    We went today and my son picked out his dog Blue .The owner explained everything and the staff manager BRIAN was fantastic helping us along with another gentleman who was cleaning and caring for the dogs. Itā€™s a nice place to get a new dog or addition. My sister had gotten her dog here and my dog years before I went here . Itā€™s a beautiful place and the dogs are all calm and friendly. I love the owner because sheā€™s experienced and takes time for you. This is one of the best places to get a dog. You go in and the dogs are all well trained and the people who help were fantastic. Dog 3 is definitely where I am going. They are worth the trip and they are excellent customer service. They deserve awards! Pics will come we just got blue today! Great place and great service! Thank you Brian for the call and follow up on our new dog blue!

    Absolutely amazing! The staff is so wonderful and helpful and they guided us in choosing the right puppy for our family. We decided on a wheaten terrier and he is the calmest, sweetest dog ever. The facility is very clean and well taken care of, and they allowed us to come visit and play with our puppy as much as we wanted before he was ready to come home so we could bond with him. They also have an on-site vet and each dog goes home up-to-date on all their vaccines. I am beyond happy to have chosen Sportsman Kennels to give us our new family member. Highly recommend!!!

    We just picked up our beautiful Labrador puppy from Sportsmanā€™s Kennels and we could not be more pleased. This is a top notch facility with a dedicated owner and staff. The dogs are well cared for and loved before they go to their forever homes. We would highly recommend Sportsmanā€™s Kennels to anyone looking for a happy, healthy puppy.

    Got my last Corgi there, he was so amazing, healthy and perfect! He passed last December. I just stopped in today and saw Helen - she is such a wonderful woman .. I love her and fell in love with another Corgi Iā€™m going to go back for! I wouldnā€™t go anywhere else!! Great place.

    When you visit a puppy kennel you expect the smell to be strong. Sportsmans Kennels isnt like any other facility I have visited. Although there were 30 - 40 puppies in the room, the smell was not overwhelming. They keep it clean and pick up the poop quickly. The puppies are clean and well cared for too! Helen was a pleasure to work with! Her love for the puppies is evident in the way she speaks about them and looks at them. It is evident that she is protective of her babies as she watches you play with them in the separate area provided and tests you after having you read through the instructive paperwork. If youre looking for a new FOREVER best friend, Sportsmans Kennel is the place to go!!!

    I got my Rottweiler here, heā€™s almost 9 years old, which is considered ā€œoldā€ for a rottie. He is super healthy, acts like a puppy still. People are shocked at his age and think heā€™s half his age. He has a wonderful personality and when I had my daughter almost 3 years ago, turned into the best ā€œmr. momā€ family dog. I get compliments every time we go out with him. When I purchased him all those years ago, I was able to meet both his parents who seemed happy and healthy. I was able to visit him anytime until he was ready to come home. Didnā€™t seem like anything shady. Was just randomly looking into another one and was surprised by these reviews! Puppy mill or not, I got the best dog Iā€™ve ever had in my life here.

    Very happy and thrilled with our experience at Sportsman Kennels.The facility is very clean, all the pups are happy and healthy, staff is extremely friendly especially Chelsea. She was very informative and straight forward with questions and informations about the pups.This is our second time returning to sportsman kennels. We first got dog here, Hunter. He is a male golden retriever almost two years ago. We were so happy with the experience and figured it was time for a second dog. Therefore, we came back and got our new female German shepherd, Nova, this past weekend.Highly recommend.

    Couldnt be happier with our new yellow lab Innis! Facility was clean, dogs happy and well taken care of. Yes you do need an appointment but it helps the selection and experience if your serious about purchasing.Staff was helpful and knew exactly the right breed age and personality we were looking for. Thank you Helen and staff for all of your help and guidance. Innis is well loved and fit right in to our family.

    The dogs run outside on a huge property all day ! I Highly recommend ! We wanted to take home a new member of the family & knew he or she had to be a hypoallergenic dog bc by husband is very allergic to everything & we found our baby Maggie !!! Sheā€™s a poodle maltose mix & is our world so smart so sweet !!! And gets along with our baby Harley! They are attached at the hip !!!

    We picked up our Mini Long haired Doxie on December 23, 2022. After a little delay bringing her home, Helen made sure she was absolutely perfect before we could take her. Helen puts the well being of her first and foremost. Weā€™ve just love this little girl!

    Brian is the best! My daughter & I came unannounced, however Brian was very cordial and introduced me to many variety of pups. I fell in love with a male blue merle mini schnauzer who had one totally black right front leg. He is now 5 months old and cute as can be. I will be coming back to get another mini schnauzer probably a female. He loves other dogs to play with. I highly recommend Sportsman Kennels. I will be back.

    I returned to sportsmans after getting a bulldog 4 years ago. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, the dogs are very well taken care of. I like that there is plenty of outdoor space for them to run around and play.

    Lovely breeder, allows us to see the dogs / pups available and tells us all the info, nothing to hide and absolutely were lovely about all the little questions I had! Puppy is in great health. Canā€™t say more about this breeder!

    We were very pleased with the selection of our shih tzu puppy. The kennel area where the puppies were housed was very clean and the puppies were happy. Helen and her staff were very helpful and knowledgeable.

    My 18 year old chihuahua passed in Oct 2020. My husband wanted to get me a new puppy. I had looked around but did not click with any puppy. We were with my husbands family at Christmas. His brother recommended Sportsmans Kennels. He had gotten his Dachshund there. So we called them up and went for a drive on the day after Christmas. Due to covid, they bring the puppy out to your car. You get to spend some personal time with the puppy to see if it is a good fit. Of course I fell in LOVE. We took our beautiful Princess Penelope Pickles home with us right then! I also liked that all the Vet records were in a folder for you. AND The kennel called the next week to follow up.     We received our first dog, a Cavachon 15 years ago from Sportsmans Kennels. Maggie Rose recently passed but had lived a good long life. She was such a good girl and we miss her so much! We decided we needed another dog and went back for our second dog. This time we fell for a Bichon. We picked her up last week and named her Halle Rose. She checked out great at the Vet, and so far we are very pleased with our purchase. We have never had anything but good experiences at this Kennel. We highly recommend.

    We are very happy with our new puppy! Helen was very knowledgeable and informative. There was no high pressure. We had all the time we needed to find just the right puppy. I am a firm believer that you dont pick the dog, the dog picks you. The kennel was clean and very well maintained. which was a real plus. All the proper paperwork was in order.

    Brian and his staff are great! They made getting my daughters first puppy a wonderful experience! Everyone was friendly and answered all our questions.     An absolutely fantastic experience. Our Golden Ret. recently passed, and we went to Sportsmans to see if my son could reconnect with another dog. Helen was super accommodating, patient & nice. We looked at some labs (so many awesome dogs to look at) but decided on one that will be able to come with us next moth (still too young right now) Id definitely recommend and cant wait to get the newest member of out family :)

    Our recent experience at Sportsmanā€™s Kennels was very favorable. We had an appointment to view puppies that we were interested in bringing into our family. We were met promptly at our scheduled time. Several pups were brought out into the outdoor enclosure where we were given the opportunity to spend time with them to determine if one would be the right fit. Once we made our decision, our new pup was given a bath while we signed all the paperwork with Helen. Helen was knowledgeable, gave us advice on raising our new family member, and Finn has been a welcome addition to our family!

    Our experience with Sportsmanā€™s Kennel was a wonderful one! The staff was knowledgeable, kind, and patient. Choosing from so many beautiful and healthy puppies wasnā€™t easy, but we are so happy with our little Yorkie, Pippa. This is only her second day home with us, and she is so happy and well adjusted.     We had the best experience at Sportmans Kennels, working with Helen to get our first Rottweiler about 5 years ago. He is still a beautiful, healthy, strong dog with an amazing disposition. Before we were able to take him home, I would go visit often to spend 30-60 mins playing with him and starting to bond and get to know him. Helen never had any issue with this and she and her staff were so friendly and accommodating. Weve had great dogs, rescues and pure bred but our Rottie is the best yet. We are currently working with Helen at Sportsmans once again to get our second Rottweiler from her. The experience has been great once again and I cant wait to bring our 2nd pup home.     The staff was very helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. Any questions or concerns we had they were always there and ready to help when I called. We love our little pug puppy girl! We couldnt be happier. We have her for a week now. They took great care of her until we were able to bring her home. I reccomend Sportsmans to anyone looking for a puppy.

    We could not be any more happier! We bought a chocolate lab baby girl. She has brought so much love into our home. Took her to the vet and sheā€™s perfect with a very sweet personality.Pricing is on the expensive side, and the owner can be A firecracker at times and forgetful. Get everything in writing, pricing, date to pick up your dog as well as deposit before itā€™s charged on your card. Other then that the reward out ways it all.I would completely recommend them and purchase another dog again from them .

Try and run a business on your own (and keep in business) meeting all the legal and state requirements the Vampire (Empire) State has to offer before you complain or sharpshoot anything Sportsmans Kennels does.Be grateful to become a pet parent, and be prepared and responsible for that new member of your family, for rich or for poor, good health and bad. My experience with this provider has been excellent and rewarding.My wife and I added a Black Toy Pug puppy to our family and he has been a gift since the day we brought him home. Yes he got sick initially, (puppys do that when environments or food changes), yes he drove us nuts, and yes there were ups and downs getting him acclimated from kennel to home. All we can do is our best, we prepared some normal vet checks ahead of time and slowly he adjusted well.Sportsmans Kennels did an excellent job in getting him up to date and stable to be able to be adopted.Its our responsibility to give this lil guy the best life we can, and so far, hes been the one that has brought us so much color, life, fun, joy, and enthusiasm!Were grateful for Sportsmans Kennels for our little Bentley, and were looking forward to bringing him home a new playmate (brother) soon.To anyone skeptical of this provider, take the time, get off the phone comparing and comparing and comparing......, and just head out there and check out what they have.     I love this place. I just purchased a pure breed Siberian husky puppy from sportsmans kenneIs. it was the best experience Ive ever had purchasing a pet. the staff were all very friendly and respectful. and very caring towards my pet. he was given a nice bath and right before going home with me. he smelled so good and he was extremely clean. even his nails were trimmed. he is also very healthy with a full detailed vet record. the staff gave him nice toys to take home. I will definitely come back here again in the future. and I have recommended this place to all my friends and family. thank you Helen, Amy, and Susan for giving me such a wonderful experience and finding me the perfect puppy! god bless you always.oh and just a thought: Ive heard some complaints from people saying there puppies were given to them in cardboard boxes to take home with them. the reason for this is because the staff is trying to make sure your pet has a safe ride home in your vehicle. if the box is a problem you can always buy a pet carrier which they do sell at sportsmans kennels.

    We went today to look for a puppy. The staff was kind, knowledgeable and did not rush us. We met three dogs and were given ample time with each. We found one older puppy that seems like the perfect fit. We are looking forward to visiting her again and getting to know her better. I recommend sportsmen kennel !

    Good adaptation for the pandemic. You should have an appointment so you dont have to wait so long. They give you as much time as you need to decide on which pup you may want. No hard sells with pressure from sales people trying to make a commission. It was a fun experience and we love our baby. Hes on a schedule and sleeps all night. And seems almost halfway housebroken. I can tell he had a happy life at Sportsmans Kennels. Def. recommend if youre in the market for a new Furbaby.

    Wonderful experience - great staff, very helpful, friendly and patient with new owners like us. Most of all, our black lab puppy is the most wonderful puppy in the world - we get more compliments on his look, his personality, his demeanor than I ever would have imagined.     The kennel was clean and the puppies all happy...the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Amazed she was fully paper trained when we got her! It was hard to decide but so happy with the new addition to our family, Athena our new havanese puppy. The staff sincerely cares about how the puppies do once they leave for their forever homes.

    I went there two years ago for my Havanese Brando, who I have to say is doing wonderful. He is the best part of my life. The people there were so friendly and my situation was very sad and heartbreaking. I lost my Yorkie after 16 years then two weeks later lost my mother to Alzheimerā€™s, I took care of them both. And now I was alone. I did not have a lot of money, and the Havanese was more then I could afford and I didnā€™t go in wanting that breed, but it was love at first sight. And the owner heard my story and took pity on me and took what I offered . So please donā€™t say that they are about the money. Yes they are a business. But that day when I went in there, they all had nothing but kindness in there hearts. Iā€™ll never forget it. Iā€™m thinking about getting Brando a brother or sister now. Would not go anywhere else. My family all go to them never had a problem with any if there dogs. Best of luck to you all.

    I found Helen to be so informative and helpful.I loved seeing all the puppies. I didnt have an appointment but she took me into see the pups I was interested in, feel in love with this adorable cavopoo.He has been so active healthy and is now enjoying his new home.Smart little guy.Only had him for 3 days .     Couldnt be happier with Sportsmans Kennels. We went there because we could get a great feel of different breeds of dogs and find what fit our home. We found the perfect Goldendoodle. Hes happy, healthy, and has assimilated into our family perfectly. The place was clean, the staff seemed friendly and seemed to really care for the dogs.

    Our experience was excellent..this is our second time purchasing a puppy from them..both times the puppies were in excellent health and beauuuuuutiful. Kendal, a cairn terrier and our first, was purchased 17 years ago and lived to the ripe old age of 16..the staff there at Sportsmen Kennels were very caring and spent a lot of time with us with detailed instructions how to care for our gorgeous baby chihuahua, Martha.     I bought a Bichon from Sportsmanā€™s Kennel in 2003. She has been a faithful companion for 17 years. She is still with us, definitely a ā€œgrand old Dame,ā€ and still enjoying life.     Bought two English bulldogs very cute and so far very healthy. Its hard to keep every client happy Im sure. I read some of these reviews and thought I should add my own. When you buy any dog the chances that it will remain perfectly healthy forever or even a couple of years is a crazy notion. Thats like saying if your child was born with a defect it was the parents fault. You buy a baby and hope that you picked a companion that will be around and have a happy life. They have breed tree to see that the dogs are not in bread . AKC paperwork etc.

    This was a wonderful great Cleanest place around. The people they were very friendly especially Chelsea she helped me out a lot. Iā€™m so happy I found the dog Iā€™ve been searching for for years my beautiful golden retriever and got such a great price . I couldnā€™t travel far and had no idea they were right down the road for me not even five minutes right in Manorville exit 69. They answer all your questions they donā€™t rip you .They have all types of dogs, crates, leashes, dog food, and a veterinarian that comes in and checks out all the animals. I will definitely return and definitely definitely recommend this place this is one of the best places on Long Island . I have a few more people looking for dogs and Iā€™m telling them to go there so thatā€™s where they were going. I want to thank you guys so much. My golden loves it here so much heā€™s such a great family dog . Heā€™s going to be spoiled we all adore him.

    I have purchased 2 dogs from here. My first is my beautiful baby Shih Tzu. She will be 15 May 6th and is just starting to show her age. She is the most precious thing. My other baby is a Shih Poo who is 4. Both dogs are in good health, never chewed anything and well behaved. Just really great dogs.

    My Daughter and husband been wanting a Siberian Husky for a while we called here and they had a girl with big blue eyes we fell in love with her we bought her for my husband Birthday on 7/11 and we picked her up on 7/10/18 he fell in love with her she is such a sweet puppy we named her Nymeria the staff here was so helpful and knowledgeable they answered all questions I asked they cleaned her up and even put a pink bow on her and even gave her a new toy she is doing really well we love her so much! My aunt got a dog from there 6 or 7 years ago and there was nothing wrong with it and its still alive today and we purchased a dapple dachshund there in the summer and it made it to a year old and theres nothing wrong with it. But we dont think its a dachshund bc the dog is really tall and dachshunds arent tall. Hes long like a dachshund but tall like a beagle. And they lied and said hes a miniture but he grew in a month and hes as long as my 9 and 8 year old dachshunds and the dapple is only a year old. And whoever said they kill the dogs if they dont sell them isnt true bc they told us they keep them until they get old unless they were lying. But its a great place to get really rare dogs.

    I purchased my first puppy (blonde hair/blue eyed cocker spaniel) in 2012 as well as my second (jet black smooth mini doxie) puppy June 2022!!! Both times we were looking for very specific color/coat/breedā€¦ The staff was so accommodating in letting my family interact with the puppies and never pressuring us into the sale. They even held onto the doxie for an extra two weeks so we could pick her up after vacation. If I was unsure while training at home they were just a phone call away!!!     My husband and I found this place on Google as we were just planning on looking at dogs/puppies after I my 14 year old Jack Russell passed away a few days prior...we walked in without an appointment and filled out a card, and they took us right in for a tour once they knew we were interested in seeing small dogs..they brought us to the room of all small dogs...all the dogs were alert, happy and played nicely with each other (there were many baby cribs with certain breeds in each crib)...we picked the 1st dog to go in to our little section to play with the puppy etc...the woman helping us, Renee was very helpful and not pushy whatsoever...she gave us our time to talk about what we wanted to do etc...when we found out that the puppy we were considering was out of our ballpark, she took my husband to a different room and all of a sudden my husband comes back with a Shih tzu...we knew he was in our price range and played with him for a bit...again Renne gave us our time and answered a bunch of our questions...well, we landed up taking the Shih tzu home that day and fell in love with him immediately...Rosco (what we named the puppy) was already paper trained and showed that pretty fast upon coming to his fur ever home...we just took Rosco for his first vet visit after having him for 5 days, and the doctor was very impressed on the health of Rosco...thank you Sportsman Kennel for everything...I highly recommend this place...when you hear that the kennel has been around since 1962, it tells you something...
