We are SO HAPPY with Harlem Doggie Day Spa!! It was our first visit today and they were very patient and kind. Alexis really took her time with our dog and even made a brush recommendation at the end of her groom. The icing on the cake was the cute bandana that had her name on it! Such a sweet touch. I highly highly recommend them and cant wait for our next visit!

HDDS is a wonderful resource for dog owners here in the city. We needed to find daycare for our eight-month-old pup after being called back into working in the office. We enrolled Reese after speaking with the staff and taking a look at the facilities.We needed someone to watch him during the day, obviously, but what we were not aware of is how important socialization would be for him. He was a well behaved dog before, if a little rambunctuous, but for him to have the chance to hang out all day long with all types of dogs and get good exercise while doing so has paid huge dividends.The dogs play in an outdoor back area and are given balls, tug ropes, and enjoy the summer, they even have pool parties!The staff is uniformly wonderful – kind, helpful, efficient— and they all really love dogs.One time when we were going to board him overnight, they told us that a vaccination was expiring and he would not be able to board until we got that filled. HDDS was able to take him to a local vet and get that vaccine filled for us and then board him. So they are proactive as well.They are also able to pick him up and transport him home on days other plans get in the way.This is really a top-notch operation run by really good people. Reese loves them and we do too.

Took my yorkie puppy to be groomed for the first time. The dog father took his time and made sure that my dog was comfortable and calm. He did an amazing job. He was professional. He is amazing at what he does…this is a wonderful business for the community. The staff was friendly and professional, and the prices are reasonable. I will definitely continue getting my dog groomed there.

I’ve been bringing my dog here for years on and off and it’s literally my favorite grooming/daycare place! The times I didn’t take my dog there, it was because I moved and was too far to bring him in, but now that I’m back in the neighborhood, I won’t be going elsewhere. The owner and staff are always so friendly and I can tell they truly care about providing the best services. My dog Comet is always happy to be there :)

I cant recommend Harlem Doggie Day Spa enough! They always do an amazing job with my dog, and you can tell they truly care about pets. The grooming is top-notch, and my dog always looks and feels great afterward. The staff is friendly, professional, and so attentive to my dogs needs. As a first-time pet owner and being Lunas first grooming experience, I was nervous, but Harlem Doggie Day Spa came recommended by a friend. Im so happy they pointed me in this direction. From the front desk to the groomer, HDDS was so welcoming! Alexis made sure to ask what I was looking for, what expectations to have as this was the first grooming experience, and that Luna was comfortable before I left her in their care. They even gave her a customized bandana with her name, which was a nice touch! Already booked my next appointment.

Today was Zoey’s first time at the groomer, and I’m so happy I chose Harlem Doggie Day Spa for her first experience. As a first-time dog owner, I didn’t really know what to expect. It was her first time being around other people without me being there, so I was a little hesitant. However, the moment I walked in, the energy was so warm and welcoming. Zoey was lucky enough to be groomed by the Dog Father himself, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I haven’t stopped smelling her since I picked her up! What truly sealed the deal was when I saw the cutest bandana they put on her, customized with her name. The staff was incredibly helpful with booking her next appointment, and the price was very reasonable. I’m definitely considering their daycare services as well. I’m so excited for all the future visits and experiences we’ll have here!

Harlem Doggie Day Spa is the best! I have brought my dog Aldo to HDDS for boarding several times over the past year and he always comes home tired and happy. I love getting a daily update with an individual write up on how Aldo is doing along with tons of pictures and videos. The HDDS staff goes above and beyond to make the dogs feel at home- over Thanksgiving they gave every pup a special lunch of turkey and sweet potatoes. It made me feel less guilty about having to leave Aldo over the holiday because I know they were taking great care of him. Thank you for everything!Updating 7/31/24 just to add some more love! Have continued sending Aldo to HDDS for boarding and am always so happy to see how much fun he is having. Everyone who works at HDDS is so kind, always greets Aldo by name, and makes me feel like they care for him just as much as I do. We impulse decided to add a bath on to the end of his most recent stay and so glad we did! He smells amazing, his coat is so soft and shiny, and the custom bandana they sent Aldo home wearing was the cherry on top. We love HDDS!

Harlem Doggie Day Spa is great! My dog and I both had wonderful experiences. She got a full spa day in a timely fashion (all in all I think she was there for two hours), and I felt comfortable knowing the staff were going above and beyond to make sure she was safe and happy. Plus when I picked her up, they had gifted her a bandana with her name on it! Would absolutely recommend, and cant wait to take Myrtle back for another groom!

We had an amazing experience at Harlem Doggie Day Spa. From our reception with Natasha, Alexis, and Tanisia to the Big Man, Brian himself.The groomer, Jessica performed an excellent 1st time puppy grooming for Chatham. We couldnt be anymore thrilled. For reference, we dropped him off at his 11:30am appointment, and he was ready by 3pm. We were told he needed a few breaks in between.This will definitely be Chathams go-to place, as it has exceeded our expectations!

They took excellent care of my pup and sent me a report card and lots of photos of her experience during the day. It’s clear they care deeply for our furry family and I would highly recommend. Previous to this experience, my dog boarding experiences have been quite abysmal, and borderline neglect, however the dog lovers here treated my dog with lots of love, care, and attention and was obvious from her adoration for the workers there when I picked her up.

My boyfriend took our dog here to get groomed. The front desk was so nice and I was able to meet the groomer, also very nice. She asked me if I had any questions or concerned before dropping off our son. Very reassuring. The only reason I don’t give it a full 5 stars is because of the wait time. I wish the wait time was communicated before booking the appointment just to plan better on our end. However, it wasn’t the end of the world and the front desk did a good job at answering our phone calls when we were checking in and confirming when our boy was actually ready.

Incredibly happy with Kiba’s results! He is a 5 year old, 50 lbs, Siberian Husky/German Shepard mix with a double coat and he actually returned with little to no shed!! This is incredible given other groomer experiences. His paws were neatly trimmed and nails cut. Also a huge plus that he smelled amazing afterwards (only a subtle scent and not overwhelming). Really appreciate the care and attention they took. We’ve definitely found our go-to groomer :)

I had a great experience with the grooming service at Harlem Doggie Day Spa. I’ve been looking for a new groomer since moving to the area and decided to try them out.Scheduling was easy and user friendly - I appreciated being able to book online & upload all of my dog’s vaccination records through the portal. On the day of the appointment, the staff was incredibly friendly and warm towards both me and my dog - they communicated clearly as to what to expect during my dog’s groom, which helped me plan out my WFH day. They took such good care of my pup - they really listened to my preferences regarding what I wanted him to look like and he left smelling heavenly (seriously, I can’t stop smelling him)! They even made him a monogrammed bandana, which was such a sweet and special touch! will definitely be returning to get my dog groomed here.

They truly care for every dog that walks through their door, spend time understanding what you want for your dogs cut, and make it an enjoyable experience for all. The staffs are very friendly and attentive. My dogs have been going there for a while for daycare and boarding and they love the staffs. The groomers also do a very exceptional job on the exit bath. My older dog used to have some matted hair that other groomers couldn’t take care of but they did their work like magic. She always came home with her hair so smooth and fluffy like cotton candy and smelled so nice. I would really like to see more videos of my dogs during boarding but from what ive seen they had been very happy.

The groomer did an excellent job.The receptionist Natasha did an excellent job.I paid a $50 deposit and had a balance of $160 when I picked him up. Left a $20 tip. $230 is not the going rate to have a 112 pound wolf dog groomed. There’s a place on 83rd that charges us $120 plus tip. And a another place at Broadway and 141 that runs $125.I changed my rating form one star to a four star because I don’t want them to lose business or jeopardize the jobs of the nice people working there.

Ughh I love the work they do at HDDS! I brought my 10 month old Scottish Terrier in for his very first grooming and when I picked him up he looked so beautiful! It was unbelievable! Thank you to the staff at HDDS for this amazing grooming and the lovely Kente cloth collar and leash! My only regret is that I wish I had gotten the name of the female groomer who attended us. I was extremely happy from the grooming results of both my senior Shih Tzu and my 2 year old Shih Tzu. Everyone (groomer and owner) listen to my grooming specifications and things were executed marvelously. Especially with my lil Shih Tsu she usually has issues from grooming and won’t walk for a week without itching. But not here! Plus my senior pup was well cared for I KNOW !My pups were actually happy when I came to get them and not because they were trying to leave but rather they were actually calm and happy. This was Mika’s second time here I love it. They adhere to the safety guidelines for COVID-19 and my puppy only cried on her first visit. The second time when Ashley took her, she was fine! I’m new to the doggy mom thing and usually use google to help me choose hair cuts. If there’s a cut I like, and show Ashley but the texture may not match the texture of my puppy, she lets me know and explains what would look best while still achieving the style I’m requesting. The staff here is so polite, knowledgeable and welcoming and Mika LOVES the treats they sell!!!! Both the jerky and the cookies! This is the only place I’ll be taking her to. Puppies can’t talk so it’s important to feel safe when you leave them with someone for any reason and this is definitely the place!

Love Harlem Doggie Day Spa! First, the staff Ronnie and Samantha were both super helpful and patient as I got all of the nessecary information and medical records needed. The whole team was very friendly to my 10 month old Frenchie, Bulma, who came in for a bath/spa treatment, including a blueberry facial(highly recommend)! They were understanding of her needs and took the extra precaution needed to protect her ears in the bath. She came out of the spa looking glowing, smelling amazing and super happy!! Took my medium sized Samoyed mix to get groomed here and had a great experience. The owner Brian was knowledgeable on how to groom double coats and was able to trim him in the way that I requested. There was no surprise pricing at the end. I tried several other neighborhood groomers and they didn’t seem to know how to groom his breed- similarly priced, and it was a waste of money each time. I am happy that I found a place I can return to.

I love Harlem Doggie Day Spa (and, more importantly, so does my dog). Quinnie, like many dogs, isnt crazy about the whole grooming, tooth brushing process, but youd never know it from watching her go calmly and serenely with the groomer and return smelling like fresh lavender. Her teeth are shiny white and her nails are perfectly cut -- whereas other groomers barely cut them at all. Today she came back with a Thanksgiving bow! Its the little things -- and the caring love -- that keep us coming back.

Brian at Harlem Doggie Day Spa has been hands down one of the most experienced groomers I have met! He is kind and very good at what he does. My one year old golden doodle Penny has gone to him twice and he has treated her with patience and love each time although she can be tough to groom because of her anxiety. Brian will forever be the person to groom Penny as long as he is around. His work place is also very warm and welcoming and always smells good!

I love this place. My 8 month old boxer has tons of energy but can also get really scared and anxious but after the first day she fell in love with the staff. The staff is great. They with the dogs and know the regulars personalities well. They have a great size space for the dogs no locking away in kennels for hrs and also do grooming and boarding. The prices are great for the city and they have multi day packages. You also get updates of the day complete with pics and video as well as an assessment of how your dog handled the day. We try to take our baby once a week or two. Cant say enough about them. I definitely recommend.

He was friendly and professional and very good with my dog who tends to get anxious when dropped anywhere unfamiliar. When I went to pick her up Robert assisted me. I brought my recently adopted foster fail here for an assessment for doggie daycare and he absolutely came back happy and exhausted. He previously did an assessment at another facility and he looked like he didn’t have fun and it could have been due to the large enclosures that may have triggered an anxiety from the shelter. I live really close to Harlem Doggie Day Spa and walk pass it everyday so I was excited to get an appointment fairly quickly.I dropped Jodie off at 1:00pm and she was ready around 4:30pm. She looked like a brand new dog and smelled great!I’m not familiar with full grooming pricing and had no issues paying. Please note my dog is only 13lbs. My total came out to $172. The gentleman at the front desk was a bit off putting. He charged me an extra fee because he said Jodie was manic when they were trying to cut hair from her paw. The groomer said she did a great job and didn’t mention that. Overall, I was pleased with the service but hesitant to go back.

I wanted to share that to be transparent on what to expect as far as pricing. My poodle wasn’t in the best condition and had a few mats.Overall, Brian did a great job with the hair cut he didn’t shave him down like the horror stories I’ve heard and my poodle was comfortable which is what matters most.I would visit again.

I can not say enough about Harlem doggie day spa. I was very skeptic about bringing my babies there . I was a loyal customer of Biscuits and Bath and Pet smart. I dont like change ( In new York , you want to live without stress and change is stress!). One day I was walking my babies and met Brian. He convinced me to try his spa. It was one of the best decision I made. My babies Lady Franchesca and Sir Wellington have never been happier! Brian has done an excellent job. Fran was shy and afraid of men. Wellington did not know how to socialize well. Today I have the happiest babies . Fran is sociable, she now approaches other people and Wellington looks for attention from every human he meets. Brian and his staff are attentive, caring and concern. He has a walking pickup service which has helped me a lot when I am extremely busy. Not only will Brian pick up your babies , he walks them too! ( A two for one price deal!). His boarding service is second to none. He constantly send me updates, pictures and Utubes on how they are adjusting. He has an open concept for boarding , no cages. the beds are comfortable and warm. This makes me feel that my babies are well taken care of - a home away from home. His grooming service is definitely the best! A visionary in the technique of grooming. I constantly receive compliments, I am stopped on the street and asked who I take them to for grooming on the cuts and new York style he has given. them. It is wonderful having a first class grooming salon in Harlem . I highly recommend this salon if you love your babies like I do!

They do great work here. Really professional and they do great grooming. Nice shave, clean nail trim. Just wish they gave my dog water that I gave them, she was dying of thirst :(

Not sure I could say anything that would do HDDS justice. We use them for grooming and doggie daycare and honestly, I feel so lucky that there is a one-stop shop like this in our neighborhood. We rant and rave about them to dog owners (and non dog owners alike!) We have two lab mixes and I’m always so impressed that when we walk in the staff remembers them by name and always seems so happy to welcome them. One of my favorite things about HDDS is their social media presence. I never worry about leaving my dogs there because I get to see them on Instagram and I see their Pawgress Reports.

Our goldendoodle, Teddy, is five years old and this is hands down one of the best grooms he has EVER received. We walked out of HDDS and someone passing by asked if Teddy was famous. I smiled and asked them why they asked. Their response? “Because he looks famous.” That’s how talented Brian is at grooming! Much love to this Harlem gem!

Maxi loves being with his doggy and human friends at HDDS. He’s always overly happy to see me when I pick him up but he’s never stressed or anxious, that tells me he’s well taken care of. I love the Pawgress report, always good to know how your child is behaving, sometimes not so good lol. Also it’s about supporting a local black owned business, Brian only wants the best for your doggy child, he truly is #dogfatherofharlem

I was going out of town for a business trip and I was looking for a place to board my 2 dogs Minnie and Coco. It was kind of difficult because they are not used to being boarded for 2 weeks. I heard of Brian who is the owner of HDDS through a neighborhor. I called to ask about boarding and they invited my 2 dogs in for a free day of daycare.I thought it was great because I had a chance to tour their cage-less boarding facility which felt like an apartment with a backayard for dogs. My pups loved the backyard!!!!!! They boarded for 2 weeks and I was able to get update on their instagram&facebook page. I was so satisfied that I would recommend brian and Harlem Doggie Day Spa.
