I adopted a beautiful 7month old kitty named Lilo today Nov 2,2024. I got her home and opened the box she had this shine in her eyes. I let her come out of the box on her own and she came right up to me stretching out asking to be held. Wow.. she explored for a bit never tired to hide and not skittish at all. Loves everyone. Comes when called and loves to cuddle. I picked a winner THANKYOU to the staff at Greece ridge for taking good care of Lilo while she was there. She has made herself at home and will be shown nothing but love.

I adopted an older cat named Kaos, he is very vocal and affectionate. Im grateful and wanted to thank whomever paid his adoption fees. Its just myself and him. Kaos will be pampered and loved; strictly inside housecat. As for Lollypop Farms I give them five stars, they made sending Kaoss medical records to my vet easy.

Get Louie in 2 hours. Hes such an angel! 😇100% recommendation.**Update: Louie got familiar with me and his new home literally in 2 hours, now hes letting me petting his belly. Without being taken care by Lollypops stuffs, theres no way he could fit in so well. Thanks to all of you!

Just adopted Mimi today. A quick and easy process, Lollypop Farms gave us all the necessary paperwork and a few days worth of food - along with a bunch of other vet resources and store coupons. Mimi is especially friendly and has very quickly adjusted to her new home. She took about 10 minutes exploring our living room and kitchen before she was ready for play time! After eating a good bowl of food and drinking quite a bit of water, she’s settling in for a nap on the couch, as you can see. We couldn’t be happier to have Mimi as a part of the family!

We walked around the walking path to see the animals. Lots of the animals were far and hard to see but it is a pleasant walk. There’s a book spread out through the path. My baby saw: pigs, horses, cows, goats, emus, turtles. At the adoption center we saw some cats, turtles, bunnies, mice. We also bought some toys for our dog there.

This place is amazing! The whole experience was just smooth and very organized. I would highly recommend getting any new family members from here. This is our story....We recently added a new member to our family. His name is Diesel and he is just the missing puzzle piece that we needed. He is definitely a big lap dog (at 79 lbs) and we adopted him from Lollypop Farm. We looked at a couple of other dogs but I kept coming back to him. He really looked sad and just wanted some love. We requested a meet and greet once we realized that he would adapt well in our home. Lollypop told us that our big guy didnt like toys, but when he comes in the meet and greet he grabs a toy and starts chowing down. He had so much personality explode out that I was hooked. We definitely had found our newest member. They provided vaccinations, microchipping, toys, food, collar, and a vet visit free! Diesel has been a wonderful addition to our family and we couldnt be happier. My son tells everyone he has a new brotherPlease dont get upset when they tell you that an animal wont be the best fit for your family. They are placing these fur babies in homes that will work with the animals personality, not yours. They want what is best for them, not you. Understand that.

Great family friendly place to visit with animals. Staff could be more helpful with questions and being friendly. The animals are the love of the farm. Supporting our animal friends so a home can be found for them and they can be showered with love🌺💓😺

  • Review 10 (2016-07-17 - Rating: 4)

I really enjoyed my visit to Lollypop Farms. The animals appeared to be well taken care of, and the workers look out for their health (you cant just pet most of the animals, a way to prevent the spread of any illness). I personally found this to be a bummer as I love petting animals, but I understood why. You can pet the goats though, which is a great experience for all ages. The goats themselves are quite friendly, and love to be pet! Walking around the outdoor trail and seeing the larger animals (horses, pigs, ducks, large birds, etc.) was very nice

Im 34 years old. On my 7th birthday I adopted my dog April (then known as Chloe), a black lab / Brittany mix, from Lollypop Farm. April was a young puppy at the time and lived 14 years from the date of her adoption. She quickly became my best friend. In fact, at some times during my childhood, she was my only source of comfort. One of my favourite memories is how she would walk down the hallway every night, stopping in every bedroom of the house to make sure every member of the family was okay before walking back to her crate to go back to sleep. To this day, I have never met a better dog.Thank you for making that possible, and Im glad to see that youre able to continue that mission all these years later! To anyone considering adopting through Lollypop Farm, please do.

  • Review 12 (2024-01-08 - Rating: 5)

Lollypop Farm is a caring and special place for many animals like the one we adopted and named Mr. Blue he was rescued by Lollypop workers when people in a metro-Rochester neighborhood said they had seen him wandering around and no one had claimed him as their pet. When I first saw Mr. Blue at Lollypop, he seemed scared, yet allowed me to pet him. When my husband came to meet him he nearly jumped into my husbands arms. We have had Mr. Blue for 2 1/2 years now. He remains very loving and close toward my husband and now is loving toward me too. He lets me know when he would like me to give him a Greenie treat and now lets me know when he would like me to brush him. The anxiety he initially showed by frequently throwing up still happens when there are unusual noises outside our house or people with whom he is not familiar. We give him a diet that is easier to digest with pumpkin that he seems to very much enjoy it. He is a very aware, playful and loving kitty. We are so very happy we adopted Mr. Blue who was 5 or 6 years old when we adopted him.

Ive had the pleasure to adopt at cat from lollypop, the staff is always professional, courteous, and helpful, and its clear their priority is the safety and wellbeing of the animals there. They helped me find my best friend, Nugget, when I went to adopt a cat I had a few cats in mind, however, none of them seemed to be a good fit in person, so the staff brainstormed for a moment recommended a different cat and it was love at first site! Ive had Nugget ever since then. I highly recommend and support this shelter.

Volunteered here for years (cats, horses) and learned more than I expected to! Very high level animal care and behavior help. Then I fostered and adopted two cats. Was treated so individually and given so much.

  • Review 20 (2023-06-23 - Rating: 5)

What a wonderful staff and amazing people they have working there! The woman Suzie that showed me my kitten told us the price and we were a little weary but then decided to adopt the cat which we thought was a girl and I was at the pet store when she called and told me I would be getting my kitten for free because of a mix up and that he was actually the male of the two cats. Mind you I didn’t mind paying because I already had but the fact that they called and told me and refunded my money just shows it is an honest shelter that truly cares about their animals finding good homes! Our new companion is home now bringing so much joy to my 5 year old son! And he’s the most precious little kitten ever! I highly recommend lollipop farm if I adopt another animal it will only be through them! Thank you lollipop for the amazing experience oh and not to mention the kitten came fixed and vaccinated!!!! So happy with the outcome of our trip there. *update* since we adopted our kitten I’ve needed some paperwork I misplaced or didn’t have and they got back to me with everything I needed the SAME day both times! And today I was on a time crunch and sure enough they came through with what I needed even though they opened late in the day! They still sent everything along AND called me to make sure I got it! This place is absolutely amazing and the staff truly cares for the animals even when they leave the facility! Again thank you our kitten is wonderful and loving! Even adjusted so wonderful to my 5 year old!

There was an injured young cat visiting us for several months. We borrowed a gentle trap & took her to Lollypop Farm. The intake person was so kind & understanding. She explained the entire process to us.They have an Amazon wish list for those who want to help them. We just received new towels, so we donated our clean & gently used towels.

We had an appointment and they took us right in on time. The staff is amazing. Everyone cares about their job. They genuinely care about the animals. They do their best job to try to match the animals with the customer. We found about three cats that were of interest. The best cat for us was matched perfectly. She loves us and we love her. Very happy

Its a beautiful facility, we have adopted several cats and dogs over the years from them. It can be a bit hard to get a hold of staff, especially on the phone. The trainers seem very good, both there and one, Rebecca, came for a home visit and was quite helpful and informative. Its a shelter, so the information they have on animals is often very limited, and you are taking a step into the unknown in some ways. Rescues where the animal has been fostered for a while often know much more about the animals behavior and disposition. But the animals we have gotten from Lollypop had been well cared for, and all have turned out to be wonderful animal friends!

We went to visit Lollypop just to browse. We found a lab that we liked but found out she was not suitable for our 2 year old. We were upset but the lady at the desk said there was a lab puppy yet to be put out and we could see him. We did and fell in love. We didnt think wed be able to take him home that day but we did!It was a smooth and easy process and we got him half off! Hes a great addition to our family and we couldnt be happier with Lollypop!

  • Review 37 (2018-08-29 - Rating: 5)

Hi, Ive never reviewed anything in my life before but, Im simply appalled by what Ive just experienced. It was cruel, humiliating and outright unjustified. I love Lollypop farm, I visit all the time and was even planning to apply for a full time job there when Im of age ( I have all of the paperwork and everything). Yesterday, we went in to see the kitten options they had. My boyfriend and his grandmother recently lost their 8 year old cat, this visit meant A LOT to us because a hole had been left in our family and has been effecting our lives daily. Not to mention, his grandmother can barely walk and rarely leaves the house, its painful for her to go anywhere. We fell in love with a kitten named Freckles, the only Male kitten there and the only kitten my boyfriend could fall in love with. We asked if we could see the kitten but, Im 16 and my boyfriend is 17 (turning 18 in just a few days) so they said we couldnt see him. We vouched to come in today at 9 o clock sharp with an adult for the cat and we did; we left the house at 8:30 and when we got there, there was only one couple waiting and the doors were still closed. But we were on the property with his grandmother struggling to stand with no seating in the hot sun so we were sure it would be worth the trouble and wed get our kitty. The couple there before us immediately made sure we werent there for the same cat and we werent. Seems perfect right? Next, arrived another young woman, sadly she was looking for the same cat they were and had already met with the cat out of the cage, where as the couple had only seen her. The woman, however has the common human decency to say oh well, first come first serve means first come first serve. Obviously, everyone there seemed to understand the rules we had been told, first come, first serve. Next arrived a young man who refused to talk to anyone there and claimed he was getting a cat for his gf. Every person there joked saying, hopefully its not Michele or Freckles because, we all got here first. The man refused to tell us what cat he was there for. At 9 o clock sharp, the manager opened the store and we all flooded in. My boyfriend and I immediately went to the cat we wanted, saying good morning and requesting to meet him but, the young man who had just arrived was already being handed and helped with the form. Yet, everyone there had been told we couldnt put the cats on hold, and everyone who had gotten there AFTER us were already getting their cats. You see, my boyfriends grandma was still struggling to get through the door. The man then preceded to purchase the cat before us, causing me and my boyfriends grandmother to cry. Every customer there was telling the man he had no right to the cat since, we had been there first. Yet, here we are with no cat, never going to PetSavers ever again. I have never heard an elderly woman so upset in my life, just because of our ages, our family wasnt allowed the right to a pet that obviously loved us and we obviously loved very much. I am highly disappointed in the Webster PetSavers location for this atrocious customer service and this outright horrific day. Although were still going to get a cat through Lollypop, I will never go into that PetSavers even if Ive been buying from there since the day it opened in the plaza. Thank you and I hope this issue of morality is fixed now.

Lollypop farm in Fairport, NY is an amazing animal shelter. They have a huge facility designed to care and shelter animals of all types and species. Whether youre adopting or dropping off, this is the best place to go to. Very well run with lots of amenities for all the animals and the staff is friendly, very knowledgeable and professional. You can even visit for free just to have a day out for the agricultural experience. 5 stars!

I have adopted two cats, Pumkin came home October 30th, 2015 and Jackson came home just a few months later. Pumkin is never more than a few steps away-she’s a huge snuggle bug since the day I got her. Jackson was an office cat there for a while before I got him- and still a big boy. I call him my 23 pounds of love. Both times the adoption process has been smooth and I would not hesitate to go here again when I add to my fur family in the future.

  • Review 40 (2016-06-05 - Rating: 4)

.I can understand that people are upset with Lollypop for putting animals to sleep. BUT, who is going to pay for all the animals, their upkeep, their health, their housing? Are you ? Where are the no kill shelters? Do they have any room? Who funds them? Did you know the pets in no kill shelters live their lives in cages? Where is free roaming now? If Lollypop does not screen people thoroughly, the home the pet ends up in can be worse than being put to sleep. Lollypop clearly states to use Lollypop as a last resort. The fault lies in the people who are not dedicated to keeping their pets AND taking care of them.We have 8 rescue cats inside and maybe 5-8 outside (who are not fed or cared for, that neighbors own) We are taking care of with food and shelter, but no shots, no love, fighting, predators, parasites, and the like. People need to step up and take care of their pets, educate yourselves, your children and grandchildren, and keep your commitments. The issue is with the owners. Its too bad that people cant be on the receiving end of this epidemic, instead of animals.

OK people I have been adopting form lollypop farm for my whole life and all my animals are healthy energetic and playful I think all you poopers who are giving lollipop a bad review should take a look at themselves you really need to step back and look at what theyre doing for the community you guys out there need to stop I have adopted becoming two year old kitten that is healthy energetic playful and the kindest little cat Ive ever met. I dont think that he has anything wrong with him. Okay sometimes they might have to put down animals just because something is really wrong when they cant fix it or they have some reason to and I know reasons can be little or restraining. But they take care and love each of each and every animal they send us emails to check in on how are on how my cat is doing and we send them a picture and tell them how hes doing will send as text messages and when they will call us they really truly care about every single animal in there. I just dont understand how you people can just sit there and give lollipop a bad review I dont know how you sleep with yourself at night I dont understand how you dont have guilt biting you in the back of your neck. If you have any problems with my review reply or apply it like I care

I just adopted a dog here because he was givin a chance. Nash is a dog who was acting crazy, not very good at the shelter. I had been worned multiple times! I still made the decision to get him and make him my family. Within the first 24 hours we have formed a bond that is unbreakable. He sits, he lets go of toys. He has already improved on the leash and he will go lay down in the crate with the door open. He loves car rides and getting verbal praise. He loves tug if war and has become good at fetch. He is much more mellow in a home environment and was seriously stressed in the animal shelter. But what these people have done is take a dog that looked hopless and given him a chance taught him lasting behaviors that make my life easier and gave me a new best friend. Im grateful that I was able to become the owner of this amazing animal. And I owe that opportunity to Lollypop Farm. An organization I will stand by for life! Nash and I will definitely be back for a visit!

If youre looking for a pet in the Rochester area, look here first. Their behavior team does great work with animals that would otherwise be difficult to find homes for, and the adoption fees are a steal when you factor in the costs of all the vet care Lollypop provides for them during their stay.

  • Review 92 (2022-12-31 - Rating: 5)

We took our family in the hopes of adopting a dog we saw online. The staff was very courteous and pleasant to speak with. Although the dog had been adopted, we spent time walking through the dog and cat areas, our youngest loved the bunnies, mice, and turtle too! There is also a huge outdoor area to see goats, pigs, horses, and emu. For the pets that are up for adoption, they seem to provide as much information as possible to try and fit them with a good home.

We adopted our new family member from Lollypop. He is the best dog and we are already so in love. Lollypop’s organization is amazing and the process was very thorough and comforting. They do a great job of making sure you are a good fit for your pet. They also take the time to explain advice and input from the behavior team. As a kid, I grew up with dogs, but this is MY first dog on my own as an adult. Now at 30 years old, I can tell you this will not be my last adoption from here. We are so lucky to have Lollypop farm in our community. Thank you for everything your organization does! We can’t thank you enough for our new best friend.

We adopted our cat here yesterday and had the best experience with the entire process. We stopped by Lollypop Farm just to look at the cats that were available. Mary, a volunteer, was very helpful and did not pressure us into anything; she was honest and thorough in providing us with information about each cat. We looked at a few cats but fell in love with one that is perfect for us and we left feeling like we had made the right decision. I highly recommend this facility!

I always enjoy visiting Lollypop Farm. I love animals, wish I could adopt them all! Yes, sometimes I have a tear in my eye when I leave but know also that Lollypop will do the best they can to adopt and care for all of the animals. The facility is quite nice, clean an enjoyable experience both visiting the cats, dogs, birds, small animals and all of the farm animals.

  • Review 106 (2023-02-24 - Rating: 5)

    Very nice people. Great facility.

  • Review 107 (2016-03-19 - Rating: 5)

I wanted to address just a few major misconceptions that people posting negative reviews about Lollypop seem to have.In regards to the fact that they are a kill shelter: First and foremost, the decision to terminate any animals life is not a decision that they take lightly. Many people choose to drop off animals with diseases and health issues too severe to handle in hopes of giving the animal one last chance. Other animals, especially dogs, are brought in with major human aggression issues. Lollypop cannot release these animals to be adopted - It wouldnt be right to the customers that they serve. Yes, Lollypop is a kill shelter. No, savable, adoptable animals are not being killed without considerations.Next, yes, Lollypop will make you jump through hoops. They expect you to live in a stable home, be at least 21 years old, and be a good fit for any animal that you adopt. This mans that they will not adopt out shy dogs to people with loud kids, active dogs to people with inactive lifestyles, or dog-aggressive dogs to people that already have dogs. Yes, there are a lot of requirements. These requirements are in please to ensure that the animals are going to forever homes, and not simply ending back at the shelter when a family is unable to care for them. With all of that said, Lollypop farm is a great place to get an animal. All dogs and cats are evaluating for behavior, health, and other issues before they are adopted out. The facilities are nice, the adoption counselors will work with you to find the right pet for you, and the behavior team works hard to help you train/bond with your new dog.Great place.

This is a wonderful place if you want to just look at some animals or if you intend to adopt they have all sorts of animals ranging from cats dogs horses pigs and more theres also an area where you can interact with some of the animals theyre always clean and well maintained

  • Review 113 (2015-12-03 - Rating: 4)

We LOVE our new dog! He is so awesome & adoption was made easy. I guess my only complaint would be that they required us to pay for and attend dog training classes, which was totally unneeded and unnecessary.

  • Review 117 (2012-09-18 - Rating: 5)

What people did not realize is that Lollypop farm is trying to safe life. They want to save as many animal as they could. But on the other hand, they have responsibility to minimize potential risks to human society and reduce burden for animals. Most of the animal who has been putting down are animals with incurable diseases such as chronic sickness or cancers. They are put down to minimize the burden. Some of others have aggressive behavior due to the stress or bad experiences, those animals need to be put down since they will be a potential risk to your kids, family members or you neighbors. When you people spend so much time on complaining what Lollypop has done wrong, what have you guys done? I am sure that complaining behind your laptop will save more life than what Lollypop does.

I adopted an 8 year old cat 1 year ago. and it was the best decision Ive made in years. I found her online on lollypop farms web site.I noticed that she had been on there for quite a long time, like 2 months. when I went there to look at her I wasnt impressed because she was hiding at the rear of her cage. but once I was able to see her in one of the rooms there, she changed and brightened right up. and from that moment on. I told her that she will NEVER go back into a cage again! Thankyou lollypop farm.!
