I will say Ive been around and seen a lot of other dog trainers in the 20 years I have been training and working with dogs. Shari and Dan are amazing. They really understand dog psychology and it is honestly very refreshing. I highly recommend them as I know they will help get your dog and your whole family on board and create an incredible foundation. All you have to do is follow through with the tools they gave you and the knowledge your dog will have and you will have great success. Ive seen them work with the dogs and they get it! -

After struggling for two years with our cattle dog Bandits reactivity issues despite trying various trainers and classes, I was at my wits end. We were even asked to leave our last obedience class due to Bandits behavior. However, Canine Case Squad came highly recommended, and I am beyond grateful for the transformation theyve facilitated in him.Bandit, a sweet and loving dog with people, was absolutely terrified of other dogs, making simple activities like hikes, walks, and car rides a nightmare. But after multiple sessions and a two-week stay at Canine Case Squad, Bandit has made remarkable progress. He is now a more confident dog and can be safely introduced to other dogs. He even gets along with a new puppy in the family! Ive been able to bring him to agility sessions with other dogs in class, and although he still has minor outbursts, weve learned the correct way to address them, making training sessions a much more positive experience. One crucial aspect of our experience with Canine Case Squad is the education they provided us. They not only worked with Bandit but also trained us on how to properly deal with the issues we had been responding to incorrectly in the past. This comprehensive approach has been invaluable in Bandits progress.I am immensely pleased with the care and effort put in by Shari and the team at Canine Case Squad. They didnt give up on Bandit and worked tirelessly to understand his issues. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone facing similar challenges.I look forward to continuing our relationship with Canine Case Squad in the future if anything else with Bandit should arise. Thank you for giving Bandit the chance to thrive and for restoring peace and joy to our lives. -

Shari worked wonders with my dog. He was a rescue and had some behavioral issues (fear , aggression, anxiety) that were becoming more of a problem over time. After staying by her for 2 weeks he was a brand new dog and I felt comfortable having him in a lot of situations that he couldn’t be in previously. Would highly recommend -

Bucky is a 17 month old Great Pyr and Blue Tick Coonhound cross. We’ve had him since 3 months of age and have dealt with many issues from his genetics and just him and had used three other trainers before being recommended to Shari and Cindy at Canine Case Squad. I cannot say enough good about them! First, they are honest. They will tell you what you NEED to hear, even if it isn’t what you want to hear. There is no blowing smoke or hidden messages with this facility and I appreciate that! Second, they take the time to listen and get to know your animal. Since they are highly selective, they want to know what the client is experiencing so they can help fix the issues. Third, they communicate. Between e-mails, videos and phone calls, I knew what Bucky was doing and how he was doing. I could see the changes happening with my pet almost every day while he was there! That was reassuring to see and to know that my husband and I made the right decision in choosing to entrust them with our dog. Finally, they provided us with the tools needed to continue what he learned when we picked him up. These were physical “things” like a special noise clicker, but also the information and practice that we needed to continue what they started. I don’t feel dropped and left like I did with other places. I am beyond grateful to have found this place and to have met these trainers! The cost IS worth every penny! -

When you bring home a new puppy – you’re filled with thoughts of carefree experiences like walks in the woods, days at the beach, car rides and hanging with your canine pup at wineries, breweries and festivals. That’s what I envisioned when I brought my 4 month old German Shorthaired Puppy home. I also had visions of her becoming a therapy dog to someday assume my older GSP’s visiting schedule. I immediately enrolled her in a daycare program and attended daily obedience classes with her; all my plans were in full motion until one day my beautiful sweet puppy freaked out at a stranger when I picked her up from daycare. I initially shrugged it off –stranger danger – puppies – it happens she will outgrow it. Unfortunately the fear issue intensified; so much so I could not walk my sweet puppy without episodes of barking and thrashing out at passer-bys. Forget having a friend over to the house or a repairman, it was chaos. I tried working with the current trainer but we were not seeing any results. It was then I knew I needed to contact Canine Case Squad. I had worked with CCS in late 2008 after bringing a rescue dog into my home who was having displaying serious separation anxiety with separation – they provided some useful guidance and I am happy to report 10 years later – my boy is doing great. Now back to my current situation, upon our consultation visit, CCS determined my puppy had developed Dominant Fear Aggression. Scary words and when googled and youtube video – even scarier. But Shari and team and CCS assured me that they felt they could help my girl. First course of action – remove her from daycare which we believe was the source of her issues – we believe something traumatic happened at Daycare. The recommendation was for a 3 week Behavioral modification program and some medical protocol. This behavioral modification program involved my now year old friend spending 3 weeks at CCS facility AS well as training sessions for me – to be a more confident leader. Anyone who has a dog knows how hard it is to be away from them for one day much less 3 weeks but I had to try to give my girl a chance at some normalcy. So I packed her up favorite toy – her food - some treats and lots of tissues (tissues were for me) and handed her over to Shari and the CCS staff. While I was unable to physically visit her for 3 weeks I was thankful for the opportunity to view her on a live feed video cam and also to receive weekly drop box videos. At the conclusion of the 3 weeks I was thrilled to see my girl – but apprehensive that I was capable of keeping her improvement moving forward. It has been 1 solid month since her BMP and I am compelled to report the following recent experience. I was driving to visit family in NC – this involved stopping at rest areas, staying overnight in a hotel and spending a few days at a family member’s house. ALL new experiences for my Dog. Following Shari and Team’s instructions to the “T” – I was floored to see that my girl walked into the hotel lobby without incident – slept on the bed with me without issue and paid no attention to people at the rest areas. When meeting family members and their dogs – we were able to go on a PACK walk within5 minutes of my arrival. My dog who was terrified of strangers – especially men – and aggressive to other dogs – was walking with 3 dogs she had never met and was letting my uncle cuddle with her. We did have a WOOF here or a WOOF there during out stay - but those incidents were quickly resolved by following the correction protocol.I am just so excited to share the milestones made by my girl and look forward to future road trips with her and experiences. -

Our dog Maggie has totally benefited from their services. She is a rescue that has anxiety and other issues, but has come so far in a positive way. We are truly grateful for Canine Squad. She is a wonderful dog and seems so much happier now that we have gotten help for her. -

Shari and team are the best! Our dog Dallas was pushy and always scared. She went to Canine Case Squad and has came back a totally different dog. Her behavior is so much better now. Shari gave us the tools and training to ensure Dallas gets the proper guidance from us and now we know how to correct her behavior so we can enjoy our time with her even more. Ive had a few friends that met our dog before and after the training. Everyone that has met Dallas since her training has said she is a different dog and so much better. Thank you Shari and Dan! -

My dog Riley recently had a 2 week stay at Canine Case Squad due to severe dog reactivity and separation anxiety. I had dealt with it for several years and just accepted thats how he was wired. Walks were stressful and put me on edge for fear of seeing another dog on the street. I decided to bring Riley for an evaluation and I then understood how stressed out he was and I was only nurturing the negative behavior. After his initial training sessions and 2 week stay, I cannot begin to explain the transformation in him. He has become so well balanced and calm, not at all high strung. Shari and the staff at Canine Case Squad have such a gift with helping to rehabilitate dogs and give guidance and training to the owners. With their help, I have become a more structured owner and my dogs pick up on that as well. I am so grateful they were able to rehabilitate my dog Riley and for showing me the tools to being a better owner/pack leader. Were now completing our final training sessions to keep up the progress. I highly recommend Canine Case Squad. -

Canine Case Squad highly recommendedOur dog jumped out of a window one day after we left the house for work. We obviously needed immediate help with her separation anxiety, which developed after the pandemic. We got that help from Canine Case Squad. They worked with us, gave us homework, sent written reminders and instructions, and sent videos of us interacting with our dog in their workspace to show us what we were doing wrong or right. They also corresponded with our veterinarian to help coordinate treatment, medication, and training plans. Be prepared to do the homework (practicing the training exercises at home) and be consistent with your dog, and watch the magic happen. I was able to email CCS with any questions I had in between the in-person sessions, and they would respond immediately. And I had a lot of questions at first about whether we were doing our homework properly.Improvements in our dog’s behavior include:-No more pulling on the leash. We learned how to use a prong collar, and we now can walk the dog without getting pulled all over or hurting our shoulders. She walks quietly and goes to the bathroom when we give her permission (Just don’t forget to give her permission). CCS figured out the right size of collar for us and advised us how to walk her while watching us practice. We never would have gotten past the initial crying and pulling and jumping and nipping that went on during the start of using that collar if they hadn’t been there telling us to keep going and just ignore that behavior. After a surprisingly short time, the dog fell in line. It’s all about the person’s attitude, as trite as that sounds.-Our dog now needs to spend any extended time alone in the house in her crate, instead of having free reign in the house. At first it took a lot to get her in and she would cry, scream, and shake the crate all day. Now we put her right in and she is quiet all day. It may not seem like a lot, but it’s everything when you have to hear that crying.-No more rushing through the door. She sits and waits for permission before going in or out of any door. Even the car.I highly recommend the crew at Canine Case Squad if your dog is suffering from separation anxiety. You have to be willing to hear what you are doing wrong and take instruction, but it is definitely worth it! -

A few months ago we adopted a 3 year old rescue Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Murphy. We raised our canine companions from puppies previously. We did not realize how much baggage a rescue dog can come with. Murphy had a serious aggression problem, towards people and other dogs. We got a recommendation from our veterinarian to take Murphy to Canine Case Squad to correct his aggressive behavior. That was the best advice! Sharis program is excellent! We go to Quarter horse shows often where there are many dogs and people for Murphy to encounter. Before Shari worked with Murphy and us, we had some serious aggressive behavior instances at horse shows and at home. There has been excellent improvement in Murphys behavior with the Canine Case Squad program! We can go out with him and go to horse shows with confidence now. Sharis program taught Murphy together with his pet parents to achieve the necessary behavior result. We highly recommend Canine Case Squad! -

Shari and the staff at Canine Case Squad did an excellent job helping both of my dogs! I was extremely impressed with the knowledge and care Canine Case Squad treated my dogs with. They were very insightful when working with my dogs and equally understanding when explaining our dogs behavior to my wife and myself. I was thoroughly pleased and impressed with my experience. I would highly recommend Canine Case Squad to anyone needing assistance with canine behavioral issues. -

Im blown away by my visit to Canine Case Squad. They had my dog figured out in minutes and helped me develop a plan to correct our issues. They took the time to make sure I understood my dogs body language and when I need to step in and help him. Im so impressed with all of them! I drove 4 hours (one way) for my visit and it was well worth the trip. My only regret is not contacting them sooner! I will not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. -

There are not enough adjectives to describe how phenomenal Shari and the team at Canine Case Squad are at what they do. In February 2018, my husband and I adopted our dog, Pippin. Within a month or two we soon realized that although Pippin was a totally loveable mush to us, he was reactive to strangers and other dogs. He even bit a few of our family members and a former trainer. We were filled with love for our boy but stressed out and unsure of what to do. Thank goodness we found Canine Case Squad! In August 2018 we brought Pippin in for an evaluation. Shari and the team were direct and extremely informative, but also totally put us at ease and made us feel hopeful. Pippin completed a 2 week in house stay in January 2019 and we are so thrilled and impressed at the progress he has made. His progress of course depends on the effort that we make as his parents, but the CCS staff is so wonderful at explaining not only dog but also human behaviors. We’ve never felt embarrassed to ask questions or bring up concerns, and Shari is also always super quick to respond to emails if we have questions outside of our sessions. Pippin is a calmer dog and a better listener, and we are more confident as his parents to take him on long walks and introduce him to strangers. Pippin LOVES all his friends at Canine Case Squad, and so do we! Thank you a million more times for everything!!! :) -

Shari, Liz and Cindy are amazing! They thoroughly evaluated my Ma$ey Grey for her reactivity to determine what type of help she needed, in house or working sessions with me and my husband. We did working sessions and I can honestly say after the first session Ma$ey was like a different dog! Before sessions we couldn’t walk Ma$ey on a leash she was super reactive after being attacked by another dog when she was younger. At the first session Shari showed us how to hold her leash, correct her properly and how to get her to focus on me and this made a world of difference! Each session we had made Ma$ey better and better. The fact that Shari uses other dogs to help with the training is exactly what Ma$ey needed. The ladies at Canine Case Squad taught me and Ma$ey that she can rely on me to control the situation and that she can ignore other dogs and that we can just have a nice calm time together! Thank you to Canine Case Squad for helping make Ma$ey the dog she used to be!!! -

We adopted a older dachshund. Not soon after it became clear he had aggression issues due to what seems to be abuse in his former home. Not wanting to return him, We turned to Canine case squad for help. I am amazed on how they could turn this dog around. With working with us, our dog and a 2 week boot camp our dachshund is unbelievably a changed dog. What amazed me more is how much they love the dogs they work with. It made me feel good dropping him off for 2 weeks knowing he was going to get a lot of care and affection from them. They really were a life saver. -

We rescued a 6 month old pit bull that unfortunately immediately got gravely ill. Due to her illness and need for long term oxygen, Miss Daisys neurological functions were slightly compromised. Miss Daisy developed an extreme case of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder that made both her life and ours chaotic. Daisys OCD would manifest in the form of running from window to window in our house for hours at a time, whining and barking and jump incessantly on new people entering our home.We found the Shari and Dan at the Canine Case Squad by word of mouth. After an extensive training program and their expert diagnosis and guidance they worked with our local vet on prescribing a combination of medications. Not only did Daisy go through training but we did as well. Through there expert guidance and training, Miss Daisy, and more importantly, our family, are well equipped to manage her challenges. If it wasnt for Shari and Dan, we dont know what we would have done. Weve had many dogs throughout the years, Miss Daisy presented challenges we didnt understand. Now, not only is Daisy a very happy girl, she is also a big sister to Finnegan. Both Daisy and Finn have trained at the Canine Case Squad and more importantly, my husband and myself as well. We are all a very happy family.I would recommend Shari and Dan at the Canine Case Squad to anyone looking for expert training from kind, caring and very knowledgeable people. Shari and Dan (and Cindy too) did the impossible...they gave us the tools to manage a wonderful dog. -

Canine Case Squad is amazing. We adopted our dog Maggie about a year and half ago and from the beginning she had severe dog aggression issues. She lunged and growled at every dog she saw no matter how far away they were, making walks and even car rides super difficult. Maggie loved going to her sessions and when it was time for her in house stay for two weeks we were really comfortable and had no reservations about leaving her since she enjoyed going there and loved everyone there so much. They taught us how to handle it if we do pass a dog and made her more comfortable with dogs being around. We were able to take her camping and there was a dog that wandered the campground and she was showed no signs of aggression and actually greeted the dog briefly. She got compliments about how she didn’t bark at the other dog and was so well behaved. We’ve been taking her new places and doing things with her because she’s been doing so much better with dogs being around, she’s super happy being able to go out and enjoy the summer and we weren’t able to do that before Canine Case Squad. -

Our rescue, Tracker, had no confidence and was anxious. We couldnt stand to crate him because he would bang his head. Leaving him out was not an option because he was eating all kinds of things, like silicone pot holders, etc. The puppy we dropped off was nothing like the puppy we picked up, just two weeks later. They taught us how to act so we didnt cause Tracker anxiety issues and helped us become pack leaders. Everyone says he is a different, calm doggy and we owe it all to Canine Case Squad! -

After a few disheartening conversations with a vet who told us our beloved dog may not be a safe fit for our family, we frantically hit the internet looking for ways to keep her. That’s when we found Canine Case Squad and some real hope. Their impressive knowledge of dog behavior, passion for what they do and intuitive gifts are undeniable. Each person who works there is remarkable, dedicated and honest. Our dog Lumi was rescued at 3yrs old and after a few months began exhibiting some problematic behaviors. Aggression towards visitors in the home and resource guarding with our cats. After her two week stay at CCS and follow ups for our human training, we are thrilled to say we can safely have visitors in the home and are much better able to manage and control the guarding! Giving up our Lumi was never an option and we are eternally grateful for everyone at CCS for patiently working with us and our girl to ensure she is the happiest and most secure pup she can be. Thank you all so much for what you do, working with you was the best decision we made! -

There are not enough stars for Canine Case Squad. I had a dog I thought was hopelessly unable to change due to the sad life he had for the first three years. I nicknamed him Tasmanian devil. I was so wrong. After a few training sessions with Shari, Dan and Cindy, I had hope for the first time. He is acting so much better. She is not just training my dog she is also training me. I never knew how important is. I would recommend C.C.S. to any one needing help with their dogs.Very professional. They know exactly what they are doing.I learning more and more about the psychology of my dog. I look forward to each training session. I will be sorry when its over. THEY ARE PHENOMENAL!!!!!! -

The best thing I did was to contact Canine Case Squad and ask for help with our rescue puppy. We adopted Holly at 3 months old, and I enrolled her in a group class held locally (not at CCS). She did not respond to the training in a positive manner. She was easily distracted during class and was a mass of anxiety. She would bite me in class, but I was told it was normal puppy biting because puppies bite and chew everything. We persevered and even joined the second set of classes, but Holly did not progress as I would have expected, and her behavior in class and at home was stressful and exhausting.Holly was always a biter and chewer of anything and everything, but she began to bite me more and more. I even had to go to Urgent Care, and the Dept. of Public Health was contacted because I had a puncture wound. At that point, I knew I had to do something more regarding training Holly if she was to stay with us. In no way did we want to give Holly up for another adoption, but our grandson was terrified of her, and I was clearly the target for Holly wanting to show me she was the dominant female.I was desperate for help, and I googled and read everything. Luckily I came across Canine Case Squad. I brought Holly for an evaluation session that was incredibly informative. Shari and Cindy observed Holly during various situations, and their feedback gave me much more insight into Holly’s behaviors (or lack thereof). Shari and Cindy even got out a bike and rode it up and down the road past Holly because she was very afraid when bicycles would go by us when we walked. The evaluation session was well worth the time spent. By the time I got home, I had received via email, video clips of Holly and a detailed report/analysis of what had been observed. I was so relieved to learn from Shari that Hollys behavior was not as out-of-control and aggressive as I believed. To learn from the observations of such experienced people that Holly and I would be able to work together and get the improvements we both needed was beyond encouraging. I realized how little I knew about canine behavior and canine mentality--what an eye-opener!!It was not an easy task for us, and I remained a target for Hollys biting for a few more months. But, with the confidence I gained from Shari and her team, I did not give up, and I have not purchased band aids in months!! We now have a sweet pup (she is 14 months old now) who has responded positively to what she has been learning, and her behavior has improved dramatically. Holly will cuddle, our grandson loves to play with her, and she is much more relaxed. There are still areas that need improvement, so Holly and I remain works in progress but it is enjoyable work, and we look forward to going back for sessions to help us with fine-tuning desired behaviors.I knew from the evaluation session, I was going to learn how to engage, handle, and feel confident and less afraid with Holly. The best news is after each training session that is exactly what happened! Shari, Lyz, and Cindy are extremely knowledgeable and very patient in their approach to working with Holly (and yes...also me!). Their use of their own canine trainers was fascinating. This was, and remains, the best decision I ever made. I hope that anyone else feeling upset, worried, concerned, or desperate (trust me, I get it) regarding how to train and interact with their dogs will contact Canine Case Squad and reap the benefits. In addition to the quality work with our puppy, the outstanding response to questions and concerns was always prompt and very helpful. I also love Canine Case Squad’s use of social media! -

After 6 long years of our dog Bruce having high stress and anxiety, we took him to canine case squad. All of our concerns and questions are answered, the staff is absolutely lovely. Most of all, we are finally able to walk our dog in public and work to see his confidence grow. Only wish we would have brought him there sooner! Do not hesitate to take your dog here if you are having any doubts or issues with behavior. The best of the absolute best. -

This place is the real deal in regards to training your dog. I adopted my dog from a shelter and she came with some obedience/aggression problems. I had no choice but to seek the assistance of professionals and this place is definitely it in regards to professional dog trainers. They completely evaluated my dog as well as myself and helped us work things out. We are still in the beginning stages of this session but I already see a positive change in my dog and I’m completely grateful!
