We love Puppy Tale Lodge! This place is a gem. The staff is unbelievably kind, caring, and patient. We love how they let our large dog roam around after his bath instead of keeping him crated up. He always smells fantastic after. They do a great job cleaning his ears and cutting his nails. You can tell they really care for the dogs and like what they do. Would recommend to all looking for any grooming service. We feel so comfortable leaving our dog here for a few hours. They offer optional payment through an app, and notify you when your dog needs to be picked up. Puppy Tale Lodge also ensures all vaccinations are up to date which we really appreciate.

We are so glad that we found this place!! Hands-down the best groomer in UES! We have tried other grooming places/services in town and had been disappointed in the past. Our little pup still needs a bit of getting used to getting groomed but the staff at Puppy Tale Lodge definitely made him feel safe. They did a wonderful job and I will never look for any other groomers in town because this will be the only place we will go to!!! They truly have the most wonderful, caring and understanding staff!

Roger and the entire Puppy Tale Lodge team is THE BEST and SO professional!!! Roger is the most caring, honest, kind, reliable and talented groomer and person. He really takes his time and makes sure that our dog is comfortable and happy while he is there. He is always so accommodating and everyone who goes there is so happy with their services. All of them are big animal lovers and really care for the dogs. Roger grooms my wheaten terrier Junior so perfectly and he’s truly the best groomer on the Upper East Side!!! We are forever grateful!

The Puppy Tale Lodge always does an excellent job with my senior Pomeranian/toy poodle. I love them and they are amazing and I don’t mind paying their prices to know my dog is safe there. We go monthly!

My dog Oliver has been going to Roger since before he opened up puppy tale lodge. He started grooming him in 2020 and always took the best care of him while also giving him the most gorgeous grooming! I was so excited for Roger when he opened puppy tale lodge and it does not disappoint. All 5 of my family dogs LOVE visiting Roger and his team and we’ve referred many friends who are equally as happy with the quality of service, attention to detail during the grooming, and most importantly the love and safe space him and his team provide our fur babies! The whole team is simply fantastic. Couldn’t recommend them more!

Owner groomer Roger is so sweet to accommodate our dog to be groomed since we are going back to the country up north of the city. Wry hood dealing with the dog and gave a very good cut to our dog. Very pleased that we found Roger. Natalia is very nice and pleasant to us new customer.

I took my dog to an endless amount of groomers for the last 3 years, and I finally found this place. My dog always got so scared when we went to any groomer. When we go to Puppy Lodge, she goes right in. Everyone who works there is so friendly, and my pup always comes out with the perfect haircut. 10/10

Puppy Tale Lodge is the best thing that has happened to my wonderful Havanese & me. The fact that dogs are allowed to be free while waiting for their grooming is very important to me. Roger has very high standards & I have known him for a long time . Everyone at Puppy Tale Lodge is caring & all the staff clearly love dogs.

My pup is not a fan of the groomer, but he always comes out happy and smelling great! The dogs get to roam off leash and socialize while waiting their turn. Affordable and kind.

I met Roger on the street and at the time, could not find a groomer in the area that I liked (or that Buffy liked!). Once I met him and his dog Prince, I never went to another place. Buffy always looks amazing, is happy and I trust Roger and his staff. Best groomer in the neighborhood by far! And I’ve gone to them all ;)

They are amazing I took baby first and then my other dog named patches I was shocked when I saw patches calm while getting groomed; I was so happy I wanted to cry of joy because throughout his 10 years he would be groomed elsewhere and they always said he needed to be put to sleep for grooming which is why I would try to avoid cutting his hair as much and just brush. I’m so happy I found Roger because he has patience and he said patches was a good boy he didn’t need to be put to sleep just to get groomed they are so sweet !!!

Not only did they go above and beyond to help me out not once, but twice, without even a hint of hesitation, they also demonstrated their commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.During one visit, a mentally ill woman came banging on the door while I was inside, accompanied by her poor little dog. In an unfortunate incident, she directed hateful slurs towards me. However, the swift and decisive action taken by the owner left me astounded. They immediately stepped in, ensuring my safety, and banned the individual from their establishment, standing firmly against any form of discrimination or intolerance.This experience truly speaks volumes about the exceptional character of the owners and their dedication to creating a welcoming space for all. It reaffirms why I have chosen to make this place my forever spot, cherishing not only the way they treat me but the extraordinary love and attention they show to my beloved furry companion, Sassy-Girl. Trust me, this place is not only a haven but a shining example of compassion and inclusivity!

Roger did an absolutely SPECTACULAR job on Georgie’s hair. She is a large dog (standard poodle) and usually takes 5+ hours at the groomers. Roger had her hair cut and looking gorgeous in no time! The best part was I really felt like I could trust everyone at Puppy Tale Lodge to take good care of my Georgie. It’s always nerve wracking bringing your dog to the groomer but I really felt good about leaving her in their care.

Yes, Im one of those dog owners that thinks they have a kid hence expects the same care you would a human baby. May be wrong, but thats the way it is.That said, Ive been to Puppy Tale Lodge twice now and the experience has been great. My Havanese has come out looking incredibly cute. She didnt go in for anything complicated (eg., de-matting, tooth cleaning) and they followed the instructions I gave of not cutting the hair much and just sticking for a light trim and they fully followed instructions.The staff is very friendly and the grooming happens in plain sight which is always a good thing. They are also very reasonably priced for the area.The main reasons why Im not giving 5 stars are because 1) they do not ask for vaccinations... which now that Ive looked at other places seems like a reasonable thing to do and 2) doggies are running around the area where the grooming is taking place which doesnt necessarily seem safe.None of my cons listed above will prevent from going again to Roger, but they also prevent me from becoming a totally loyal customer. Once my pups goes for a bit more complete grooming I hope to change my rating to 5 stars. Also, there are pickier people than me out there that may appreciate the perspective.
