They’re so great! My doodle can get pretty matted, but he always comes back fresh, clean, and looking super cute. I prefer them to other groomers I’ve used on the UWS because the style of cut they do and the friendly, accommodating nature of the staff.

My dog is 14 years old and HATES the groomers. But here, they are so good with him and calm him down. He still isn’t happy, but this is the only place he’s been in 14 years where he isn’t totally miserable. For me, that’s five stars!

This groomer is so wonderful. They take great care of the animals and are very gentle with them. They always call to make sure any change to expected cut is ok (my pup needed a shorter haircut due to some mats) and always make their best effort to get you an appointment as soon as they can. Could not recommend them more!

This place is the best. My Louis goes here regularly. They always are quick and efficient. He’s a 120 malamute w two coats and they crush it every time it comes time to shed. Thank you to everyone there.

Ive been taking my miniature dachshund for grooming at Bark Avenue for awhile now and have been happy with the service. Staff is always friendly and takes the time to understand how I want him groomed. A bit expensive but more reasonable compared to other pet groomers in the neighborhood.

This service here is second to none! So much so, we travel from Harlem to Bark Ave Grooming on 83rd st. Our groomer Carol meets our dog at the door and is greeted with the happiest little wagging tail. Shes a wizard at getting your dog to trust her and allow her to bathe and groom your dog. A true testament to the type of groomers employed @ Bark Ave. Carol and the team are professional and will leave your dog shiny, happy and smelling fresh! Weve been using them for 6+ years and would continue to do if we werent moving this May. Its my hope to find someone as loving and caring to our baby as Carol and to find such a professional establishment in our new home.IF you love your fur baby as we and IF you care about their well being while being groomed, you can do no better than Bark Avenue Grooming.On behalf of my wife and Mo, we thank you for years of keeping our pup looking fresh and happy and wish you nothing but success in the future!

This place is so cute. It was extremely clean and the groomer was very pleasant. I had a ton of questions as my dog is very old and has seizures, and she really knew her stuff. The best part is the mom and pop boutique feel as opposed to the more corporate places you see all over this neighborhood. I felt the care was more personal and very professional. They have a small daycare room with beds for your dog to wait in for pick up if you prefer no cages which is amazing. I will definitely be returning to bark avenue.

Lisa , Carol and the team at Bark Ave grooming are so wonderful and caring . My 50 lb Labradoodle Chloe, always looks so good when she returns and she gets very matted. They do a great job and listen to our needs of non allergenic shampoo . Also it’s not a factory , although they are always busy and you need to book in advance . Thank you Lisa and team . So grateful to have found you . Chloe is coming to you now close to 3 years

What a terrific place.I was in a real pinch. I was watching my daughters Shiba Inu. I walked him and he had rolled in dog poop in the park. I could not get the smell washed off at home, and he hated and resisted me putting him in the bathtub. It was a nightmare.I called Bark Avenue and asked for a last-minute appointment. The woman on the phone was sweet and understanding, and so kind to say yes, bring him over this afternoon. She would squeeze him in even though she was busy because she understood how upset I was that he smelled and was a mess.Wow!! He came home gorgeous. His hair was clean and shiny, smelled wonderful with nails trimmed and combed out all his shedding hair.They went above and beyond just a simple shampooing. I’m so grateful the exceptional service.

My labradoodle gets very matted and I’ve been using Bark Avenue Grooming for the last 2 years . Lisa and her staff take such good gentle care with Chloe and she looks beautiful whenever she leaves there. They are also very responsive , caring and listen to your needs . It’s not a factory and the prices are reasonable for the quality work they do. I would recommend Bark Avenue anytime .The best on the UWS!

I just used this groomer the other day and she was wonderful! My dog is a shitzu poodle mix and his haircut was exactly what I wanted and had described to the groomer. If you want a groomer who listens to your instructions and gives a great haircut then this place is for you.

This place just opened up 2 blocks from my apartment and its so professional, nothing like the last big chain place i would go to. I have a tough dog and he came out so perfect. The owner is great, personable and my Dog took right to her. I would recommend this place to everyone.

The staff was very nice and accommodating. The only reason for the 4 stars is because I didn’t love the grooming. There’s no issues with quality. It just wasn’t what I asked for and not really my preference on style of cut. Otherwise good experience.

Great groomer, the pups came back smelling SO good! My only complain was that they could have remove more ‘tears’ under the eyes of my baby boy. They also have a discount for new customers and one for paying cash (after your first visit discount only).
