Maria and Doug are exactly who you want caring for your dog!! They truly love and understand our little guy like no other. We look forward to Maria’s perceptive and hysterical observations post walks! In addition to her guidance and advice on training tips, she is communicative & flexible!Our pup always gets a great workout and lots of play. We highly recommend them without reservation!

I’m Annie, a 2 year old pit-mix from Ohio. Doug has been walking me daily since I was about 7 months old (when my dad broke both of his elbows!). Doug and Maria have helped me grow through adolescence. I get so excited when I hear Doug open the door to my house. I love to see him and my dog friends we walk with. My parents had a dog (with a lot of issues) five years before I came to live with them. Doug and Maria helped train and care for that dog too. I’m so glad they got to know each other back then, because now I get to benefit from their trusted care.

Weve been clients of Tails on the Town for almost 5 years. The co-owners, Maria & Doug treat my dog like shes their own. They are responsible, trustworthy and loving. When Maria arrives, my dog can sense her outside and gets VERY excited. Shes gets walked in a small group, and Maria works hard to make sure the dogs are compatible. Back in Jan. 2020 Maria tried her out with different dogs to get the right combination and now my dog has lots of friends in the neighborhood! I can recommend Tails on the Town wholeheartedly!

Maria and Doug have been watching our very high maintenance Frenchie for almost 8 years! Our fur baby is our everything, and they treat her like their own. Theyve done everything for our girl - daily walks, boarding when we go on vaca, even emergency pop ins. And our dog Margaux LOVES them. When I tell her that shes going to see Maria and Doug today, she wiggles her whole body in the cutest way. Maria and Doug have also given us great tips and ideas (this is our first dog) - from stimulation games to treat tactics! They are true animal lovers with a ton of knowledge. Also, Maria takes the sweetest photos of the pups she watches - the shots she can get with a bunch of dogs on a stoop are seriously amazing and adorable. I truly cant say enough great things about Tails on the Town - they are just the best.

I feel so fortunate to have found Maria and Tails on the Town! Maria has trained, walked, and sat for my 8 month old puppy Phoebe since I first brought Phoebe home at 12 weeks old. In addition to being a font of dog-related wisdom, Maria truly cares about Phoebe and has always been there to help us out in a pinch. I cannot say enough good things!

Maria is far and away the best dog walker/sitter/trainer I know! After some unpleasant experiences with walkers I had reached out to Maria after meeting her at our local dog park. She met with myself and my dog and assessed our needs and even assisted me with some leash training. My pup used to cower and hide from other walkers, with Maria she runs down the stairs and can’t wait for her adventure with Maria. With Maria I know my dog is safe, walking with a manageable group of dogs, playing in the park and ultimately having a great time (plus she will nap once she gets home). Maria is also incredibly reliable and can even work around my work schedule when needed. I trust Maria implicitly. Her and Doug both have keys to my apartment should my dog need a quick walk if I need to leave my dog at home for a longer period of time. She’s very flexible for any last minute needs, trips, etc. She’s understanding and accommodating to whatever the situation may be with my schedule and an excellent communicator. I know my pup is in amazing hands with Maria, if you’re looking for quality, reliable petcare I highly recommend! My dog LOVES Maria and Doug.

María and Doug are the best! Soon after we adopted our dog, Chloe, I met Maria when I was out for a walk . Feeling completely overwhelmed, Maria was so kind, giving me great advice and seeing Chloe for the sweet, protective pup that she is. Soon after, we started using Doug to walk Chloe. Doug is great, so reliable and kind. Chloe of course loves going on walks with him and the pack. We really lucked out. If I could give more stars, I would!

Doug and Maria have been my Dogwalker for my golden retriever for the past 2 years, and my sister and brother-in-law used them before that. My dog loves Doug and being social with the other dogs! They are both very flexible for our schedules, too. Highly recommend 👍

Tails on The Town is an absolute gem for dog walking and boarding services! Maria and Doug are incredibly attentive and caring, treating every dog like their own. This duo’s compassion goes beyond just dogs — they have saved my butt numerous times over the last 3 years! Through major life events, getting COVID, and most recently breaking my foot, they remain a constant support to me and my dogs. I cannot thank or recommend them enough!

Maria has been walking our pit mix Macy for multiple years. Not unfair to say Macy is more excited to see Maria than us !! Maria doesn’t take large groups out at a time which has been good for us. Maria is always super reliable , absolutely brilliant with our dog and extremely trustworthy. I’d recommend to anyone interested in either regular walks or training.

Doug has been Gunner’s dog walker (and sitter) for 9 years now and I can’t say enough good things about him. He’s very reliable, trustworthy and most of all willing to work with my schedule (even with the last min changes I am known to make), My pup looks forward to his time with Doug whether its with his walks around the neighborhood, a trip to the park, or his overnight stays. There are times that Ill be walking him myself and he spots Doug in the neighborhood walking his doggie friends before I do and wags his tail in happiness. Its then I realize....”Oh, it’s Dougie”. :)I would recommend him to anyone looking for a dog walker.

Maria is my angel and savior for my darling Max. I got Max during the pandemic and this sweet Havapoo was loving but scared of his own shadow. Maria showed Max love and patience and my darling nutty Max is the happiest funny loving dog around because of Maria. Everyday he sits by the window waiting for his second mommy to come and give him all the love a mother can. I cant thank Maria enough for showing my Max so much love. Not everyone is meant to be around animals... But I can say with conviction Maria is truly one in a million. Four years counting and I could not imagine life without her. This is the most dependable, trustworthy dogwalker you will ever have. Love you Maria....

Maria is the best dog walker (and dog whisperer) that weve ever worked with. She has walked our dog Bogey regularly each week for over two years, and was integral to raising our high energy pup. Each day Bogey looks out the window during his usual pick-up time searching for Maria, and comes back from his walks very happy and tired. Maria is trustworthy, kind and very flexible when our schedules shift. We trust Maria completely with our pup and highly recommend working with her!

I CANNOT say enough about Maria. Truly. I have had bad experiences with dog walkers in the past (scaring my dogs into hiding in the home when they come, not showing but still charging) and I was lucky enough to find her in my new neighborhood. She is reliable, flexible and affordable. For the quality of care - you just cant find anyone like her. My pups (and kitties) are very pleased.

We are so incredibly grateful that the our worlds collided with Maria and Doug. They take such wonderful care of our 3yo rescue Basil. Basil has flourished in her relationships with other dogs- which we owe to her group walks with Maria and Doug. Basil can be intimidated by wind and rain- and a myriad of other factors that make Basil reluctant to leave her crate to go outside. But Maria and Doug never fail to get her out and about for her long walks with her new friends. They are also incredibly flexible and responsive to our requests for walks when my husband and my work schedules can be inconsistent. It is of great comfort to know our Basil is in such outstanding hands when we are at work. We are so grateful for Maria and Doug for the love they share and care they provide for our Basil!

Doug and Maria are the best. What started as a once in a while walk became a daily and then a twice daily walk when life got crazy. My dog used to be aggressive and after spending his afternoons with doug he now actively wants to play with other dogs. We boarded our guy with doug and Maria for a week and I could tell the doggy missed them when he came home. After a family emergency today on a Sunday where I texted doug and he was able walk my guy last minute I thought it time to tell the rest of the world. Hire tails on the town your dog and your life will be better for it.

Maria is fantastic! I am very particular about who watches my senior pit bull, Lucy. She needs extra attention on the street because shes dog reactive. As a professional dog trainer, my standards for care is also super high. My husband says that I require Lucys caretakers have a PhD in dog behavior. Maria takes the worry out of the whole process. In fact, she took care of Lucy on my wedding day. It gave me one less thing to worry about.

Maria and Doug have been walking our dog, Kalbi, for 3 years. They are super reliable and professional and very easy to communicate with. Kalbi is not a city dog, is afraid of traffic, and nervous, but they were able to handle her with care and compassion. They leave daily notes and will let us know immediately if theres any concern. We would definitely recommend them!

Doug and Maria are amazing with Jackson. He loves them so much, he has to walk by their place on our walks. Often staring longingly for one of them to come out to say hi.They are always available for walks and boarding. Jax comes home rested and happy, never stressed from being away from home. They have even been there when we had to call last minute walks.

Ive had 3 different dogs over 16 years walk with Maria & Doug. They have such a gift for working with shy/nervous dogs while also being able to entertain my more rambunctious critters. I cant say enough good things about them and the immense trust they build!

I thank my lucky stars I found Maria. After moving, it took a bit to find the right fit for my rat terrier mix Harry - not just for him, but for me too. Maria was it!!!She is so easy to work with, very flexible, takes Venmo (I never have cash so this was essential), and is just generally very chill and cool! Also, Harry is really skittish with new walkers, but Marias small pack walks made him feel comfortable right away!Heres an amazing picture she took of Harry with some of her other pooches. Harrys the black and white dog. LOVE!!!Doug seems cool too. We just havent done any boarding yet so Im all about Miss Maria.
