We’ve brought our 60 lb GS mixed boy here multiple times for both daycare and boarding. He’s a nervous one but warmed up to all the staff immediately. He loves it so much that when we pick him up he does his business outside and then immediately wants to go back. And he’s a Velcro boy that usually wants to be right up our butts 24/7 (ex: he’s laying directly under my computer chair as I write this).It’s also great that you’re able to see the space and it isn’t hidden behind doors. I tried another spot that was closer to home one time and everything was behind frosted glass so you couldn’t even see the area (and they didn’t even offer me a tour like Paws and Rec did). I don’t know what went on while he was with them but he couldn’t wait to leave that other place.Paws and Rec is also great at posting. On vacation it’s always nice to pull up instagram and see your dog having fun while you are.Overall I can’t recommend Paws and Rec enough and would bring him there every day if our budget would allow❤️

The Paws & Rec team is fantastic with our pup, Skye. She is pretty happy boarding there (she’s very attached to her home so she’s not thrilled to be away anywhere) and they take great care of her. The grooming is excellent as well!

I highly recommend Paws & Rec center to all dog parents. The facility is huge, very clean. I love their backyard, dogos are soo happy and free to do what dogos do. They also have pool parties on Saturday. The staff and management are extremely professional and welcoming. My baby Elvis has been there a few times and hes come back home soo so happy and tired from all the playing. If youre looking for a great day care for your future babies, look no further, this is the place for your dogo!

We have had a wonderful experience with Paws and Rec. We originally chose it because it had real outdoor space where she could do her business (as opposed to other places where this really did not exist in a meaningful way) and were very happy with the whole ethos of the place and the service we received. We have dropped our dog there multiple times for boarding when we go on vacation and she has always come back in good shape, tired and happy. We only wish it was closer to where we live in Brooklyn, but have made the trek due to the positive experience.

We LOVE Paws and Rec and so does our 13 month old Golden Doodle Bella.We first used them for boarding for an overnight stay. We then did progressively longer stays - a weekend, a week and finally two weeks. While she definitely missed us, she absolutely loves going there. She runs in whenever we bring her (vs lets say, the vet).While were away we live for the photos of her having fun with her buddies on Paws & Recs instagram account. It helps us manage how much we miss her.And then theres the option of getting her cleaned before we pick her up, which is also really nice.Weve recently started using them for day care as weve had to go back to the office and she loves it. Again, shes excited to go in and see her buddies. Shes anxious to be let through the gate so she can play.When I go pick her up, shes excited to see me and SO pooped. I bring her home and she passes out after dinner. And frankly, I LOVE IT. I dont have to worry about how much or little she played and spend the little energy I have left after work on trying to entertain her.

Having a dog in the city is hard, but Paws and Rec makes it easy and stress free! My dog Roxi has been getting daily walks with Paws and Rec since September, and she has stayed overnight and attended daycare numerous times. The staff and owners are incredibly friendly and communicative, and flexible whenever they can be! I appreciate that they have packages and accommodate same day drop offs for daycare if needed. Jenny and the team are the best, and Roxi loves y’all!!

We have boarded our 9-year-old French Bulldog with Paws & Rec a few times and have been very happy with our experience. This was the first time we have boarded our dog, so we were very hesitant at first! He is very particular in his old age and they accommodated all of his quirks and made us (and him) feel at ease! Alfie has loved his time there and will be back!

I couldnt recommend Paws & Rec more highly! Our dog is epileptic and requires medicine 3 times a day. We had never boarded him before because we worried about him being alone overnight. The fact that Paws & Rec has someone sleep with the dogs they board was SUCH a relief to us. Our dog was SO well taken care of and we will be clients for life!

We have used Paws & Recs dog walking and boarding services and have been completely satisfied. When our dog had some behavioral issues, their team worked with us to accommodate his needs. Jenny and team were also always extremely communicative and open with feedback on what would work best for our specific schedules and issues, which helped us develop a great system and sense of trust.

The great thing about dogs is that they can’t lie to you. Every time my dog realizes we’re getting closer to Paws and Rec she immediately starts running so she can get there faster and greet all her friends and favorite attendants. Many who’ve been working there since we started coming two years ago!Quick TLDR:- family-owned and certainly feels that’s way! Jenny, the owner, works there on the daily with her sons and is always available for a quick text / question- the attendants are so awesome, learn who you are, who is your dog, and their personality- daily updates on their IG stories of your fur baby - the best!- good sized backyard for them to get outside and play in the water for the summer- I love their different holiday get togethers so we can meet other dog parents and see them all in actionOverall:I’ve used all their services - daycare, boarding, training, grooming - and have never had a problem. It’s not the cheapest but it’s worth the peace of mind and huge smile on your dog’s face!

Amazing, amazing team! My fur baby is always wagging her tail when we get near the Paws and Rec doors, so happy to see everyone, happy to have yard time to play outside as well as water activities, and happy interacting with other puppies. Have left her for daycare, training, and boarding—and we have had a wonderful experience for all three. Shoutout to Samantha and Jenny and the rest of the team for taking such good care of all doggos!

Paws & Rec was my saving grace last year when I was in desperate need of daycare for my furbaby Thor. Almost 1 year ago, Thor came into my life with severe Separation Anxiety & hadnt been trained properly. Thor is almost 2 years old now & with the help from Paws & Rec not only with daycare services, boarding services, and grooming services all available in house; Thor was able to recieve proper training for behavior, walking, socializing with other pups, & with his separation anxiety. The staff here is absolutely AMAZING! They are friendly, knowledgeable, caring, professional & are great at keeping you posted on your furbaby while they are in their care. This past July I was able to go away on vacation for 11 days & know 100% that Thor would be taken care of. I would never leave him anywhere with anyone but the staff at Paws & Rec. Thank you to everyone there who has helped care for Thor - you guys are the Furbaby Guardian Angels!

If you are looking for a safe, caring and fun place for your furbaby, look no further. I have purchased the day care packages which are flexible and allow for different schedules -- and even some early drop offs and late pickups. Love the grooming option and that he is walked most day (weather permitting) and the team shares photos and posts of the fun activities most days. My pup drags me thorough the front door every drop off which tells me he is loved and well-cared for by the team.

I have brought my dog for boarding and day care and cannot recommend Paws & Rec more. They are genuinely family run and it shows. My dog always comes home clearly well loved and cared for, and tired in the best way! I believe it is worth a slightly higher fee to know my dog is never in a kennel and there is always someone on site. The space is also very large, both indoor and outdoor, so lots of space to run and play. My dog is not always big on playing with other dogs, and she always got the human attention she really wanted. Look no further!

We wanted the best for our adorable pup, and after a month of searching for a boarding facility, we found Paws and Rec. The facility is impeccably clean, and the staff ensured our pup received top-notch care. Owners Jenny and Javier personally played with her, even hand-feeding when she wasn’t eating initially. They treated her like family, keeping us updated on her well-being, allowing us to enjoy our vacation with peace of mind. Highly recommend this place; they’ve become our pup’s second family. ❤️❤️❤️

Our dog has been a part of the Paws & Rec family since we first adopted him 6 years ago. He does pack walks with his amazing walker, Dan, whom we all love--and who is so dedicated to the dogs. The walks are much better than walks we do--he gets exercise and makes dog friends. He also boards with Paws & Rec on 4th Ave whenever we are away, and hes always just a wee bit sad to come home, we think. He loves it there. And we do too. We are so grateful that Mo gets such great care! What lovely people!

We have been clients of Paws & Rec for pack walks and boarding for the last two years. Our Buddy is an athletic and active dog, so the pack walks have been a godsent to keeping him active and happy since we both work and cant walk him as often as he needs during the day. The walkers are very friendly and super reliable. Buddy can be reactive and they handle him so well. Buddy always comes back happy from boarding. We even got a pic of him cuddling with another dog, something we never thought he would do! We are so lucky to have this wonderful family business for our Buddy!

I bring my one year old dog here. He absolutely loves it. Once we are in the door, he’s straight to playing with the other lovely dogs that spend time here. Most of the dogs here are bigger than him and I always worry that he’ll get hurt but luckily the staff are always in the vicinity and watching the dogs. Daycare at Paws & Rec is a great way for our pup to get all his energy out for a week! We have also boarded here too, and I’m glad they don’t use crates because my pup loves to cuddle at bedtime.

Paws and Rec has been walking my dog for 10 years. Jennifer is the matriarch and manager could not be nicer or more thoughtful about my dog. I get calls and texts if the walker notices my dog has diarrhea or a limp or anything else concerning. The walkers themselves are always delightful and love their job!

Hunny has been going to Paws for daycare and boarding for 2 years. She is an anxious girl but the paws and rec team has always taken great care of her and makes sure she feels safe. She always drags us through the door for drop off and is thrilled whenever she runs into any of the staff in the neighborhood.

Our pup is not always an easy one. He can jump high fences (hes cleared almost 6 before) and has a bit of separation anxiety. Weve left him overnight at PawsnRec a couple times though, and hes been happy and tired out when we picked him up. And more importantly (in my opinion) the attendant has seemed calm and attentive to the troupe of pups hanging out with him for the weekend. Only note is that pricing is a bit high compared to others in the area who offer the same cage-free services.

When our doggie Hache boards with Paws & Rec hes always happy to go in, in fact he runs in! Its a family run business and communication is excellent!! Grooming is an option before you pick up your dog, which is a nice treat for doggie and family! Hache always comes home in good shape after boarding with Paws & Rec, groomed or not!!

I love Paws & Rec - My dog joined their pack walks 2x/week and they provide much longer walks than most places, and Jack always comes back exhausted in the happiest of ways. Hes also boarded there while ive been away and they have a great staff on hand to keep my sometimes temperamental dog in check and even give him all the cuddles he loves (they send pics which i love). I also started working with their trainer and i without exaggeration saw changes within my dog within the very first session. Id been dealing with a dog that can be unpredictable and whos temperament towards other dogs on walks has caused a ton of stress during walks, as well as strain on my relationship with my dog as silly as that may sound. Seeing such amazing improvements within the first training session was an immense comfort and its only gotten better and better. I was so hesitant to do training because i never knew what method worked best or if itd work at all. Meeting with Alina before for an assessment (no charge) helped her determine the kind of training thatd work best and map out a plan with me. In that assessment i had also threw out would 10 sessions be enough to start and she actually corrected me saying she thinks 5 is better - not trying to oversell me was a great early indication that this wasnt a gimmick and i would be able to see results. I can confidently say now having done the training with Alina, that training with her/paws & rec does work and is a really great offering.
