I brought my dog in on a whim, after my neighbor Iliana highly recommended them to me. I thought our former groomers were great. Until I realized my dog Bandit was STILL unnervingly terrified, EVERY time we walked into the place. And I realized, changes had to be made. Quickly.Enter Town House. The staff is so caring. . He needs monthly nail trims. I KNOW I made the right choice because they make your pet their priority, no matter how much $ you’re spending .The amount of time they put into making Bandit comfortable, even though I’m only spending $25, (nail trim and tip) is AMAZING. In fact, it brought literal tears to my eyes when they trimmed the hairs away from Bandit’s eyes, and didn’t add $10 to the bill, they did it because they wanted Bandit to see well.It’s too bad that those acts of kindness from businesses are so rare! But I’m also aware that to be a small business in NYC is cruelly expensive. Which is why I understand why businesses“nickel and dime” their customers. Just LIVING in NYC is extremely difficult. Unless you’re wealthy. Which I am NOT.But having pet groomers like ‘Town House’ for whimpers are a passion. And not just a means for profit is so freeing. I no longer dread walking Bandit to get his nails trimmed. In the Spring I’m taking him in for a full groom and cut. His fur is pretty fine, so I only get him a full “puppy cut” for the Summer months, and have his fur grow out for the Winter. I’m sure he won’t display the same intense stress and anxiety, he did with his previous groomers.I think everyone in Chelsea should bring their fur children to ‘Town House groomers &Pet supplies’. Neither you nor your pet(s) will regret it!!!❤️❤️❤️**I just HAD to add this ** Im in the midst of a 1 year+ $$$ crisis. Long story short, in order to save much needed $$(and NOT use ANY of my childs college fund) I tried to DIY some of Bandits grooming. Trimming his nails... actually, it was more of an attempt to trim his nails, was disastrous. Its likely both of us have PTSD from that debacle.It was painfully obvious that Id have to set aside some $$ for (much needed) monthly, nail trims. I resolved to ask Ellie if she could trim his nails a bit shorter or file them down to minimize his visits?? I told her about my unexpected, difficulties.And... She trimmed his nails, and gave him a sanitary groom (I didnt know about that till we got home), and re-trimmed (I had given him a lousy trim) the hair around his eyes... and she would NOT accept ONE penny from me.I would never expect nor ask for such a concession. Having a business in NYC is hard enough WITHOUT entitled clients.I BELIEVE in God. Despite my current hardship, I see the hand of God in my and my familys lives. Undoubtedly, Ellie, and Towne House are God sent.Im sharing this because Ellies grace, generosity, and concern is (regrettably) lacking in our city. What makes her kindness even more extraordinary is, We are new clients. I have NOT spent hundreds of $$at Towne House. Yet.And I WILL stay loyal. Partly because of Ellies generosity. But MOSTLY because Bandit, LOVES Ellie. Bandit does NOT warm up to people easily. So when he DOES warm to someone? I pay attention. Lol. And Bandits comfortability around Ellie is proof positive (IMO) that pets are NOT just business, and profit for Ellie. Because although MY gratitude for her generosity knows no bounds... I know, scratch that... Bandit knows that Ellie did it for HIM. His comfort, and his health.Unless theres ANOTHER pet grooming business owner, that embodies Ellies spirit, and business philosophy. Then everyone who reads this,should bring their beloved pet to Towne House pet grooming, and supplies.**I apologize. Because obviously the long story was NOT short after all**

Amazing staff and service! Our pup goes every month and always comes out looking and smelling great. I’m a bit neurotic with how I want his hair cut and they are so accommodating. He also pulls me to the store so I know he’s treated well there.

Our 18 year old cat Kobe became very matted all over. She is tiny, 5 lbs. and has never been groomed. We took her to Towne House Grooming and entrusted her to Elly Wong, a master groomer experienced with cats.Elly was gentle and careful grooming Kobe who had to be shaved. Kobe now looks like a cute fuzzy kitten with her new shave.The Towne House front office staff (Ashley and Stephen) are friendly and helpful. The store is cozy and charming. We met several happy canine clients being picked up by their pet parents. We are very appreciative of Elly and the Towne House staff who took good care of our Kobe. My dog hadn’t been professionally groomed in seven months and had a few mats around her neck that she wouldn’t let me comb out. The team at Towne House was really friendly and managed to not only get the mats out without shaving my pup (a huge win); they also made her look incredibly well-groomed. Price-wise it’s similar to most groomers in Manhattan, and IMO worth every penny. I will definitely be bringing her back here regularly!

Excellent groomers who are kind and patient with the dogs and really listen to what customers want. This is the only place I’ve ever brought my little spitz where they haven’t over-shorn her, yet they managed to strip her coat for summer and trim up her foot, tail, and ear fringes perfectly. She came home soft, beautiful and completely un-traumatized.

Towne House Grooming is excellent and I would highly recommend them. My standard poodle went for her first appointment and she looks amazing. I couldnt be more pleased with the outcome. They were incredible with the shaving and detailed, tedious work required for her paws and muzzle. They understood exactly what I was looking for with her cut and executed it perfectly. Additionally, the staff is friendly, welcoming, and professional. I have already scheduled our next visit.

Amazing people! I went to drop my golden doodle off for grooming this morning, he has pretty bad matting from wearing his harness / getting wet. They thoroughly spent 15+ minutes discussing my options and went into detail explaining what they could do for him. They let me know they would most likely have to shave him down which is something wed prefer not to do. Instead of just taking my business and doing it without our consent, they offered that I shop around for other groomers to see what they can do for him. After consideration and input from my boyfriend who hates the idea of shaving him right before the holidays (he looks so silly shaved) we decided it be best I bring him back after the holidays are over. Although I didnt get him groomed there yet, I really appreciate their transparency, friendliness and time with me! You can tell these people really care about animals, and the happiness of their customers. Will 100% bring him back soon and recommend to others!

I expected to pay an upchargeupcharge of the matting but most importantly we had a good clear discussion beforehand about how to approach the grooming. The owner and her daughter could not have been nicer! I was nervous as it was my dogs first time and he’s a bit anxious. They did such a good job, and he came out happy and wagging. The owner even took him in the back again when I picked him up to take off more fur so that the hair cut was exactly what I wanted. I rarely write reviews but had to for them! This groomer is a bit far from my apartment but it was definitely worth it. I recommend!

This is the only groomers I bring pur familys yorkie, schnauzer and king charles. They are very good with specific styles and willing to do as you ask them. Our dogs always look great and are happy to be back.
