You cannot go wrong with Not the Rug. I cant say enough good things about Luis and Joseph and the exceptional care theyve provided for our dog, Quincy, from the time he was a tiny puppy until he turned 5 years old. Over the years, theyve been a true friend to Q and we trust them implicitly.Q always came home happy, well-exercised, and content after his walks. They were reliable, punctual, and always went above and beyond, even sending us pictures and updates during their walks. They were also always reliable babysitters when we needed to go out of town and couldn’t bring the pup.The only reason were parting ways is because weve moved to a new neighborhood, but leaving Not the Rug behind was one of the hardest parts of the move. Well miss them dearly and cant recommend them highly enough to anyone looking for someone who will treat your dog with the same love and care as you would.

Not the Rug took expert care of my beloved Cavalier King Charles from the time he was a puppy. There is not a kinder or more trustworthy group of dog walkers. The owner of the company Luis is extremely professional and it shines through how much he loves each and every dog. Our dog loved being walked each day by his walkers from Not the Rug and they always went the extra mile for our family. We highly recommend Not the Rug!

Luis and his team are excellent. They treat my dog Olive with such care and attention, and I always feel confident knowing she’s in good hands. They’re reliable, communicative, and make sure she gets a great walk every time. I highly recommend their service!

Was great with both of my dogs. One of my dogs is not as trusting to new people. But both Luis and Joe took time to come by and play with her so she would be comfortable being walked by them. Very punctual as well. And made booking walking appointments so east.

Leaving Luis was the hardest part of leaving Williamsburg recently!We are grateful to have met him a year ago when he started walking Walter. As new dog owners, we were hesitant to have to leave him daily as he is very nervous around strangers, but quickly grew to trust & rely on Luis.He is always quick to respond, flexible with scheduling, and is accommodating of last minute afternoon walks if we were stuck at work. As a freelancer, that was a lifesaver.He sends an update text after every walk, wipes his paws & gives him a treat. I like that at max there was only ever two other dogs on the walk, so he was getting the attention he needed. Every time we pass Luis in the neighborhood, Walter would get so excited to see him.Weve also boarded him with Luis several times in the past year, and Walter always comes home happy!He & the team at Not The Rug are truly the best. We could not have had a better experience this past year with them.

Where do I begin! As a single parent with a new puppy, I didn’t have the luxury of WFH. I had to work 4 days a week in office so figuring out what to do and who I would trust to watch my baby and take him on walks was very stressful. A dear friend of mine referred Luis and Sara and I contacted Luis to do an assessment with my pup. All went well and I was grateful that he passed. If it wasn’t for Not The Rugs professionalism, being diligent with time management, kindness and love for my puppy I wouldn’t have survived and most likely would’ve had him in day care every day and that’s not what I wanted for him. Sara took care of my pup, 2 walks a day, gave him love and attention and to see him so happy with them makes my heart smile! Thank you Luis and Sara for doing an outstanding job!!!! Your love and attention to detail doesn’t go unnoticed! You are my fairy dog parents! We will miss you!!!!!!!

Luis and his amazing team are the best! Our two dogs adore him and Reana, our primary walker. You can trust Luis to take care of your dog as if it was his own. He is also flexible and accommodating with schedule changes. Your dogs will be in great hands!

We are so fortunate to have found Luis and the Not The Rug team to take care of our 75lb boxer Goose. Goose LOVES Luis and Geo and gets so excited every time he sees them. In the past two years, they have not missed a single walk, and theyve been incredibly flexible with us when weve requested last minute schedule changes or overnight boarding needs. We recently had a baby boy, and Luis even gave us tips on how to best introduce our son to Goose. On top of all of that, the walks are reasonably priced. So grateful to Luis and the Not The Rug team!

The Not The Rug team offers the best dog walking experience in Williamsburg hands down! They do a 45 min walk so my pup gets propper excerise while Im at work.They are trustworthy, reliable and very knowledgeable about all aspects of caring for dogs. Doing things like keeping an eye on her pads making sure there Isnt any salt residue from the winter sidewalks and letting me know if ANYTHING is out of the ordinary. I do get a bit jealous for how excited she gets when they come to walk her.

Ive lived in several neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Ive never been overly impressed with the various dog walking services Ive tried. I recently tried an app based dog walking service, but it was almost a different person each time and the walker had about six dogs. I landed on Not The Rug via a friend and I couldnt be more impressed. Consistent and detailed oriented, my pooch now immediately ditches me when its time for a walk with Not The Rug.

Not The Run Dog Walking is amazing! Theyve been walking my dog, Arya, for a year now and are super reliable, friendly and easy to deal with. Most importantly, my dog loves her dog walked and looks forward to her 2 walks each day. I highly recommend this service!

Luis is a fantastic walker. Pricing is very competitive for the length of the walk. My dog is high energy but was always tired after Luis’s daily walks.He is reliably available, and I never had to stress out about making his schedule work with mine. He is communicative and I appreciated getting a report and photos at the end of each walk. I knew Gracie was in good hands and it helped me relax and focus on work rather than feeling bad about leaving her by herself all day.We are sad to leave him, but we are moving out of Williamsburg :( highly recommend Luis and Not the Rug!

Hands down the best dog walking service in Williamsburg. Luis and his team at Not The Rug are both professional and personable. In addition to being extremely knowledgeable about dogs, the team always comes prepared with fresh water, treats, and paw wipes. The pricing is competitive for the area, which is a big plus. The hardest part of moving out of Brooklyn was losing our favorite walker. Thanks for everything!
