We needed weekend daycare for our senior dachshund Arya since she’s been dealing with some separation anxiety, and we were so happy to find Red Hydrant. Jeff and Steven are SO nice and accommodating, they send great updates and take such great care of the dogs. Arya loves going to red hydrant more than other places, and we feel so comfortable leaving her there. Can’t recommend them enough. Thank you so much Jeff and Steven!

Jeff and Steven at The Red Hydrant have been incredible. This was the first place that I felt comfortable leaving my 11 month 7.5 lb mini dachshund at. Daisy is shy with other dogs and loves to be with people. She hates being left alone, which is why I decided we needed a daycare spot, since I started an onsite job the other month. Jeff is communicative about how Daisy is doing throughout the day, with text/photo/videos updates, and that means everything to me. It’s really helped any previous anxiety I had. The other dogs there are so sweet, especially Jeff’s dog Lola. Really happy the Red Hydrant exists and that Daisy has a safe space to go to when needed ❤️

We will be using these guys every time we need a boarding house for our puppy. They were incredibly accommodating to our specifics needs and were communicative throughout our entire time apart. Jeff sent videos and photos every day (examples attached) and even downloaded WhatsApp to send them as we were out of the country. Overall our puppy had a great time and we felt he was in the best of hands while we were gone.

As a first time puppy mom, I was very anxious about leaving my puppy Ozzy with anyone else that wasn’t family.However, after visiting The Red Hydrant and meeting Jeff, I felt more at ease. The facility was clean and my puppy felt comfortable immediately!Jeff is super attentive and thorough when it comes to walking, potty, and feeding schedules. He was able to administer Ozzy’s medication successfully — which was such a relief!Ozzy enjoys The Red Hydrant and loves making new friends! He has been going to The Red Hydrant 1-2 a week and is always so excited to see Jeff—just goes to show how much Jeff and his staff treat Ozzy as if he was their own.To top it off, The Red Hydrant has a pick up and drop off service which is extremely convenient for full-time working pup parents.Ozzy’s care and time at The Red Hydrant has been amazing! Jeff sends frequent updates throughout the day and I am glad to have a trusted facility to look after my puppy while I am at work.I would highly recommend!

The Red Hydrant is hands down the best dog boarding spot in Brooklyn! My dog, Cabbie, is like family there. The personalized care they provide is unmatched – they take Cabbie out on individual walks, which she absolutely adores! Its not just a boarding place; its a second home for her.The daily updates they send are amazing! Its so reassuring to see her happy and having a blast while Im away. And Jeff, the owner, is a gem of a person, easy to talk to, and quick to respond. He genuinely cares about every dog that walks through the door.Overall, The Red Hydrant gets two paws up from us! If youre looking for a place where your fur baby will be treated like royalty, look no further.

Listen… I’m getting straight to the point! Why? Because my excitement for Red Hydrant lends me no other choice :). Just when I thought there wasn’t a doggy daycare that would cater to my pup, my love without jumping through 1000 hoops, here comes Red Hydrant and Jeff, it’s extraordinary owner! The level of care, compassion and concern that Jeff brings to his business is unparalleled. Red Hydrant offers on an exceptional pick up and drop off service for the busy professional to the pet parent that just wants to entrust someone else with their precious cargo. I have never seen such a connection that my love has with anyone else like Jeff! When he comes to pick him up daily, my love turns in 1000 pup circles and can’t even catch his breath, because he genuinely looks forward to the time he gets to spend with Jeff and the other pups at daycare. Jeff not only picks and drops off my love, he refreshes his water when he drops him off, locks up securely when he is leaving, I get consistent texts when he is delivering my love home and when they arrive at daycare as well as pictures and updates throughout the day! The exemplary customer service and love that Jeff pours into my pup and the others in his care, which I have witnessed, is consistent. Jeff’s personality is so sweet and golden; he has a unique way of integrating each pup into the daycare circle of existing pups. He is cautious, patient, knowledgeable, accessible , answers his phone on and off peak times and is always willing to work out fitting me in on last minutes notice. To know me is to know that I am a last minute client! Sometimes I wake up unsure if I want to spend the day with my love or send him off to doggy heaven with Jeff and his crew! I have never felt so safe, confident and supported. My life is very chaotic. I am so less organized than I used to be. Jeff has absolutely been instrumental in me saving precious space for myself and leaving the heavy lifting to him and his team! Jeff and Steven are a dynamic duo! From the amazing points of communication to the daily walks to the texts and phone calls…I am in the right place. The facility also offers overnight boarding, in-home boarding, walks only (which is paired with a a link that shows you when your pet’s walk has begun and ends). The coolest part for me is seeing my love saddle up and be whisked away in Jeff’s mobile, where he is so excited for his excursion each and every time! You don’t need to call around and interview multiple businesses like you are hiring a contractor to renovate your outdated bathroom! Jeff is a force to reckon with, a one stop shop and deserves your business at first point of contact. Disclaimer: Jeff and I did not know one another prior to my experience. I was not paid for this review and this review has been long over due! Shoot your shot at the Red Hydrant… Jeff will take care of the rest! Jeff and staff are amazing! I wouldn’t leave my dogs anywhere else. It’s always clean and my babies are so well taken care of, they also do a great job sending pics and videos of your pet throughout their stay.

Wonderful place! Red Hydrant came to the rescue after my sitter cancelled last minute before a trip. Super clean facilities and variety of sleeping options to board your pup. I got daily picture updates, easy communication while I was gone, and appreciated that my dog also got daily walks during her stay. She made lots of friends and was a happy dog when I picked her up.

Highly recommend Red Hydrant for boarding! Jeff is extremely communicative with updates and our puppy is always happy to go back. She loves it. The first time we ever dropped our pup off to board, she had recently been spayed and had a few days left for recovery. They were very accommodating in keeping her safe from the other dogs and although we were nervous at first, felt at complete ease!!

I have been looking for a doggy daycare that’ll be a good fit for my puppy for over 6 months, and I’m beyond grateful to have finally found it at Red Hydrant! Jeff and his team are so kind, accommodating and communicative, and truly treated my pup with such care.They sent me pictures, videos, and updates throughout the day, including from her walk. The space wasn’t overcrowded and you could tell they prioritized monitoring and giving each dog attention and love. I’ve never seen her warm up so quickly to a daycare and I’m so happy to now have a go-to location I can trust.The space was also clean and well maintained, and she didn’t reek when I picked her up, unlike her experiences with other facilities in the past. 5+ stars!!

Can’t recommend the Red Hydrant enough! We had a great experience boarding our dog for an extended stay. Jeff even downloaded Whatsapp to accommodate our communication needs! We received several texts, pictures, and videos with updates. Jeff also made sure we knew to bring everything our dog needed, and to outline instructions that they could follow. That really made all the difference — knowing that our dog would keep a similar routine and the fact that we would get consistent updates let us just miss our dog, rather than worry about him!

Were so happy we found The Red Hydrant. Jeff and Steve really care about the pets they look after and are really communicative; I especially love the updates of what my nervous/cranky senior dog is up to during daycare, and most recently, boarding. Im a former dog walker/cat sitter and have been neurotic about finding the right place for my senior pup, and happy to report this place is it. It gives me peace of mind knowing shes safe and cared for. Five stars all around!

Our kids Sophia and Oliver had a great big beautiful wonderful incredible super spectacular week, we got fotos and videos of them and they acomedated us with our needs, I recommend that on your next journey or vacation really give them a call!

I have a very anxious cavalier king charles & aside from him being anxious I’m definitely a helicopter dog mom. (I’m someone who will subway all the way back home to check on my dog & make sure he’s not alone for more than 5 hours at a time) So I never trusted or had people I didn’t know take care of my dog when I went away.But a last minute situation left my pup Rooney staying at The Red Hydrant for 6 days. I cannot express how AMAZING everyone was there. The amount of updates left me never worrying about him. They are so thorough about walking, taking them potty, feedings, & play time! If you have any specific instructions (ie: feeding times, medication) they do everything properly & at the time frame you ask for with photo/video updates. They always responded promptly!The facility itself is so clean & amazingly taken care of. I genuinely felt like Jeff & his entire team just love ALL the dogs as if they were their own.Rooney is much more of a people person than with other dogs so they allowed him to sit on laps & be held to make him comfortable with a new environment.They even offer a service to drop/pick up your pup, making everything worry free & convenient! I cannot recommend the red hydrant enough!Rooney misses you all already! :-)

As the helicopter dog mom that I am I was very nervous to leave my dog with anyone. Jeff was so gracious about the hundreds of questions I had and took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. I love the picture updates throughout the day. My dog is leash reactive and needs a bit of extra patience, Jeff made me feel at ease leaving her in his care. Highly recommend!

The staff are very reliable and responsive in daily updates which I greatly appreciated! They were very attentive to details and catered to the individual dog and their personalities! I would highly recommend boarding here and or doggy daycare. They are great people who really love animals!

We followed our walker over when he started this business because I truly love how patient and considerate he is with my dog (she has a lot of anxiety and reactivity issues). Love the text updates while theyre on a walk and you even get a little pic to enjoy as well! Excited to see this place grow and definitely recommend for your walker/daycare needs!
