We’ve been sending our dog Stella to daycare once a week and board her occasionally when we travel. Stella has a great time there and is so excited when we drop her off she immediately runs into the daycare and off with the employees. She always looks so happy when D is for doggy sends us pictures of her. We also love the cageless overnight boarding so she can have company at night.

This is the happy place for my dog Blue he is been in training since he is 10 weeks old to become my service dog. His socialization skills are upmost in order he gains his qualifications for been recognize from ADA and at the same time he will never be a puppy again and D for Doggy at Amsterdam Avenue in the Upper West Side was a recommendation from his trainer and a pet fellow parent. Blue absolutely love D for Doggy love the attention, care and tender love of all the staff pouring to him. They are on top of the little pretty things as his first baby tooth came out and his first Halloween picture! I am grateful to all the staff for the caring and love to my puppy he always came home happy and tired of play all day with his fellow friends. Thank you

We love D is for Doggy! Our dog, Clive, has been going there for both daycare and overnight boarding, and he is always delighted to see the staff and always comes home tired and happy. The sitters there are all so sweet: they clearly love dogs, and they send lots of great photos and videos when Clive stays. They also do a lot of really thoughtful things like pup-of-the-week contests, posting lists of dogs having a birthday each month, halloween treats and costume contests, holiday treats for the dogs--I could go on. Ive recommended D is for Doggy to lots of friends, and Im so grateful to have a place where I can leave my dog and know hell be safe, happy, and treated with love.

After a couple of months at Biscuits & Bath (which we were quite pleased with); we decided to give D is for Doggy (DIFD) a try.Our closest friends live in the apartment complex that DIFD is located in and they take their two miniature dachshunds to DIFD.There are two reasons we decided to try the new place out.1. 24-7 CAMERAS!!!!!!! This is the absolute main reason. It bothered me that I could not see my dog when she is not with me. It is important to me that my puppy be socialized and not rely solely on my company, though it is extremely rare that I am not with her. Consequently, I want to see what is happening with her at all times. This service is theeeee NUMBER one feature that I love about this facility.2. The pricing. Biscuits & Bath is AWESOME, but I got tired of paying the equivalent of a car payment to have my doggie groomed.In addition to the above, the staff at DIFD is warm, attentive, friendly and you can tell that they just love what they do.Lastly, we were happy with our prior groomer. She was lovely and did an excellent job. I can honestly attest that the grooming that our dog received from DIFD is the best she has EVER had. My husband was blown away when she came home and it was literally half the price. I am beyond satisfied.Its definitely not as fancy as our former facility - but our little dog seems happier to be surrounded by a placed dedicated to the comfort of the dogs vs. the aesthetic of the facility. ... and she is a dog, after all. 😉1st pic is before grooming - last 2 are after.We are so happy with the services. My dog Frankie sprints up the sidewalk when he realizes Im taking him to daycare. They are so attentive and he loves it. Couldnt recommend it more.

Wow! That is all I can say...I have been to the 6th ave location(waiting for the uws location,my neighborhood,to open since i got Lucy), which was great for my Pup. I took her there at 10 weeks old from her first training class to her first puppy cut. Now at 5 months old and a 6 day trip planned i had to board her...Scared ****less i left her there and could not be happier. The staff, just like the other locations were awesome! I got tons of photos(see below) sent to me, checked her out on the web cam when i was gone, saw her reach celebrity status on their fb page lol. Highly recommend!

They did an excellent job trimming my pups nails and filed and buffered them. The groomer was fully booked up, but took me as a walk-in really quickly and then complimented my dog. A great experience.

D is for Doggy had been soooo wonderful for my older, blind dog Benji (RIP) and for my younger, wild dog. There is a lot of observation & handling all of which one can watch on their puppycam.

Theres no better place to bring your dog. The ENTIRE staff are kind, generous, and caring for the pets. My guy started as a one-year-old there, scared of leaving us and of dogs in the other rooms. Now, he runs there and happily jumps on and greets every person that works there, and bolts to the back to meet his friends.Couldnt recommend D is for Doggy more

My dog is almost 11 years old and has been coming to D for Doggy for quite a while. Well he is not as active as he used to be, he definitely is thrilled to be there. He loves all the workers and has favorites among the dogs. I love that I can watch him during the day, if I have the time, on the video Cam that is streaming live.

I honestly dont know what Id do without D is for Doggy on the Upper West Side on Amsterdam Ave. This is my dog, Phineass, second home. They treat him like hes their son. They take such exceptional care of him and have been an absolute godsend. Im so incredibly grateful to them for all they do. Special shouts to managers Kelly (Nicole) and Alissa for all they do to run this branch of the business. The whole team is just amazing. Best place Ive ever had carer for my dog.

I cant say enough positive things about D is for Doggy! Our dog, Ralphie, has been going to daycare here for over a year and it is his FAVORITE place ever. The staff is amazing and they treat every dog as if they were their own. Ralphie never wants to leave - its like doggy Disneyland (they even decorate for Halloween, Christmas, etc.!). Weve left Ralphie overnight here for both weekend trips and 2-week vacations, and every time has been a success. He has separation anxiety, so boarding at D is for Doggy is perfect because hes never left alone and never put in a crate. The staff is fantastic with following with specific food and medication instructions.Ralphie also gets groomed here and Jesus does an amazing job. He is so sweet and patient with dogs who hate getting groomed.Ive referred many other dog owners to D is for Doggy, so I felt it was high time I leave a review. Run your dog here ASAP!

It was so great when they opened up to big dogs in the upper west side! Love this place. The staff is very friendly and quick to respond, and the cameras are very useful for boarding so you can watch your pup when you’re away and maybe miss them. They’ve sent me photos before and I really appreciate the extra effort. My two dogs always look very happy when they spend time there and come home smelling great! Definitely recommend.
