Theresa came into my home with her loving touch and groomed my 2 rescuedCats. Even though they had anxiety, her gentle touch and calming voice made them relax. Not only did she calm them down they were purring during the grooming session. I was stunned by her natural ability to connect with these onceFeral creatures. She’s outstanding, professional, intuitive and knowledgeable. I definitely will have her again And I highly recommend her.

Theresa has been grooming my male Shitzu for 11 years. Unfortunately the dog has some issues with anxiety and he is so calm during his grooming sessions with Theresa. She has a special gift for sure! I can tell he feels safe and I have developed solid trust in her.

Teddy had a great grooming session with Theresa! Teddy grew up bouncing around homes in public housing and I don’t think he had ever been groomed in his 8 years. Teddy can get quite feisty, but Teresa was able to intuitively work with him to have a nice grooming session. He got his nails clipped, teeth brushed, fur brushed and a bath. He is now purring in my lap and a happy clean cat! I recommend this service and will be a repeat customer!

The service was AMAZING. I have a 17yr old Chihuahua that wont let anyone pick him up. Theresa has the ability to connect with pets and I saw her do something that No Technicians have EVER been able to do and thats keep him calm & do a proper job. I am soo impressed with her approach, knowledge, expertise & results. I WISH I could have met her YEARS ago. Truly Amazed & Thankful for her helping my 17yr Old feel and look soo much better.

Theresa has been the far best groomer that I ever had, and I had pets all my life. She is smooth with her clippers and very gentle with my dog Lucky. She has a very pleasant personality and adapts her professionalism to any situation. And my dog really looks forward to seeing her.

Teresa is hands down the best dog groomer in the city. She is so cool and personable and was able to cut my Yorkies hair who is super difficult and she made it look easy. 10/10 highly recommend!

Theresa came in and immediately knew how to interact with my elderly cat. I’ve never seen this cat behave so calmly during a grooming. Theresa adapted to the energy my cat was giving off and really “met her where she is.” She was so gentle, professional, and knowledgeable. Not to mention, Theresa shaved, groomed, and cleaned ears in 30ish mins when I had been anticipating an hour or more. A true expert in her field and now she’s ruined any other groomer for me - I am only going to call her going forward. Until next time!

Our beautiful Bertie came to us after an unhappy past on the street. She is fiercely independent and does not tolerate much human interaction. Theresa is the Cat Whisperer! She spent time talking to Bertie, getting to know her, helping her to feel safe, using natural soothing products to make Bertie comfy. She shaved Bertie in a lion cut, leaving only head, feet, and tail, and Bertie was calm and tolerant for the entire cut! Theresa was patient, kind, gentle, and loving with Bertie, and the entire groom was smooth and easy. I cannot recommend Theresa highly enough, not only for her skill and professionalism, but also for her beautiful soul and ability to communicate calm and peace to animals.

Theresa is amazing! I have a very nervous 10 year old rescue that does not like to be groomed. Theresa came to my apartment with all of her tools and essential oils, and gave my dog a haircut, bath, cleaned her ears and cut her nails. She was extremely patient the whole time and my dog loved her. Extremely positive experience, I would highly recommend Theresa!

I highly recommend Teresa’s grooming service. She made a house call last week to groom my 18 year old cat Maisie. Maisie is old and doesn’t groom herself like she used to when she was younger. So she developed these mats of clumped hair that made lying down very uncomfortable for her. Teresa was able to perform her magic and shave Maisie’s mats off without nicking her because as you may know, cats have very thin skin. Maisie looks beautiful now and I promised Teresa that I would be diligent about brushing her. Teresa has a wonderful personality. She is friendly and above all highly professional in her work. You won’t go wrong in hiring Teresa to groom your dog or cat.

Theresa came to me on such short notice, and had a huge task in front of her- de matting and cleaning my foster dog who had been neglected for months before getting rescued by a shelter. She said she has never seen matting like that, and even though the job was extreme, she was patient, loving, and calm. She developed a relationship with our dog, and spent so much time caring for him and making sure he got a new shot at life. His transformation was unbelievable, and we couldn’t be more grateful we found Theresa. He turned out looking like a brand new dog, we really couldn’t believe it. On top of that, Theresa put us in touch with a potential adopter for our foster!! The experience really couldn’t have been better.

Theresa was amazing. She spent an exceptional amount of time and attention on my two cats, and made my first experience with in home grooming very positive. Theresa has been grooming my cat and dog for many years.We all look forward to her arrival. She brings light and love into our home whenever she arrives.While I know this is a Cat website, I do need to mention that my Yorky, Clara, dreads her haircut since she is fearful of just about everything, Theresa has a way of calming her down and grooming her beautifully in a short amount of time.And Clara truly loves her despite it all.For the past several days my cat, Happy has become quite ill.When Theresa arrived she started to massage his spine and back legs, which he cannot move, and as I write this review he is fast asleep in his bed looking more content and Happy than Ive seen him in days.Theresa is a Cat/Dog whisperer.We are all so glad she is in our lives.

I have 3 rescue cats and the only person I trust to groom and love them is “Aunt” Theresa.She has given each a nickname which I now call them by.Theresa is extremely gentle during the grooming and kisses them several times In the process.I trust no one with my kitties but her.She is a true animal lover through and through.Theresa has respect and compassion for all of living creatures.😻😻😻

Theresa is wonderful. I have a 16 year old bichon who had surgery last year and recently dislocated his hip. I was worried about taking him to a new groomer - but needed a mobile groomer because the vet said no more grooming salons at his age and with his orthopedic issues.Theresa was both very professional and also extremely approachable and receptive to my ideas. She had a number of different suggestions about how to make my dog more comfortable during the grooming. He was comfortable with her almost straight away- there was no trembling and trying to hide as his his usual way. He doesnt love to be bathed! When handling him she was cautious and gentle and did not become impatient when he fussed. She listened carefully to my concerns and checked with me as we went along to make sure we were addressing his needs. She was quick to come up with a different plan when something seemed to be stressing him out, so that I was never worried he would luxate his hip even for a second. As result he was happy and not a total nervous wreck as he usually is after every other groom he has had in his life. Oh and he looks like a million bucks too 😃😃😃🐩 😃👍

Simply the most caring , skilled and loving groomer you could ever ask to care for your petMy very tough street rescue cat Millie 14 years old was a challenge . Theresa was a blessing , considering it was my babies first grooming . She was gentle and had patience and awesome energy . My kitty looks beautiful and fluffy . Thersea also did not rush which I know my kitty had a lot of mattes, she took her time and gave her baby breaks and treats in between . I will def keep her as a maintence program for my baby .

My Cats/kids are my world and Aunt Theresa(as Monty, Saybra Joy and Gino know her as) fits right in.She is kind, gentle, caring and understanding with each of their needs.I say this only because it is true.We all love Aunt Theresa even though Gino still runs under the bed when he sees her but she gets him out quickly and gently!Theresa is a kind soul who gives them hugs and kisses in between the grooming to make sure they feel safe and loved.I do not feel the anxiety which I felt with other groomers before while they were getting groomed.I am an over protective, breakfast, snacks in between and dinner kind of Mom who brings them their bowls where ever they might be. I have shelves built for them that go as high as my walls allow and spoil them rotten. Crazy cat lady yes I am!!!Im a happy and satisfied costumer with Holistic Cat Groomer NYC...

Theresa the pet groomer, takes great care with the work she does, to not only complete a successful groom in which she explains to the client who wishes to learn from her, how she carefully navigates through the pets more sensitive areas, etc. but also offers tips as to how to optimize the work she does in between visits. Ive learned a great deal from her, and have had the blessing of seeing her treat two of my pets, Her years of experience, grooming, is evident when you see the outcome of her work. So thankful to have learned of her.

This woman is awesome! First of all, she has a magical personality. My young male wild tabby cat Teddy loved her!!! He fell asleep on her lap which Ive never seen him do. She cut his claws and she even made his coat look brand new. I would recommend Pet groom New York to anyone who loves their pets.

Theresa came to my apartment and groomed my cavalier King Charles. She was very down to earth, so sweet with my pup and gave her the exact cut I wanted. Our dog Lily is a Cavalier Bichon mix and she gets very stressed out when she goes to the groomers, and because she has a heart murmur the vet said that she cannot have any stress. So we called Theresa to come to our home to groom Lily because we felt it would be less stressful if we were around her. One of the things that scares Lily most are the clippers, and Theresa spent over three hours with Lily and groomed her with only scissors. She had many interesting and effective methods, such as using essential oils to calm Lily down. You can tell that she loves and cares about the dog, and we will definitely have her come again. Theresa was so lovely and I cannot recommend her enough.
