We can not say enough good things about TRUE-K9!! We have been in contact with Jenavie prior to getting our puppy Leia. Jenavie and her dog Shay share an amazing bond and we feel that it is very important to look into your dog trainers relationship with their own animals prior to selecting a trainer. Jenavie has worked with us since day 1. On top of the in-person home and outdoor sessions we have done, Jenavie is extremely responsive to text messages and encourages us to send video updates of our progress at home. She also answers random health and diet questions that we might have.Leia has worked with Jenavie since she was about 2 months old for basic training with the goal of using an e-collar. Without the help from Jenavie - we would have absolutely no clue where to start. I found Jenavie on Instagram and after watching her videos and reading her posts, I reached out to her because I was so lost with how to help my almost 2 year old Corgi, Joey. Joey developed severe anxiety during the summer and it made our daily life difficult. He would have a full blown panic attack outside, even when there were no specific triggers. He would start to pull and run in the direction of our home, his eyes would turn red and he would visibly look distressed. I worried about leaving him alone when i needed to step out (he’s crate trained but started biting his paws intensely when i would leave), he was scared to go on walks beyond our building, and would shake and tremble if we went anywhere. We’ve done training sessions with a different trainer when he was about one year old for dog reactivity and was mostly based on counter conditioning and positive reinforcement. It helped but once his severe anxiety in the summer started, my husband and I were at a loss with how to help Joey.I’m so thankful we found Jenavie - she’s so kind and patient. She was structured andsweet with Joey, which is definitely what he needed. She taught him how to be a more confident dog and taught us how to better handle his anxiety and work with him throughout the day.Due to the nature of his anxiety, we only did a 3 week board and train but do plan on continuing training sessions with Jenavie in a few months. During the board and train, Jenavie kept us updated on how Joey was doing and answered any questions or concerns we had during that time.Now, we’re able to take Joey to places we never were able to before, like crowded areas in Central Park, outdoor dining, etc.Jenavie has definitely helped Joey (and us) be able to live a more fulfilling life and have the tools to be able to handle his anxiety as best as we can. Would HIGHLY recommend her as a trainer!! She’s the best.

I cant recommend TrueK-9 highly enough! They worked wonders for my 2 year old Goldendoodle, Sophie, who was quite a handful when it came to obedience and leash manners. Sophie used to struggle with pulling on leash, ignoring commands, and overall obedience, which is especially difficult to manage when living in the city.Jenavie, our trainer, took an approach that was not only effective but also compassionate. She took the time to understand Sophies unique personality and tailored the training sessions accordingly throughout the duration of Sophie’s board & train. Thanks to Jenavies expertise and patient guidance, Sophie has transformed into a well-behaved and obedient companion.If youre looking for a dog training service that delivers real results, look no further than TrueK-9. TRUEK-9 has truly helped my 2-year-old reactive Aussie. We did the 3-week training. He is able to be in larger group settings without barking or growling. He learned leash and walking manners so quickly. The continued support even after our program has been great. Could not recommend enough.

My husband and I had reached out to Jenavie after someone recommended her to us, and we are so happy that we decided to work with her! Unfortunately our dog, Athena, had severe leash reactivity to other dogs because of previous experiences of unleashed dogs rushing her when she was on leash. Due to that, she had become very fearful when seeing other dogs that she did not know. It was so difficult to take her anywhere because of her fear and reactivity. With Jenavies help, Athena has become a whole new dog! Athena is able to be around dogs without so much anxiety and fear, she is able to loose leash walk, she has way better recall, she is much more engaged with us, and so on! We have been able to take her out in public so much more, and she is so happy, confident, and she is absolutely thriving! Jenavie gave us the tools and opportunity to be able to give our dog the life she truly deserves to live without fear. Jenavie has been so professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and she was always willing to answer any questions that we had. Were so appreciative of how patient and greatshe has been to all of us throughout this process especially with our anxiety surrounding taking our dog in public with other dogs. Were so grateful to have met her and to have her continued support. Its been truly a pleasure working with her and her dog, Shay. We truly cannot recommend Jenavie enough!

I was reluctant in the beginning thinking that not much change was needed with my daily routine with my shepherd but after doing the training with TrueK-9 I’ve seen the great transformation of my dogs behavior in public. Moving forward with this training was really beneficial to my daily schedule and also helping make more memories with my dog as he can enjoy the outdoors off leash more often!
