I truly canāt say enough wonderful things about NY Wolfpack!!! Doug and Talia took my pit mix Summer in for a 5 week board & train and it was the best experience I could have possibly asked for, they exceeded my expectations in every way possible and Iām so grateful I found them. Summer, my three year old rescue pit mix, had pretty severe human and dog reactivity, among a handful of other things they helped us with that I did not know how to overcome. Throughout her entire B&T they kept me updated with videos of her training, answered my questions, and made me feel completely at ease. Summer, who is naturally a nervous girl, completely fell in love with both of them and I genuinely have never seen her as happy and playful as she was with Doug and Talia. After Summerās B&T ended they made sure I was fully equipped to continue her training at home to be sure she is set up for success long term and their hard work doesnāt all go away as soon as she comes home. We are now able to walk past dogs and people without me panicking or having any issues, and weāre also able to safely go to off leash hours at the park which I honestly did not think would ever be possible, we can get in the elevator in my building with other people without any issues and so much more. Summer is overall just so much happier, confident, less tense, and seeing her blossom has made me happier than words can express. Not to mention Talia and Doug are just the kindest and coolest people you will ever meet!!! They document their trainees on Instagram where you can find Summerās progress!!! I would work with NY Wolfpack over and over again if I could. -

Working with New York Wolf Pack was a fantastic and life changing experience. We have a 4 year-old rescue dog who came to Doug & Talia with dog reactivity issues, and they worked absolute magic with her. Not only does she not react to dogs anymore, but they taught her invaluable skills and behaviors that help us live a better every day life with our amazing dog in New York City. If and when we get another dog, we will surely use New York Wolfpack again! -

Probably the best dog school facility in New York City.In just four weeks, our dog learned the fundamentals of being a calm and confident dog. Having grown up in NYC, she is naturally a bit skittish and anxious, but Doug and Talia helped her gain confidence and built a stronger relationship with us. We learned so much as well, itās a school for both you and your dog. Highly recommend! -

NYWolfpack did a board and train for our dog Ghost. At the time, he was WILD. We couldnāt even walk him, period. Our lives were beyond chaotic and we were questioning our ability to be good dog owners. Talia and Doug helped Ghost become a well- behaved sweetheart. Not only did they teach Ghost but us as well. We had a lot to learn about dogs in general. The things we thought we knew were misconceptions. Our whole philosophy on dogs has changed. They will not just send your dog back home and wash their hands. They encourage follow-ups after training and they genuinely care about how we maintain his training in the context of our household. Our sweet boy came home and we now have a fun, well-behaved dog that we can take literally ANYWHERE with confidence. -

Couldnāt recommend enough - worth every single penny!!! Twix is a 4.5 year old Australian shepherd living in NYC that had several aggression and reactivity issues - among other things. Weāve tried so many different trainers, and even considered medication. We werenāt sure if a dog can learn past the puppy stage - we thought it was a lost cause. Doug and Talia took him for 6 weeks, and the difference is tremendous! Heās ignoring all the triggers that used to make our walks miserable, and truly just living a better dog life. The difference is night and day - we can actually ENJOY walks with him now!!!That being said, he is still very much himself and has his personality. It is clear just how much effort and time they put into our dog and we are forever grateful. They spent so much extra time explaining to all of us how to handle the transition - and of course how to continue the training going forward they didnāt just hand us Twix and say have a nice day. They give you all the right tools to have a successful transition, and it is up to the owners (us) to continue it. Doug and Talia care so much about the dogs that they train. We couldnāt be happier about our choice. We recommend NY WOLFPACK to anyone that cares about their dog, and wants to have a better life together. -

Doug and Talia are the real deal. We have spent years in and out of behavioral programs in the past and they are by far the best. Our 7 year old German Shepherd had always been dog/leash reactive.. They patiently and loving gave us and our dog a new lease on life. This program is highly effective training for both dog and owner. I cant recomend New York Wolfpack enough. I wish everyone and their dog could have this experience. -

We sent our 2.5 year old dog to New York Wolfpack to work on his reactivity with other dogs. After just a couple nights back, weve already noticed a tremendous difference in his approach (or lack thereof) to dogs outside, but also in his general obedience at home.Doug and Talia are always available to answer our questions, no matter how big or small, and always give us thorough answers to make sure we fully comprehend every training tool and the reason behind it. We are SO grateful and will recommend to any of our friends with dogs! -

Doug and Talia have completely transformed how we work with our dogs and as a result we are all so much happier. Our GSD who struggled with reactivity when we moved to the city is now calm in even the most stressful setting. We are so thankful for New York Wolf Pack. -

There are not enough stars here to rate how thankful I am for Doug and Talia!!The TLDR is:We got Cudi (a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever) not knowing we were pregnant so we unknowing ended up with 2 kids! We tried our best to train him ourselves, but once I fell heavily pregnant the efforts took a bit of a dive. This meant that we had him essentially 50% trained. He was great with some things, but not so great at others.Cudi was never a bad dog with crazy issues, but once our human baby arrived, Cudi started to become barky reactive to baby. We tried for a month to see if we could fix the situation ourselves, but the barky and unpredictable behaviour towards the baby was putting all of us in the house on edge (the sleep deprivation didnt help either). In the end we knew we had to get help!--- ENTER NEW YORK WOLFPACK!! ---and thank god we found them! I spoke to a couple of different trainers in the New York area. Talia was the only person I spoke to where I immediately felt like they knew what they were talking about and that they actually cared about the long term success of the dog!We moved forward with a 4 week B+T program and Cudi has come back as an AMAZINGLY well trained dog with the same goober personality! They have come in and literally restored the peace in our house and we feel like we finally now have the ability to breath and enjoy our fur baby Cudi and our new human baby together. What I love the most about Doug and Talia is that they really do care. It never felt like a weve trained him and here you go, goodbye and good luck!. They really try to set you up for success. Explaining all the whys, giving you and teaching you all the tools to have in your back pocket to better your relationship with your dog.Cannot recommend enough!!! -

We cannot recommend NY Wolfpack enough! From the start, you can tell Doug and Talia are truly passionate about helping owners understand their dogs and setting them up with all the tools to build a stronger relationship with their pups!We sent our almost 3 yr old English Cocker Spanial named Homer to NY Wolfpack for a 7 week Board and Train to work on his dog reactivity, separation anxiety and basic obedience.Homers a great derpy happy dog, but his dog reactivity started to increase to the point where we would be very stressed taking him out. We could never tell if he was going to react, so the unpredictability made us stop wanting to take him with us to a lot of places. We would even resort to carrying him out through the elevator/lobby of our building so he didnt have a chance to react.Fast foward to his B&T with NY Wolfpack and we couldnt be happier! Even from the first videos that were sent to us by Doug and Talia, we were amazed at the changes in Homer. Along with the video updates, Doug/Talia take the time to explain the reasoning behind everything theyre doing and welcome any questions we have. They really want to ensure you understand how your dog thinks, which in turn helps you grasp how the training addresses those behaviors. One of the best part of Homers B&T was when we got to to have sessions with Homer during the final weeks because whats the point of having Homer trained if we as owners arent trained as well? With these sessions, we became way more confident on taking Homer out and about and handling different situations, which in turn made Homer more confident as well. The 7 weeks flew by and Homer is back home and is doing amazing! Doug and Talia are not the type of trainers who drop off your dog and bid you good luck. They make it known they are available for any questions/concerns we have as we transition Homer back home. They also set up follow up sessions to make sure both us and Homer are doing well and keeping up the training. NY Wolfpack has made both our lives and Homers happier and stress free! Our dreams of off leash walks, dining out and holding his leash with a coffee in hand have come true and we cant thank NY Wolfpack enough! They are magical and our only regret was not sending Homer earlier!Trained dogs are definitely cooler! -

If youre looking for a dog trainer who will make a real difference, look no further than NY Wolf Pack. Their expertise with our foster dog resulted in a happier, better-behaved dog and a more harmonious household. What truly sets them apart is their ability to teach not only the dog but also the owner. They took the time to explain the rationale behind techniques ensuring we felt confident in continuing the training on our own. We now have the tools and knowledge to maintain the progress that was made.A particularly heartwarming outcome was the transformation of our foster dog. Im thrilled to share that because of Talia and Dougs efforts, we ended up adopting our foster because of her amazing transformation. Ny Wolf Pack didnt just train our dog; they transformed our relationship! -

Our dog Dakota was with NY Wolfpack for a 5 week board and train to work through some reactivity and fine tune some general obedience. Doug and Talia were, and still continue to be amazing to work with. They are extremely thorough in their evaluations and tailor their training to each individual dog they work with. They taught us so much, and our relationship/ bond with Dakota has grown tremendously. They treat your dogs like their own and I cant be more thankful for their expertise. They make themselves available for follow up sessions / questions which has been so helpful as Dakota has transitioned back into her home environment. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a dog trainer! -

We adopted a 2yo pitbull named Zoe who was a sweetheart with us, but had horrible separation anxiety, dragged us down the street on a leash, and had an increasing terror of everything outside, especially other dogs.Doug and Talia absolutely saved our lives. After a month with them, Zoe was able to cope with her anxiety in pretty much all scenarios, AND was able to be off leash pretty much anywhere.I cannot express what their training & teaching has done for our quality of life, and their continued availability for questions etc afterward was genuinely incredible. Ive sent multiple people to them at this point, all who have had the same experience. Could not recommend highly enough. -

Talia and Doug have been fantastic with our dog. We reached out to them during the puppy stage after struggling as first time dog owners and trying two other trainers who we felt werent working out for us. It was one of the best decisions we made. One of the things that sets them apart is how focused they are on tailoring the training for each individual client based on the breed, circumstances, and temperament of your dog. They truly emphasize the importance of establishing a bond that is healthy and constructive, where you learn to become in tune with their behaviors & understand the why in a way that makes it much more seamless to guide them on the right path. Our dog is now a little over 2.5 years old and we are so impressed with how far she has come looking back on the first day we met with Talia. We really could not have done it without them and we are proud to be long term clients of theirs. -

Have been trusting NYWP with my dog Mick for over two years! Doug and Talia took such care to customize a training program that worked for Mick and I have returned to them for boarding services while I was on vacation many times after. They truly aim to understand your dog to provide you with lasting results for years to come. Theyāre also extremely honest in the best way. They donāt promise miracles if you donāt put in the work with your own dog.The best part of this whole process besides having a confident well behaved and happy dog is the joy I have from truly knowing my dog and his needs. Our bond is that much stronger because of Doug and Taliaās support and training.P.S: mick is 8lbs! No dog is too small to train! -

Talia and Doug are super skilled trainers and I really enjoyed working with them on my dogās reactivity. She spent 5 weeks at their board & train, during which I got frequent updates on the training and thorough, helpful information about why and how certain approaches are used. I appreciate their emphasis on safety, their ability to tailor their training to a dogās personality/individuality, and their depth of knowledge about dog behavior. I learned a ton about why my dog may act in certain ways in response to different situations, and I found my relationship with my dog to be even stronger after working with NYWP. I also love that they have continued to provide support and answer my training when I reach out long after my pup was at NYWP- they are a great resource and have really helped me understand how I can be my dogās best advocate and maintain a strong positive relationship with her. Thank you, Talia and Doug!! -
Review 17 (2024-04-29 - Rating: 5)
My experience with Talia and Doug from NY Wolfpack profoundly improved my experience as a dog owner.I sent my 1.5 year old (extremely high energy) Boston Terrier to NY Wolfpack for a 4-week board & train program where he learned skills for loose leash walking, boundaries to control his excitement levels (which were previously VERY difficult for me to control), and recall/e-collar training for off leash adventures. Raising a well trained dog in NYC is so challenging. Not only is the high-stress environment a factor, but also the proximity to so many other dogs on the sidewalk and having to communicate with other dog owners who often lack proper boundaries/etiquette is extremely difficult.NY Wolfpack not only provided Nemo with a solid training foundation but also equipped me with the tools, resources, and confidence to reinforce this training every single day. Setting boundaries with Nemo has given him more freedom and flexibility and makes being a dog owner so much more fun and so much less stressful. If youre looking to develop a more fulfilling and FUN relationship with your dog (and put in the work), start advocating for them by providing them with the training and structure they deserve.Massive thanks to Talia and Doug who continue to provide Nemo and me with incredible support and guidance. I couldnt be more appreciative of their dedication, hard work, and genuine love for dogs! -

Review 20 (2024-04-29 - Rating: 5)
I do not want to imagine what my life with my dog would be if I didnt find New York Wolfpack. They are the BEST (Other words when I think of them : life changing, mind blowing, extraordinary, inspiring) . They will do everything in their power to train you to train your dog so you can have the best life together with your dog. Some background: Zulu, my goldendoodle dog, was a typical puppy when we got him. But since this was our first dog, we just didnt know what to do and how to train him. So the first few months of having Zulu were horror - it was legit hell on earth. I was desperately looking for trainers and none of the trainers I found 1) Really cared for my puppy or me, they were more about the $$ and the # of sessions they can fix Zulu 2) Were just planning to use a one size fits all process 3) Took us serious since Zulu was only 18 weeks old. This all changed once I met Talia........Thank God I met Talia (even to this day, I thank the universe for leading me to this fantastic couple). If it wasnt for Talia and Doug, my husband and I wouldnt be the handlers we are today. Personally, I am more confident, and I know exactly how to work my dog and lead him out of tricky situations while also ensuring he has the best life. We, as a family, have been enabled to train him to provide structure and boundaries, and because of which we are able to take Zulu literally EVERYWHERE. We take him to restaurants, hiking, shopping malls. He has been on every mode of transportation, on escalators, in food courts, beaches, kayaks, paddle boards, loose leash walks, off-leash adventures, parks. Our families allow him to be in their house and around their kids because of how well behaved he is. On top of this, with all the city craziness, we can call him back and put him on heel, and he will listen and always come back. People come home and just cannot believe what a fantastic dog he is. He might be 75% poodle, but he is 100% the goodest boy we have ever seen, and this is all because of New York Wolfpack.I put my blood, sweat, and tears into Zulu, and they did the same with me. The days that were hard, they uplifted me, and the days that were great, they cheered me onWe have left Zulu with them for board and trains multiple times, and Zulu always comes back as happy as a clam. Their entire process from confirmation of booking, pick-up, during (including updates on training, things to work on), photos (which btw are epic), and drop-offs were always punctual, professional, and meticulously planned. To this day when Zulu sees them, he gets excited. I still am yet to see a dog that does NOT like them.Even after moving out of NYC, I am still in touch with Talia, getting her guidance on new situations or any genetic questions I have for Zulu. She takes the time to respond and send voice memos, and is always guiding and teaching me to be a better handler for Zulu. They are the most hands-on trainers who will call you out if youre doing something wrong while also guiding you to be best handler.Thank you, Talia and Doug, once again for all the guidance and support you have given me the last 2 years and still continue to give me. I will keep saying this for the rest of my life. -

I cannot say enough great things about Doug and Talia. First and most important they made it possible to keep our German Shepard in our home.My 7 month old GSD was having some really strong reactivity issues. She lunged at dogs and people while on walks. She barked aggressively at children as well. She even nipped at a young family members face.We recently had a baby and were so worried that our dogās issues were going to ultimately be too high of a risk to our child. We had our then current trainer strongly suggest rehoming her.I was desperate and thank God I found Wolfpack. We were able to get our dog into their board and train. She was with them for just over a month. Dorothy (our pup) now can calmly walk beside me when we are out. She does not lunge or bark at dogs as we pass by, even if they are on the same side of the walkway. She hasnāt been aggressive towards people or children either. She no longer incessantly barks in our home and is just more mellow and HAPPY overall. She understands all of her commands and responds well. We of course have to keep up on the training but now that I actually have the tools and knowledge, itās not difficult to do.Whenever we have run into any issues with Dorothy, Doug and Talia are very quick to respond to us when we reach out. Either they have a solution over the phone or they setup a session with us.I learned that Dorothy is not aggressive but actually very insecure. By her not having the proper structure and training she felt she needed to be in control. She used to be SO alert her ears would actually shake/vibrate.Now someone can ring the doorbell and she usually simply looks to us to see if alls ok. She now feels safe enough to just be chill. We are just so, so grateful. If youāre on the fence if you want to use Wolfpack, I highly suggest moving forward with them. This review was not incentivized in anyway. We just want everyone to know how happy we are. :):) -

Doug and Talia are the absolute best trainers in NYC, hands down. Brought my dog Benny in for anxiety and aggression reasons, since as hes gotten older he was slowly getting worse and worse, which had left me overwhelmed.Well, I wish i found NY Wolfpack when he was much younger, because when Benny came back to me he was 100x a more confident dog. Im absolutely thrilled with the level of training and care Benny received. I can now take him off-leash through Prospect Park (or anywhere for that matter) without any issues or worriesāits a miracle to me.Theyre right, trained dogs are cooler. -

I have never been more happy to leave a review! We sent our golden doodle, Reggie, to Doug and Talia to work on some basic obedience training but specifically needed them to help him/us with his Reggieās resource guarding. Tonight is Reggieās first night back and I have already seen such a difference. Doug and Talia have given us a new way to communicate with Reggie and it has made the world of a difference. I could tell immediately how much Doug and Talia care for their dogs. They treat each one as they would their own. Plus, they treat each dog differently, caring for each dogās specific needs. I cannot recommend The Wolfpack enough and have already told friends about them! It is the best thing I could have done for not only Reggie, but me and Bobby, his parents. -

I canāt believe how far my dog has come in such a short period.
