DHA and Alison were amazing! We had Alison come help Rosie, our 2 year old Bernedoodle (and us) with in the house greetings, recall, and overall listening and calming down when overly excited. We did 3 sessions of in person lessons (she offers virtual as well). Price point is affordable for the gains and successes for what Rosie learned. Alison left us with homework or things to work on in between sessions and set us up for success after our sessions were over. Alison is great- easy to work with, personable, responsive, and sends a recap email after each lesson so you can focus on the work. Also, Rosie LOVED Alison so much she would whimper when she left for the day. Would highly recommend and will use again in the future. Thanks Alison! -

I have had several session now with Alison and my dog. She is absolutely fantastic! During the consultation call, she listened to all of the issues I was having and put together a custom training plan. She discussed the recommended plan with me, and the cost, first giving me time to decide if I wanted to pursue active training with no pressure.I decided to sign up for several in-person sessions with Alison. My dog tends to be shy, but Alison was immediately able to connect with her and put her at ease. She was very knowledgeable and gave me clear and specific things I could do to improve my dogs behavior. She also followed up each session with a summary e-mail detailing everything she showed me so I would have something to refer back to on my own.We mainly worked on leash pulling and not eating food off the sidewalk, and we made progress on both fronts in just a few sessions!Highly recommended! -

Working with Alison has been a delight. I really appreciated the time she took to get to know my dog and understand the root of her leash reactivity. Alison leads with a philosophy of strengthening the partnership between me and my dog and this is evident in the way she designed our training goals/plan. My dog (Ginny) loves her too :) -

Alison is a true puppy whisperer. We were a bit ambitious with getting two puppies at the same time. Although we thought we had a plan going into this new venture, instant chaos immediately tore that plan to shreds. Alison helped us bring so much stability into our home. Her guidance on helping to socialize our pups, getting them comfortable with city life, and learning some cool (but useful) new tricks was invaluable. We will forever be grateful to Alison for helping us set our puppies up for a lifetime of success. -

Alison is awesome to work with! She helped me learn how to walk my pup on a leash - which had been a big issue for us. I saw significant and measurable progress in how my dog walked on leash after a virtual session with Alison, and practicing the exercises she laid out for us. Alison was available and responsive for follow up questions I had, too. She’s a great coach (for both me and the pup!) and teaches with kindness, patience and compassion. I recommend working with her. -

Alison has been working with our puppy for several weeks and we have nothing but good things to say! The change in our puppys behavior is tremendous. We learned a lot from Alison and used the advice she gave us in our joint sessions to reinforce our puppys good behavior and we could really see the results. In addition to her professionalism and knowledge, Alison is great to work with. She is reliable, patient and overall an extremely nice person! We are more than happy to recommend Alison for whoever is in need for a dog trainer! -

I dont know what I would do without Alis guidance and help with my little pup. I started training with Ali when my puppy was a little over three months. I did three training sessions with Ali to learn how to socialize my puppy and train her in various things like basic commands, not jumping on people, and staying calm in public areas. Ali was available for any questions I had and recommended that I send her any videos of my puppys behavior for her feedback. I really think my puppy is the way she is (a calm, well-socialized puppy) because of what I learned from Ali about positive reinforcement. I love Alis approach to training dogs and how she gives you the perspective of what the dog is feeling. I loved working with her and will continue to do so! -

As a mom to a labradoodle and 16 month old human, meal times used to be challenging, until I worked with Alison. She helped me engage Hudson (the dog) in his meal and we have had a week peaceful dinners since. Soooooooo helpful to talk through my own not so productive dog-mom behaviors. I can now eat with my family and play with my kiddo with the dog nearby, but not barking for attention. Alison was clear, supportive and incredibly well informed. -

DHA is great— Alison is a fantastic trainer and has taught us so much about how to communicate with our rescue pup. In particular, we’ve worked on desensitization training for our dog’s phobias and leash training. In just a few weeks we’ve seen so much improvement. Highly recommend. -

Four sessions with Alison completely changed walks with our dog, Walter. Alison helped us identify the warning signs leading up to reactivity and how to reassure our dog and redirect his attention to us. Even after just one session we saw a major difference in how Walter reacted to other dogs, scooters, and other stimuli on walks and how he focused on us. Alison was friendly, supportive, nonjudgmental, and easy to work with every step of the way. She took the time to understand our dog and us as individuals and gave us the tools to continue training and growing even after our sessions ended. We could not recommend Alison enough! -

Alison helped us welcome our new rescue, giving us more confidence in the adjustment period and life with a dog and kids. She listened to the unique situation and gave us easy activities that helped our new dog feel more comfortable and fit in with our family. I saw a change in just a couple days. Thank you, Alison! -

Alison of Dog Human Alliance is a brilliant trainer for me and my three dogs. She is so wise, kind, creative and affirming. She has made a huge difference to the well being of our little tribe by systematically guiding me through solutions for doggie challenges. For instance, I can now vacuum in peace, my dogs are learning not to resource guard and to be patient and cooperative for grooming. Im very grateful for the Dog Human Alliance.Rabbi Julie Greenberg, Philadelphia -
