Leaving our puppy at daycare with Stephanie and Sonny is the best decision we ever made. We love the small intimate atmosphere, and like that it is a smaller group for our puppy to play with. We had tried to leave him at daycare at other places with many more dogs and could tell that he was not happy.With Stephanie, our puppy had a small group of puppy pals that he plays with everyday and we can see how happy he is when is at home. He is much calmer, well behaved and social-able with other dogs.Stephanie has also groomed our puppy as well, and he always looks like a million bucks! Perfectly groomed, smells good and I can tell that Stephanie gives a lot of focus and attention to making him feel comfortable!We will definitely keep going to Stephanie for years to come!

As first time dog owners, finding a place to send our new pup during the day was stressful. Stephanie welcomed us with open arms and helped us transition seamlessly. She comes with a wealth of knowledge that really calmed us as new dog owners and sends us email updates and pictures throughout the day of our pup. We can tell she loves our baby as much as we do and we couldn’t be happier.

I cannot say enough good things about Stephanie and Sonny! I have been taking my French Bulldog puppy here and they have taught him (and ME) so much in such a short time! Stephanie truly cares about each and every pup in her facility. I appreciate her and Sonnys patience with my puppy. If youre looking for an awesome daycare, look no further.Bonus points: they even teach your pup tricks! Archie already learned touch & high five! :) and they send lots of pictures and videos!!

Stephanie is a master groomer and is so knowledgeable about the proper way to groom a particular breed of dog. Sonny is so caring with Gracie that as soon as she sees him she cant wait to get inside. I have always been uneasy in the past leaving my dog with other groomers. But I have complete confidence that Gracie will not only be well-taken care of, but she will come out looking great. And she does!

Stephanie and Sonny are truly the best! My shy Cavalier King Charles puppy was nervous around other dogs after a few bad experiences; however, with continued playcare romps at Stephanies, he has truly blossomed! Stephanie took her time to hear about my pups background, observe his mannerisms and provided feedback to us daily via email and in person. Her pooches are all well trained, well cared for, and calm which has made the transition to daycare and socialization easier for our little guy. On top of that, he gets a personalized walk twice a day, his own water, and high quality treats. Its amazing to watch his transformation - he now pulls us to get to Stephanies and walks in the door without looking back. Thank you for helping us Stephanie and Sonny!

Where do I begin! I happen to live across the street but actually first interacted with Stephanie over the phone. A dog walker I had used was seen dragging my poor little frightful pup by a neighbor and immediately alerted me while at work. Im an ICU RN and couldnt leave work. I was frantic. My mother (who is out of town) actually first reached out to Stephanie and was amazed at her professionalism and willingness to get my puppy in as soon as possible. Before I knew it, I had the application sent to me and I was talking to Stephanie on the phone. She instantly calmed me down and I realized I was at the right daycare. My puppy was extremely anxious (had worms and digestive issues when I first brought her home so her socialization was delayed in those first crucial months). After the first trial day, Stephanie gave me a very thorough evaluation of my pup and gave her a full 4 days to continue to evaluate and then a typed, even more thorough evaluation of what she will need coming up. Long story short, my now 7 month old puppy is one of the MOST playful pups at daycare and has even made some best friends!!! Stephanie has also started grooming her and has her on a schedule to desensitize her to the whole process and she is phenomenal at it. I dont know what I would have done without Stephanie, Sonny and Kevin. My schedule can be erratic and very long hours and I NEVER have to worry about my little girl. AMAZING doesnt even come close to how I would describe this team!! Thank you all!!!

We brought our 9 month old mini Goldendoodle Latke to Finishing Touches, and we were so happy with our experience! Latke looks like a princess, this is by far the best haircut shes had. Stephanie was so thorough providing details before, during, and after the grooming, and gave me some very helpful tips and insights for taking care of Latkes coat at home. You can tell Stephanie and Sonny truly value and take great care of all their clients. High recommend them!

Stephanie and Sonny provide better dog care than we ever could have imagined — they run an amazing small business, and provide so much value, and we feel soooo lucky that we found them.They are incredibly attentive, communicative, organized, and go above and beyond to make sure that each dog in their care is not only safe - but having a fabulous time.Our pug has some separation anxiety and has historically hated daycares but he LOVES going to Stephanie’s and runs right in. He has made many nice doggy friends (he has his favorite pals. Shout out to Benji, Gus, and Chicken Nugget), gets taken on private potty walks every day (no going inside on fake grass/fake fire hydrant), and I receive fun and hilarious email updates letting me know what he has been up to and who in the “pack” he’s been hanging out with.Initially, we felt nervous and even guilty sending our dog to a daycare, but we knew we had to do it to accommodate our work schedules. Now, we think of Stephanie’s daycare as the best possible enrichment for our dog.Finishing Touches is the best of the best and has my highest recommendation. I have full faith that their grooming services are top notch too, even though we have never used them as our dog has a short coat. The dogs in the “salon” seem very calm and content when I see them during drop off.

The groomer I was going to for 20 years retired and I was super nervous about finding a new groomer. My Vet recommended “Finishing Touches.” Stephanie and Sonny were very welcoming and could not be nicer. They really care about our dogs and our shih tzus have never looked cuter! Stephanie and Sonny are super accommodating about drop-off times and pick-up times. I never have to worry about making appointments because Stephanie and Sonny always save us appointments. I highly recommend Finishing Touches by Stephanie!

After doing extensive research online, my partner and I came across the facility because of the many great reviews and it was right down our block. From there, we decided to give this place a try since we wanted our 5-month-old puppy to learn how to socialize with other dogs in the neighborhood in the safest way possible while we are at work.Fast forward 10-months later, we are proud to say that Finishing Touches has greatly exceeded our expectations! The facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained, reflecting their dedication to providing a secure and comfortable environment for our dog. We really do appreciate the attention to detail they put into maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety. One other thing we love is the maximum number of dogs allowed per day which creates a more personal touch for our baby and limits the exposure to other dogs who may not be as healthy.Additionally, the regular updates and responsive communication we receive from Stephanie and Sonny throughout the day provides us with a peace of mind. Its heartwarming to see our dogs joy through the photos and messages they share with us, reinforcing our trust in them. Their facility truly does set them apart from all other neighboring dog care facilities.We are so lucky to have found Finishing Touches, and our trust in them is unwavering. Highly recommended!

Stephie and Sonny are both friendly, professional and overall fantastic! My dog has been going to day care and been groomed by them for over a year. My dog is clearly excited to join them each day, very happy when picked up and looks great after grooming. The team will share updates during each day, especially in the early stages of day care to let you know your dog is happy and doing great at day care. All the updates, including photos and videos, put me at ease to know my dog is happy. They’re the best!

Parker my pup LOVES doggy daycare here! I can’t walk by without him trying to run inside. Stephanie and Sonny are great at keeping me in the loop, sending pictures throughout the day, and updates at the end of the day. We have been to other daycares around the city and love that here the dogs actually get to do their business outside (2 walks a day). Others just let the dogs go inside and it didn’t help with potty training. Grooming: parker has had some rough haircuts in the past, but can say that every haircut he has gotten from Steph and Sonny’s has been 10/10.

We are so glad we found Stephanie and Sonny to take care of our baby Gus. He is a mini dachshund puppy and every bit rambunctious and stubborn as the breeds reputation! We were worried sending him to daycare because we heard that many puppies pick up bad habits. He has been going now for 4 months and we can say that he is probably better behaved because he goes to daycare! The center is small and intimate and the dogs are watched very closely.Gus loves his daycare pack. Whenever we turn the corner he runs to the door excited for the day ahead! He comes home tired, happy, and cuddly. My husband and I love getting emails from Gus with photos and videos of all the fun he is having.Highly recommend.

We have been bringing our two dogs to Stephanie for well over two years.... She and Sonny are beyond excellent, provide incredible care and genuinely go above and beyond for each dog as if it was their own. I have experienced recently while traveling, Lola had an infection and Stephanie was great. She kept me informed at all times, sent pictures and was extremely attentive to Lolas needs. Both dogs love coming here and its obvious Stephanie loves having them!! I would definitely say of all the places I have used for daycare/boarding, this is by far the best!!

I have been taking my 5 month old puppy here regularly for daycare for almost the past month. I cannot say enough positive words about this place. He has the most amazing time! He runs in as soon as we get near the door because he cant wait to play with the other dogs! The play area is always kept very clean and all of the dogs have always been well behaved and playing nicely with each other when I go inside.My pup has also had a few grooming sessions already and looks amazing and smells so clean every time.Stephanie has gone out of her way on many occasions to offer tips and advice on training and other puppy matters. You can tell that she cares so much about animals. It is also obvious that Stephanie and Sonny are very kind and loving with the animals because Im sure my little guy would not be running in with excitement to the place he gets groomed if they were not gentle and kind. I can also tell that since he started going to daycare here, he is better behaved at home and is eating and sleeping so well.

This is THE place to take your pup to for daycare. Benson has only been going for about two months, but youd think he was going for years! He RUNS down the street to daycare and as soon as hes let in he doesnt look back. Stephanie, Sonny & the whole team have been amazing to work with - sharing updates on him during the day via email, video & pictures. He was a bit anxious at first, but quickly adapted thanks to the team at Finishing Touches. I wish I had started taking him sooner, but am so glad hes made friends with the other dogs and enjoys being away during the day. If you are in the area and have a dog, I highly recommend taking them here!

Absolutely wonderful experience at Finishing Touches! We started bringing our 6 month old puppy here after interviewing and visiting several other doggy day cares in the area. Finishing Touches was clean and it was clear from day one that Stephanie and Sonny care about their dogs as if they are their own! We loved that only a limited number of dogs were allowed per day to prevent over crowding! Also the fact that 2 walks are included in the daily sessions was incredible (!!!), especially for a puppy being potty trained. My husband and I also love our daily emails with photos and videos of our puppy, which truly brightens up our work day to see our puppy having the best time. Our puppy loves coming to Finishing Touches and sprints for their store whenever we turn onto their block! So grateful for their services and care for our dog! Thank you Sonny and Stephanie!

I was recommended to Stephanie by my vet who told me that Stephanie was one of the few groomers to whom the dogs don’t mind going. It was the best recommendation that I have received for my one year old Coton! Not only did Stephanie do an excellent job grooming my puppy Posie, but we liked her so much that we started to bring Posie there 3 times per week for doggie daycare. It is a small facility but Stephanie and her colleague Sonny are so wonderful with the dogs. They are hands on and caring and also have helped tremendously with Posie’s training. I am so grateful to Stephanie for taking such good care of Posie and caring for her as if she were her own puppy!

I am so grateful to have my Teddy at Finishing Touches by Stephanie for day care. Not only can Teddy not get there fast enough but he gets so excited to see Stephie, Sonny and all his furry friends. Every day I hear about a new friend Teddy has made and it makes me so happy knowing I have somewhere clean, safe and FUN to bring him. Teddy immediately made this his little home away from home and loves to hang out with a small group of dogs during the day. Plus he comes home exhausted and ready for a snooze. When I moved back to NY I needed to find a place where I could leave my two dogs and know that they would be well taken care of.I went to seven places and the only option was one - Finishing Touches By Stephanie.Stephanie and Sonny were and are a a God send. They take outstanding care of my dogs.Stephanie stays on top of their vet needs and reminds me when I need to take them.I have been boarding with Stephanie for over three years.Sadly, I lost my little Yorkie who was 15 years and 10 months old. He had cancer and the vet I went to in FL told me he was not in good shape.I took my little Joey to a vet that Stephanie recommended. Joey still had over 3 years and was fine up to the very end. Stephanie takes care of my dogs with love and caring.Whatever she says goes. She was very strict with me when it came to my dogs meds and diet.Since I travel so much, Stephanie will send me texts with their photos and videos.Losing Joey was more than heart breaking.I was shredded and I was ridden with anxiety attacks. Stephanie listened to me and put everything into perspective. I still have my littleChiuaua and she loves going to Stephanie’s.As soon as she hears the Word Stephanie sheRuns around in circles and gets so excited thatIt is a challenge to get her harness on.I would never leave my dog with anyone besides Stephanie. Not even my friends.I Bless her every time I pick up my dog.Everything at Stephanie’s is immaculate and the same dogs are always there for day care and boarding. My dog has been going to Finishing Touches for 2 years. Originally he went only for grooming, but since July he has been going to daycare twice a week. Stephanie has done a fantastic job of grooming him since day one, but the real added bonus has been the daycare. Sammy has gone from reluctantly entering the shop to bounding in, excited for his day of play. The change in his demeanor is evident in everything, including his encounters with large dogs on the street - a problem in the past. After a day with Stephanie and Sonny, he always returns home with a huge smile on his face!

Ive trusted Stephanie for several years with two of my dogs, for grooming, day care, and boarding. She was first recommended by my vet. Stephanie is extremely conscientious, detailed-oriented, and very knowledgable about dogs -- on everything from behavior to food habits. The best part is I never worry about my much-loved pets when they are with her (my poodle cant wait to get there!) so I cant imagine taking my dogs anywhere else.

I recently brought my five month old Bichon puppy- Hudson- in to be groomed here for the first time. I am so over the moon happy with the level of talent Stephanie has in grooming! Hudson looks amazing- and honestly I cant even imagine anyone else doing a better job anywhere else in the world. Its amazing that this business is two blocks from where I live. I also love that Im given great advice every time I go, and that they really care about the health of the dogs they groom. A definite recommend!

Stephanie is absolutely wonderful - caring & professional. She took the time to walk me through what she was going to do with my Pekingese and put my mind at ease about leaving my baby with her. My dog has never had a better grooming, and Ive tried several locations in the city. A couple weeks later, and it is growing out so nicely. The best part is that she recommended we drop in sometimes on our walks so that she can give my dog a treat and make him feel more comfortable for the next time he goes back. Now we cant walk by without him wanting to run in and say hi! Im so happy to have a found a groomer that cares as much about the well being of my dog as I do. Also, her pricing is equal to if not less than everywhere else Ive tried which is great considering the amount of personalized care she gives.

Run, dont walk, and bring your dog to Finishing Touches for doggy day care, boarding and grooming!! I recently adopted a young Shih Tzu from the Humane Society and she has pretty severe separation anxiety. When I called Stephanie she spent a very long time on the phone discussing my dogs training and gave me such useful information from her many years of being in the business. You will not find more caring, meticulous, intelligent and kind people than Stephanie and Sonny. They are so knowledgable and generous with their thoughts and concern. The place is squeaky clean and Stephanie is incredibly organized and a serious detail freak. (I appreciate that as I am one, too!) They seem to know everything about the dogs that come there and have long relationships with most of them. I feel the care and supervision is so far superior to any other place I have used or researched. They are very strict about choosing appropriate dogs for playcare, so dont be put off by the process. It is for the good of all the dogs that go there and you will have complete peace of mind leaving yours there knowing that the dogs are all healthy and well behaved. There are many other places around that just seem to want to increase their headcount. Maisy has a fabulous haircut and I know that everything was done properly. My dog is happy, content and exhausted when she comes home...just what I want for her!! I dont know what I would do without them!! Thank you for everything, Stephanie and Sonny!! I would give 10 stars if I could!

Finishing Touches has been a trusted, much loved, and very important part of our pack for several years now. My pug, Daisy, who very recently passed, went there for grooming and for daycare.She loved it there. God forbid wed walk by on a non-daycare day. Shes sit right down in front of the door expecting to go in!Id also board her with Stephanie - knowing that my little girl was having a fabulous vacation of her own while I was away.Over the years, I knew I could have Daisy stay there with complete trust and faith. Also, I found Stephanie to be a well of knowledge and often sought out her advice. This came in very handy over the last few weeks.Losing Daisy is still very new and painful - will be painful for a long time. But I take comfort whenever I walk by the store. Daisy was cared for and loved there. I feel better knowing that she got to go there a couple times a week and have the time of her life.

Our dog Hank came here for day care, boarding, and grooming for 3+ years - and I am only using the past tense because we recently moved out of NYC. Stephanie and Sonny always took great care of Hank - and Hank was always happy to go! We just hope we can find Hank a day care and grooming provider who is as good in our new city.

I started bringing my puppy to day care with Stephanie and Sonny when he was just 5 months and it changed my life! He is now 7 months old. Before that my entire life revolved around his very needy schedule. It is such a relief to have a safe place for him to enjoy the day safely burning off steam while I work and even get a workout in (guilt free) before picking him up at the end of the day. Ever since his first visit he began dragging me in that direction when out for a walk anywhere in the vicinity so he obviously loves it there. He is always eager to go and is a relaxed puppy when he gets home. It is a small boutique day care so the small dogs get a lot of attention, including potty breaks and lunch (if necessary and arranged in advance). Nothing but great things to say about Finishing Touches by Stephanie.

Stephanie and her team ROCKS! Words can not describe how amazing it has been for Chiu to be groomed by Stephanie. She really took the time to get to know our dog, Chiu and its a truly special and personalized service. She has been wonderfully helpful and patient with Chius particular needs. Previously, we had used a reputable and highly recommended groomer who seemed fine. However, Chiu made it clear he was happiest when he could be groomed by Stephanie. Chiu is clearly being treated well and has a genuine bond with Stephanie and Sonny. Thank you all at Finishing Touches for all the amazing work yall have done!

We recently had a baby girl and were very nervous about how our 2 year old english bulldog --Winston--would react to her. To say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement. Winston has been going to Finishing Touches since he was about 6 months old and they have done an amazing job training him - its such a relief, as he is so gentle with our daughter and listens to our commands - it has been incredible. Winston is so well trained that he knows to only play with his toys and not touch the babys toys. He is very gentle around her and very protective when he hears noise at the door. We cannot thank Stephanie and her team enough for the amazing care and training they have done with Winston!

As my chis got older they developed health issues and were still groomed in a caring and professional way. Now that both dogs are gone my rescue Bichon Frise goes there. She loves it and so do I. Stephanie and Sonny are just wonderful and very caring. My dog is a rescue and Stephanie and Sonny take such good care of him. He always looks spiffy and proud after each grooming. I immediately got at ease with Stephanie because she is very detailed and specific, and clearly knowledgeable about dogs. She has been godsend. She walked me through the paperwork she needed before bringing my dog in, and I appreciate that she wont take non vaccinated dogs or not having the paperwork signed by the vet. She was upfront about cost and that depending on his coats condition she clearly stated there could be additional charges. She is trustworthy and dependable. And she is the only groomer who actually cleans his teeth! She does a fantastic job. His ears and paw pads have never been cleaner. On his first visit Stephanie told me that something was going on with his pads, that there an unusual smell and she had to clear fungus. I can attest to this because his previous groomers didnt clean them deep enough. When I drop him off she gives me an approximate time frame when to pick him up and calls 30min before hes ready. I started taking my mini goldendoodle puppy at 6 months to Stephanie and Sonny and what a positive change I have already seen in him! He use to be VERY shy and fearful of other dogs. I honestly wasnt sure if or how I was ever going to break him out of his shell. He has gained so much confidence in the short amount of time he has been under their care, its absolutely incredible and reassuring that he is in good hands. Stephanie and Sonny are very attentive and give me detailed updates, I look forward to the videos and photos they share with me through out the day. I can clearly see my pup is having a good time and so happy I dont have to worry about him while Im at work. I highly recommend this place if you want your dog to have great socialization skills and to be well taken care of. Here is footage of dropping my pup off at day care, as you can see he is clearly excited to go and play with all his pals :)

What can be said that hasnt already been said? Simply put, Finishing Touches is a life saver. Without any doubt, Stephanie and Sonny are amazing people. They were recommended to us by an acquaintance in our building. First, the daycare facility is meticulously kept, very clean and well organized. Second, dog walks are included in the monthly packages to ensure that your pet is well exercised during the day. For my part, this was really important for my puppy since I didnt want her playing for 2 minutes and then napping the entire day. BUT, the singular distinguishing characteristic is how much they care about the dogs. They are critical about which dogs will well integrate with the others. Stephanie goes out of her way to always answer my concerns when my little pup is under the weather and to give great pointers in her obedience training. What it really boils down to is the high level of trust that everyone at Finishing Touches imparts on the owners and the dogs. It makes being away from them actually feel like a treat...like the dogs are in camp. So, if your little loved one does pass their muster, there is no better place in the city for daycare and grooming.

Stephie and Sonny are amazing attentive groomers offering a variety of services. I entrusted the pup with their care and despite terriers being notorious for disliking spa days, the pup did not want to leave. All communication was prompt, thorough and professional. I am lucky that the Salon is nearby as I wouldnt take the pup anywhere else.

New to the neighborhood and fellow dog owner in our new building recommended daycare and grooming with Stephanie. My two cockapoos had the best haircuts of their 11 year old lives and they totally enjoy their time at doggie daycare. Its a relief to have such a friendly and helpful spot for my boys!
