel to his training program. Hazel completed a six-week board-and-train program, including private training sessions to prepare her and me for when she returned home. These private training sessions have significantly impacted my learning and helped to strengthen my bond with Hazel.Hazels training involved Kiba and Tiffany. I must thank Tiffany, who contributed to Hazels remarkable transformation and updated me on her progress.Hazel is an entirely different dog now. Kiba has taught Hazel and me so much, but most importantly, he has taught us how to have fun.I highly recommend Kiba and his team, Kiba K9, for all your dog training needs. Kiba has helped me achieve what seemed impossible. Although the journey was not easy, we trained, learned, and improved every day, but most importantly, we had fun. Hands down one of the BEST dog trainers that I have ever had the privilege of working with. Kiba has taught me so much and opened up my eyes to so many new ways to communicate with my dog, enrich his life, and give him a sense of purpose. Not only is he a top tier dog trainer, but he is also a terrific teacher to the human at the other end of the leash as well. If I could give more stars I definitely would. Kiba is a dog whisperer… he is sensitive to the dogs needs and yet understanding of the task at hand when it comes to training. Very committed, he brings out the joy in training for both owner and animal! Would highly recommend for both puppy as well as adult dog, whether it’s daily discipline, stability or pushing the dog to learn, always with eagerness and joy. Its amazing to watch him with the dogs; Kiba has come into my office to help tweak training but also to guide me and each experience has been beneficial to learning and understanding more about communicating with my dog.

This 10 star review is long overdue for Kiba and his team (shoutout to Yves!)! Kiba is the best in the business and worth every penny. Kiba came highly recommended from our dog’s breeder. We had a terrible experience with another trainer who mishandled him while using an e-collar. Aside from that we had the usual obedience issues such as counter surfing, leash pulling and leash reactivity. Due to the number of issues, we invested in a 1 month board and train. We immediately felt comfortable with Kiba because he understood our struggle and most of all, our dog. We really liked Kiba’s approach to training. He molds and shapes your dog to give him consistency in the language and then teaches you how to communicate in that new language with your dog. By the time we got our dog Elton back, we were completely blown away. He was almost a different dog in his behavior, obedience and listening skills. He was off leash, recalled like a pro, no longer scared of his ecollar and actually responding well to it. More importantly, his leash reactivity could be controlled through communication. Our dog really blossomed through his time with Kiba, which in turn has deepened our relationship with our dog. Kiba also does a great job explaining everything and helping you understand your dog better. The best part is because he has the opportunity to know your dog on a very individualized level, if you ever have a question, Kiba is always willing and able to help with very specific recommendations. To this day, we still continue reinforcing the games and lessons Kiba has taught our dog. It’s important we keep doing our homework to help our dogs be their best. We are forever grateful to him for all the love and energy he’s poured into our dog and are so lucky to consider him not just a trainer but a friend. He still checks up on Elton from time to time despite a very busy schedule. What business do you know that has that kind of customer service?! It’s because you’re not a customer with Kiba and his team, you become part of his pack. Thank you for the amazing work you do! Do yourself a favor, just save your money and forget about all the other trainers, Kiba’s K9 crew are the crème de la crème. Your only regret will be why you didn’t do this sooner.

Did a 1-month board and train for my two terrier mixes. They are a bonded pair I adopted during the pandemic and my first dogs ever so I was new to dog life. My one dog Courage is very dog aggressive, and his pal Domino followed his lead. I had issues with them barking at apartment noises and other dogs as well. 3 years in the straw that broke the camels back was when they suddenly started fighting with one another. I decided to invest in boarding with Kiba since I knew I didnt have the time or skills to address their issues.After their time with Kiba, friends have remarked how much quieter and calmer they seem. They have stopped fighting, walk much better on a leash and respond to commands. I also realized how much I needed to learn about handling them and establishing authority, and Kiba is incredibly knowledgable and passionate about explaining the different ways to communicate with your dog. Courage, Domino and I are still a work in progress but there is much more harmony at home and he has shown me that even old dogs can learn new tricks. Thank you Kiba!

We met Kirubell - of KIBA K-9s - while being walked by our dog during the first few months of having her. He was enjoying play time with his dog, while we were struggling with our big 4 month old puppy. We were clearly not experienced and needed some help to actually be the ones who walked her so we sought help. Kirubell took time to assess us with her, develop a relationship with her (SHE LOVED HIM and looked for him everyday), and then walked alongside us as we trained her. He worked closely with my family (including my children - both under ten at the time) to train her and observed us afterwards to ensure that we were consistent. By the end, we learned to walk, place, and work on her impulse at a very young age thanks to Kirubells guidance.

My pup was suffering severe separation anxiety and after a year of working with multiple other trainers, a friend recommended KIBA K9. I did a 5 week board and train and I am so grateful for all the work they did. After just a couple of months of training, he was so much better. They were patient with him and worked at his pace but also understood that both of us needed to be happy. After that I also did more training with KIBA K9 so I could travel with my pup - we worked on his walking, his commands, getting him comfortable in noisy chaotic locations and so much more but the biggest thing was that they showed my dog so much love throughout all the training. I would highly recommend KIBA K9 to anyone looking!

I highly recommend KIBA K9. He worked with my German Shepherd (working line) and did an excellent job. He showed us a different approach, flawlessly understanding my dogs needs, resulting in training sessions that made my dog visibly happy and confident. Samoyeds are never easy, especially ours. Yves always told us that our Mozzie had the energy of a Belgian Malinois and the independence of a Husky - all that AND Mozzie struggled with extreme excitement around dogs and friends! With the help of KK9, we were able to really help Mozzie become an even more amazing dog with a foundational language that is understood between us and him. We were able to adapt each step of our program to who Mozzie was, and there’s always such amazing communication between us and both Kiba and Yves - they were always able to answer any question at any hour. They genuinely cared about Mozzie’s development. Now, Mozzie is able to be social around his best dog friends and favorite humans, he is off leash trained (pictures of him having fun in Central Park with no leash!), and he’s able to show off the best parts of his personality now with the help of KK9. So - thank you thank you thank you to KK9 for everything and we’re hoping to apply everything we’ve been taught to our new puppy, Waffle! 😇

We love KIBA K9s! They truly take the time to get to know your dog and base the training around that dogs needs. We worked with Yves for 10 sessions and it was invaluable to our relationship. Roux has more confidence now and we have a stronger bond! Not to mention perfect recall! Roux also stayed a few nights for enrichment boarding when I was out of town. It was such peace of mind knowing he was safe and being cared for by a team that understood him. Worth every penny!

Five stars just don’t do justice for Kiba K9s’ Yves and his incredible dog training skills! Before we started, my year-old Zuzu was a bit of a wildcard— sweet and playful but stubborn (typical of the Shiba Inu’s reputation). We struggled with fixation whenever we would pass by another dog in public. But now? We’re a dynamic duo, thanks to Yves’s expert guidance on obedience and off-leash recall. Most importantly, the training has strengthened our bond and we are both able to communicate so much better with the trust and relationship that was built through the training sessions. If you want to level up your pup-parent game, definitely check out Kiba K9s! 🐾

Yves was such amazing help with my puppy lulu!! He came in with an immense amount of knowledge and tricks in his book. Having a dog who is well trained and stable is not only convenient for you, but it’s even more important for your dog. He learnt lulu very quickly. Understanding how she works and how good she was at playing us hahaha. Lulu was very insecure, and Yves helped me make lulu a stable dog. Which all dog owners should want. I am able to sit at a restaurant, park, school, anywhere you name it, and have lulu be completely neutral. No barking or pulling to other dogs. It’s amazing. Lulu has changed and became a more confident dog because of Yves’ help with her. I adopted her so I was unsure what she was going to come with. However with his help, whatever bad habits would’ve manifested we stopped them right in their tracks. Lulu used to run across the field and not obey a single word I said. Now I say wait and she stops right in her tracks waiting for me to give her the okay. She is truly the dog I’ve always wanted. There is no price you can put on that. Yves helped not only me, but Lulu.

Kirubell’s program assisted in developing our own organic relationship with our pal, Luna.3+ years ago we adopted Luna, an adorable, rambunctious, quirky, sweet Australian cattle pup mix. As first time dog parents, we needed a lot of help navigating anything from -potty training, side walk etiquette, dog walking, dog park socialization, and house manners.. you name it..Kirubell came to our aid. The program focused on our understanding of our developing 5 month old and general dog behavior, gestures, instinct, etc. Kirubell, assisted in developing a shared communication, which we still use to this day. We learned how to positively reenforce good behavior and how to get our little buddy’s focus.As the program progressed, we worked through the basic calls- sit, down, stay, place, up, etc. Learning in various environments, with different levels of activities surrounding us. One of the things we enjoyed about the program was its adaptability to our constantly changing needs while managing expectations.We continued working with Kirubell through recall, long distance recall\e-collar and reactivity training until Luna was two years old.Kirubell and his team, surpassed our wildest expectations. They helped usestablish a healthily authentic relationship with our bud, Luna.At 3 1/2 years, we have an ongoing relationship with Kirubell, Biggie and the team and HIGHLY recommend their service.

Kiba is a top level dog trainer, he has both the talent and the knowledge of the art of the modern dog training. He trains the dog and the owner together which is super important in order to get meaningful and lasting results whatever your training goals might be. I feel so lucky that I have discovered him by pure chance. I drove all the way to Brooklyn from Upstate NY for the private sessions and all I can say - it was time well spent and it was totally worth it. Most importantly - Kiba showed me whats possible and how to achieve it, I am very grateful that I had this opportunity. I wish more dogs could have such great trainers.

Kiba is great! Super patient, knowledgeable and understanding. Also really hands on with the rest of his trainers/team. Awesome watching him work and putting things into action. After dealing with a handful of other trainers that didn’t really work for me, once i met Kiba I finally felt like I was in good hands. I attended the Gold School program with instructor Kiba and my Malinois B. I was thoroughly impressed with his knowledge and ability to teach what he knew. So many people are very skilled at training the dog but few are skilled at training the person. Kiba was patient but pushed you to constantly improve. His knowledge is based in experience but he can also explain why the dog is doing what it does and then teaches you how to read the dog in the same manner. He knows dog training scientifically, in theory and practically. So you are learning so much more than you expected to learn. I am a certified trainer of 20yrs and I still came away with so much more knowledge and understanding of what I was doing, and why. He is hands down the best instructor Ive had over the years. I would highly recommend him for any continued education. You would also be fortunate to have him train you and your dog.

Kiba and his crew are hands down the best dog trainers I have found!! My rottweiler Ralph had his first training with them as a puppy and learned all the basics needed to be a happy and well adjusted dog. Ralph loves all other dogs and has no aggressive tendencies what so ever to other dogs or humans. Ralph loves children and is even fine around loud sirens and noises without a bother. I thank Kiba, Yves and the team for helping me with Ralphs leash training as he used to have a bad habit of picking up garbage on walks but Yves was able to get him to stop that habit quickly. Highly recommend! After just one month with KIBA K9s, my dog came back a different dog. She was taught basic communication markers and commands that made her a pro with loose leash walking, marking place, fetch, and going off leash. Kiba definitely has the dog whisperer jutsu. He can get truly connect with them and get them to do things you couldn’t imagine lol. So whatever he recommends and teaches, you definitely have to remember and practice every day. He did a truly amazing job with my boy Escanor. He’s gonna give you the keys, but you have to drive from there.

A fabulous dog trainer! Kirubell is particularly good with big, strong-willed dogs that need a bit of structure and focus (and maybe confidence). He took a very effective balanced approach in training our dog, a ridgeback/Great Dane mix, 2+ years ago, and we are still benefiting to this day. He is smart and kind and patient—both in training the dogs and teaching their humans. And he absolutely loves dogs, which is invaluable. You and your dog will learn much from Kirubell. Me and my partner needed a trainer for our 4 month year old weimaraner. KIBA K9s worked with our schedule and did house visit sessions. Every session was new, exciting and easy to follow which allowed us to learn quickly. We gained a lot of great tips and guidance as to how to effectivly train our pup. From obedience training and socializing to learning how to walk on leash KIBA K9s was with us every step of the way. Kirubell is an amazing professional trainer. He has such a love for animals and an understanding of them. my dog was terrified of being back in the city and would not walk down the street, and Kirubell trained him to to be able to walk and be confortable around the noises that frightened him. He also trainwd him to be okay around other dogs, which he had a fear of. We saw him recently on the street and my dog was so happy to see him. He truly loves animals and is a consummate pro at training them.

Kirubell is extremely knowledgeable and patient. Before we decided to use him for an off leash training package he came to our apartment and spoke with us for nearly 2 hours. He is extremely passionate and really helped us understand our GSDs needs. Kiba and his team are not only incredible trainers but wonderful people. I trust their skills, knowledge, and judgement when it comes to the training and care of my Rhodesian Ridgeback, Georgie. We did the 1 month puppy training program, which transformed our relationship with her. They set up a groundwork of communication and training with her and us as owners so that we could take those skills and continue her training at home. Every time we board Georgie with Kiba and his team when we have to go away for work travel, I not only know she is safe and well cared for, but that she will always come back with reinforcement in her training. I value the expertise and passion that Kiba and his team have, and I am so grateful to have learned so much from them about what it means to have a good relationship with your dog, how to be a responsible and skilled dog parent, and about dog behavior in general.

There are over a million dog trainers in the United States, myself being one of them, and he is definitely one of the top 5 without an ounce of doubt.I had the pleasure of meeting Kirubell through the Nepopo network and from the start Kirubell stood out as one of the few trainers at the seminar who was approachable, knowledgeable, and non-judgmental. He had an incredible ability to explain concepts in a way that was easy for me to understand, and he remained patient with me as I asked several questions. I was so impressed by his knowledge that I decided to fly him to Texas to teach a intense 5 day training school. Little did I know the amount of knowledge I would gain in just five days.
