We cannot thank Blake and Dream Come True K9 enough for the incredible transformation we’ve seen in our dog Hudson.Hudson, at 4.5 years old, was highly leash reactive—he would become extremely stressed and fearful when we encountered other dogs on our walks, making it challenging to walk him peacefully (we live in NYC there are more dogs than people!).After completing the six-week board and train program with Blake in FL, Hudson is a more confident and calm dog (and so are his humans!)Since his training, while he still has ā€˜feelings’ on walks, we now have the tools necessary to correct the behavior and Hudson has the confidence to refocus and move on.If you’re struggling with ANY challenges with your dog, big, small or otherwise, I highly recommend Dream Come True K9 and Blake’s expertise.

Enola and the DCTK9 team are miracle workers. We recently picked up our 8mo Staffy girl last week and I cannot believe the progress after the 6 week board and train. We dropped her off as an uncontrollable, hyperactive, stubborn little troublemaker and took home a perfect, well mannered, sweet angel. Goals were leash walking, impulse control, basic manners, control of jumping/nipping/pulling, and house training and DCTK9 exceeded all expectations and more.Prior to DCTK9 , we’ve tried obedience training, apps, and a two week board and train and she just kept regressing and it was becoming very stressful for our household with a 3yo toddler. We were very hesitant to try again considering the investment but DCTK9 was the best decision we made for Carmy and 10000% worth the lifetime of happiness we’re going to have with her. The entire family is so in love and we’ve all bonded with her now which wasn’t the case prior.Thank you Enola and team for being a wealth of information and for making Carmy the best dog she can be. We are happy to now be part of the DCTK9 family and look forward to many play sessions there!**Also (first picture), I took her to my office for the first time and she was perfect. Never thought she would be able to do this and now I want to take her everyday - truly a dream come true!**

Dream Come True K9 is the gift that keeps on giving. My staffordshire terrier completed two series of group training courses with Blake in 2017 (?). It was so long ago I cant quite remember, but I know for sure that the sessions changed my dog and my relationship with my dog. Before the courses, my dog would snap at me, and pull me like crazy on the leash. Plus he was super reactive to other dogs on the street. After the two courses he was much improved, and we were even able to attend Sosh, which was a sunday one-hour walk-around the training studio with other owners/dogs. It was so satisfying to see my dog successfully interact with other dogs, and watch Blake correct dogs in the moment when they would make a mistake. So it was educational for the dogs, and their people. Now, all these years later when I bring my dog on vacation to NYC with me, I am still able to leave Mucca there for Train & Play and also dog boarding when needed. And what I think is most impressive is how professional the whole experience is from top to bottom. From the email correspondence (Serena, ?) to the handlers. They are legit, and thats the way my dog is able to succeed in their environment. Most recently I handed my dog off to Jessica, and picked him up from Beat. Both handlers were super calm, professional and seemed invested in my dogs progress/well being. 100% perfect. Book early because they do fill up. If youre not taking your dog to DCTK9, what are you even doing?

We want to give a massive THANK YOU to Blake and Zach for helping our dog, Ella, to become an amazing dog to have around. My wife and I began working with Blake 4 years ago when we rescued our dog, at about 16 weeks old. He instilled some great habits in us as the owners and in Ella as a new puppy. As time went on, and with changes in life circumstances, it became clear to us that Ella needed a boot camp of sorts to turn back into her fun, goofy, relaxed self. We made the decision to send Ella to the 6 week board and train program.Blake and Zach took amazing care of her and gave her the structure and confidence that she needed. It’s almost hard to believe, as if it was magic… but by day 1 while we watched Ella and her pack of dog buddies via Instagram updates, we already started to see positive changes in her behavior. We loved following along virtually (huge shout out to the team for doing such a great job of always posting updates) and we lit up with excitement every time we saw Ella learning and opening up. We joked with Blake when we dropped off Ella about how she was terrified of the water and all the money would be worth it if he could get her into the pool. Fast forward about 4 weeks, and we see Ella jumping into the pool with Blake to swim a lap. Our jaws were on the floor! This example just speaks to the level of change, and ease of anxiety, that Blake and Zach were able to achieve during the program. We were lucky enough to travel down to FL from NY to do a visit with Ella well into her time in the program. Watching her interact with other dogs and seeing the clear method of communication between her and Blake, which allowed her to take direction very easily, instilled the confidence in ourselves that we needed to continue helping Ella be her best self.As I write this, we are about 1 week post finishing the program and there are noticeable, dramatic differences in her behavior and ability to take direction. We were able to utilize that clear communication method that I mentioned earlier to easily translate to our relationships with her. To illustrate just one example, Ella used to greet people excitedly at the door with jumping, licking, and the occasional play nipping. She would get so wound up with joy (it’s cute when they are puppies… but not so cute when they are 50 lb Pit Lab mixes!) that it was hard to get her to stop that behavior once it started. Within her first week back home, Ella did jump up on one of our friends who came over, but the difference was, with ONE correction she stopped in her tracks and it didn’t happen again. She understood that the behavior just wasn’t ā€œwhat we do here anymoreā€ and was able to move on without feeling like she was in trouble or being anxious that she had made a mistake. For us, this tremendous progress is something we feel great about and reinforces our confidence in the reason we entrusted Blake and his team to help not only Ella, but us as her owners!Ella has the tools she needs to be the dog we want her to be and the dog we know that she wants to be. We have the tools we need to have to be the owners we want to be, and continue to be incredibly proud of her. We cannot recommend Blake enough and would send anyone we know to him in a heartbeat without thinking twice. THANK YOU to Blake and Zach for taking such amazing care of Ella!

I cannot overstate how life-changing working with DCTK9 has been. If you are looking for a trainer for your dog(s), truly look no further. We started working with them through private lessons with Enola in the fall of last year and ultimately decided to do a 6-week Board and Train for each of them early this year. The experience has been truly transformational -- our puppies were not serious problems (no biting, etc.), but as they got stronger, their leash pulling and jumping up in particular was really out of control, and it was making walking with them and taking them out really more scary and exhausting than fun. Especially with two in the home, it was just a lot of chaos a lot of the time. After the Board & Train they are such better versions of themselves -- Oakley used to be fearful of *everything* and now he approaches new objects and people all on his own. Iris used to get really insecure when wed ask her to even do a basic command like sit -- shed run to the corner of wherever we were and just stare at us -- and now she does what we ask. She also used to be super shy, and now she plays beautifully with other dogs.Much more than that, though, is the improvement of all of our quality of life -- walking them and exploring the city together is now fun, and if we have guests over we can ask them to place and they sit calmly until we invite them to interact. It feels like magic, truly. We love DCTK9 so much that we have also taken a round of excellent group classes with Tarah, and done overnight boarding a whole bunch while were out of town. Their train & play option is also amazing so we can keep up their skills while were at work. Finally, we STILL love them so much that we have already booked many more private lessons with Enola so we can keep sharpening their off-leash reliability.I went to DCTK9 hoping for slightly more well-trained dogs. I ended up with happier, more confident dogs, and a stronger relationship with them. I even learned about myself in the process. I cannot emphasize how transformative this has been for all of us.I can also share that the entire team were really great about keeping us updated with photos, videos, and messages throughout their stay. We looked forward to all the amazing instagram videos every day of their progress!AND -- Enola has been tremendously helpful as well as we worked through some nutrition issues that were affecting their behavior. Thanks to her, our puppies eat *so* much better, have had way fewer gastrointestinal issues, and I get to feel good about what Im feeding them. Please run straight to DCTK9 if you are thinking about dog training!Huge, huge thanks to Enola for the magic, to Tarah for the encouragement, to Blake for running such a beautiful program, to Lindsey for helping us with logistics, and to Selena for dealing with all my many long email essays with humor and thoroughness. And thank you to everyone who cared for them, trained them, played with them, and made all the amazing IG posts

Blake and the DCTK9 team have significantly changed the lives of myself, my husband and our Weimaraner, Miles. At 10 months old, our sweet, silly, docile puppy went through a traumatic experience and his behavior drastically changed. We worked with our puppy trainer and vet and saw zero improvement, in fact, it got worse. Miles was suddenly extremely anxious around strangers, jumping, lunging and trying to attack anyone and everyone, he was on meds to calm him down. I started a months-long process of finding a new trainer or specialist, trying to avoid the last resort. In one case, we were told our dog had snapped and was beyond help. I had nearly lost hope when Miles was kicked out of yet another doggy daycare, but the owner recommend Blake. I reached out to find out more (crying on the phone) and we decided on a 5 week board & train for Miles. Thanks to DCTK9, my husband and I feel confident that we are building a better relationship with Miles and can control his behavior. We are still working on his issues, but I no longer fear the last resort. We continuously use DCTK9 for their boarding and walking services. Ill never forget Jen, one of the trainers, returning Miles from his Meet & Greet walk, and she bent over to receive some kisses! I thought for sure Miles was going to attack her. Its just a testament to the entire teams knowledge of dogs and their effectiveness. When we travel, I do not worry about Miles or any incidents occurring, since everyone on the team understands his triggers. If you have an issue with your dog, take him to DCTK9! They truly are the best and so worth it.

I can’t say enough about these guys! Blake and Andrew are very hands-on, and really take the time to explain the nuances of their techniques and training tools so that you can truly be successful.I adopted Pippa (a shepherd/spaniel mix) when she was 2 years old, and she had never lived in a home before. The transition was more difficult than I expected. She was extremely anxious, hyper, and had never learned basic commands. Later she developed some severe separation anxiety, and it got to the point that I wasn’t able to leave my apartment without a neighbor complaining about her never-ending screaming. After a few private sessions and the 5-week group class, Pippa is far less anxious, has more confidence, listens, and has improved in nearly every way. She walks perfectly on the leash, has full recall off leash with the remote collar (even around squirrels), and I can leave her alone knowing that she will be comfortable and I won’t be hearing from the neighbors. When I have to leave her overnight, I feel so at ease taking her to DCTK9 for Board and Train. She’s always happy to walk in, and comes back cheerful, tired, and more obedient than when I left her.I would highly recommend any of the DCTK9 services to any dog owner – you won’t be disappointed.

I was very saddened when I heard our trainer Nancy was leaving Dream come true K9. She was very welcoming and professional. Over the course of past year, we have been doing private sessions with Nancy and our German shepherd Tank. Nancy taught us very much about how to be a good dog handler and how to properly train our dog showing us all the necessary techniques to always stay positive and get the best result. She was always very good at listening to what we had to say and regards to our dog’s behavior and she was very detailed about how we should counteract whenever he misbehaves. We wish her the best of luck and we will miss her very much, especially our boy Tank. Thank you Nancy!

We rescued Max, a beagle-mix, from a hoarder and at 16 month he was a puppy stuck in a adult dogs body without any boundaries and a lot of anxiety due to growing up inside an apartment without structure and hardly any exposure to the outside world or other dogs his size or bigger. He is the sweetest dog but has more energy than he know what to do with and no manners or idea how to behave towards the unknown. We did 5 session group class and Blake and his team help me to understand him better and gave me the tools to make him a more adjusted dog. Our walks went from stressful outings that left me exhausted to, still quite eventful :) , but much more enjoyable and social events and I see a great future with Max.We are now regulars at the Saturday socialization classes which is a safe setting for dogs to learn how to approach and engage with other dogs and learn boundaries and appropriate levels of play and excitement. This has been such a revelation and I believe that by attending it regularly Max will learn to be around any dog without any issues and enjoy being the playful, social little man he is.Thank you Dream Come True K9 for your guidance and valuable couching!

DCTK9 has been a godsend for us. As new arrivals to NYC the transition was difficult enough. Having a dog that suffers from high anxiety made it almost a nightmare. Although our dog Colbie had been through a five week board and train, we were still in dire need of someone who was not only willing to walk a dog that was prone to nervous outbursts but be able to keep up her structure on the walk to help her continue to adapt and learn how to be calm and comfortable on a leash. This is where DCTK9 and Jen came in. They came highly recommended by our dogs previous trainer and for good reason. Jen and her team of walkers were not only patient with Colbie, but they partook in helping her to grow in confidence. Colbie is now going on walks almost daily with other dogs. We get an update after each walk(and sometimes photos!) and they are always quick to inform us if they are seeing any issues on the walk so we can work on it. Even if you dont have a dog that has issues on walks or any other types of problems, their service is second to none. The team is very flexible with our schedule and we are always able to cancel or add extra walks as our schedule changes, provided we know a day in advance, and even if not, they do the best they can to help. We have also used their overnight boarding services when we had to make a last minute out of town trip. They were very accommodating to fitting in Colbie and I have never felt safer leaving my dog for an extended period. Recommend for any dog, any service, any day.

I cannot say enough great things about Blake and the entire DCT team. We had seen 2 trainers to no avail - our girl was anxious, reactive to so many things (dogs, people, skates), had separation anxiety, pulled SO hard on leash, and filled with endless energy that we could never expend. Our entire day was structured around her and we were worried things wouldn’t get better. After a consultation and a visit, we decided on a Board & Train at Blake’s home in Florida. Best investment we’ve made! She’s been home for a few weeks now and there’s been immense improvement. There are still a lot of things that we’re working on, but it’s been amazing to see the change. Our relationship has changed so much and it’s been so joyful to learn how to fulfill her while still maintaining our boundaries and rules. Blake and the team are SO responsive and helpful. We are incredibly grateful for this team!

We just recently joined the Dream Come True K9 family this summer. We had adopted Benny from a local shelter in Brooklyn in February and were looking for the right fit, training wise, to help him with some anxiety issues and basic commands. While researching online we came across Blake from DCTK9 and were really impressed with the knowledge and compassion he had for our four legged friends. Needless to say we set up an appointment to come tour the facility and meet one of the master trainers, Carla (who is awesome and obvious she shared the same love for training as Blake). We enrolled Benny in their 6 week Board & Train program and just recently brought little B home. We couldn’t be happier with the progress he made while he was there. Benny suffered from a lot of anxiety, Blake’s team completely transformed him into a confident little guy. His socialization skills have improved so much, that the trainers actually have him help other dogs acclimate to playing & interacting with other pups. They call him their ā€œhelper dogā€. We love that!Benny currently attends Train&Play twice a week with the team and continues to grow more and more! Thank you to Blake & his team for helping Benny realize his potential! We are forever grateful!!

Blake and the whole staff at Dream Come True K9 has changed our life with our dog Maya - if we hadnt of found them, we wouldnt have our dog today.Maya is a lab mix we adopted when she was 2 months old, about 4 years ago. Our vet recommended that we keep her away from any socialization for the first month because she was so young and susceptible to diseases, so she was about 4 -5 months before we started taking her to a puppy socialization classes. We started to notice some aggression in her play - she was pinning down other puppies and not letting them get up, so often, the teacher would pull Maya out of play for a while. When she got a little older, around 7-8 months she started showing leash aggression with certain dogs. We went through a multitude of different obedience training programs, positive reinforcements, which I believe was the most damaging for Maya. This consisted of giving her a high quality treat, like salami, every time we passed a dog and practicing avoidance of other dogs. This didnt seem to do much for Maya except develop an expensive taste. Someone put us in touch with a gifted dog trainer who works with old fighting pit bulls, and while he was great with Maya we could see a difference when she was around other dogs, it seemed to only make a difference when we were around him, though he did introduce us to a prong collar which was a huge help with leash aggression. During this time she had attacked two smaller dogs on the street, didnt do any damage, but enough to scare us into seeking a better solution. Finally we met Blake and Dream Come True and Maya spent her initial 5 weeks with them and they explained that she is an extremely anxious dog and when she feels like other dogs arent behaving appropriately, meaning getting in her face, wether it be with aggression or just excited play, she has a difficult time distinguishing the two and immediately reacts on the defensive. That said, she is a very smart dog and loves to work, so learning the shock collar, was a huge gift for her. By giving her a job, like putting her in place or having her hold a sit or down, she began to become a less anxious dog.We had Maya back for about a year, and while she still had some old habits, she was listening to us and was so well trained that most of her old habits were not difficult to anticipate and curb. However one day, my boyfriend was coming home with Maya and a lot of bags in the elevator and he wasnt holding on to the leash tight enough and as soon as the doors opened she leaped on a toy yorkie that was waiting on the other side. The altercation lasted a mere 5 seconds, but it was enough to do some serious damage and nearly kill the yorkie. Not knowing what to do, we turned back to Dream Come True and they took her in indefinitely while we desperately searched for a more permanent solution for her. We visited her as often as we could, working with her and a trainer to squelch her anxiety and work on our skills as her handlers. After 3 months, we decided to try to bring her back, and though I know we a ways to go before we can completely trust Maya, Dream Come True has helped us understand her triggers, become more comfortable with handling her properly and has reversed the damage we may have done early on in not properly socializing her.I never thought Id say this, but she now has multiple boyfriends at the training center and I can see her anxiety melt away when we are there, so I know that if we get better at home with her, she can live up to her full potential. So, if you ever get to a point when you feel like you have no option with your dog, know that you do, with Dream Come True K9. My only regret is that we didnt find them sooner!

Hands down the best team of pros who has changed my whole relationship with my rescue pup. My dog went from restless/nervous and lacking impulse control to a dog who is calm and follows command in any situation (even off leash). The DCTK9 team built my dog’s confidence and his trust, and they helped me better understand dog behavior so that he and I could build a stronger bond and have a good life together. You can tell that the DCTK9 team genuinely cares about helping dogs be their best selves, and I can’t say enough good things about them. 10/10 would recommend.

DCTK9 team are really something else, they helped my dog with aggression/anxiety issues and turned her into a dog that can listen and respond to commands in any situation, even off leash which was unthinkable to me. Besides the tremendous change that my pup had in terms of attitude, the whole team at DCT are so responsive and helpful which was key for me to feel like I was not alone throughout the entire process. Plus, they already know how to treat my dog so I will absolutely board her with them all the time. Cannot recommend enough this team and their services!

Dream Come True K9 is an amazing training facility and structured daycare. Our rescue shepherd was really bad at leash walking and had poor impulse control. Through video and in person training sessions, we got the right tools and exercises to help us and our dog learn how to improve and build good habits. The staff really focuses on your relationship with your dog and how to build on that to improve behavior. Those habits are reinforced when we send our pup to Dream Come True for train and play sessions, and we know she’s getting a great day of structured play when she attends. Lindsey, Blake and Carla have all been amazing and so helpful. We would recommend them to anyone looking for help with their pup!

I cant say enough positive things about the DCTK9 team. When we adopted our Rottweiler/Pitbull mix, Bixby, we boarded him with the team for their long term program to help us tackle his resource guarding and reactivity. Not only did they help us solve those issues, but they also trained us how to reinforce and stay consistent with their training methods.3 years later, we still bring Bix to DCTK9 any time we need boarding. The team has gone above and beyond for Bix and the trainers take care of him as if he were their own.Very strongly recommend the DCTK9 team.

DCTK9 was a really terrific experience. Our dog Rocky spent seven weeks with them for a board and train, needing help with structure, routine, and obedience training, as well as needing help with his anxiety which would sometimes lead to possession and space aggression issues. Hes been back home for almost two weeks now and the improvement is obvious! He follows his commands, has adjusted to his new home life schedule very well, is much less whiny and anxious throughout the day which has allowed by wife (who works from home) more peace while she works, his walks are more structured and his attention on them is better, hes off all his anxiety medications (which he had been prescribed prior to training) and now sleeps through the night without issues! My wife and I became foster parents recently and look to continue growing our family, so having Rocky living his best life was key to this goal (as hes a part of the family too!). Very happy so far with his post-training improvements, well be having a home visit from DCTK9 in about two weeks and were sure hell continue to impress!

I was really struggling with my rescue dog... He displayed fear aggression on the street and I was learning on the go how to deal with it. DCTK9 helped me SO much. Their Board & Train was so beneficial for my dog and for me. They taught me everything I would need to continue working with my dog and explained to me how training works and how much a good relationship matters. They are so professional—every single one of them. Im so grateful to have found them.

This evening we are sitting on the couch while Jinx & Cleo rest together on their mat. We just returned from a nice walk where they walked nicely next to me with only a couple of reminders when tempted to rush ahead. We took Jinx in to meet Blake twice. He taught us and Jinx basic commands and behaviors. This teaching and daily practice has given us a different connection to our dogs with more respect and they are eager to please. As long as we find a way to communicate, they will obey. With two dogs, we were not sure how to approach training. We focused on one so that we could learn but worried the other would be left out. We were able to do the home practice, but she was not getting the extra training. Plus, they both behave quite well alone. We needed a way to work with them together. Blake came to our home and we took both dogs for a walk. With some work they are now able to walk and behave even with a troublesome sibling along for the trip.We have taken some classes in the past and were able to get good behavior when the dogs felt like it. Of course, things were worst during times of stress. The dogs knew what they could get away with. Blake helped us understand the power dynamic we had established. We needed to establish ourselves as the leaders of the pack with higher rank and authority. This is done through space and setting up boundaries. The rules are clearly laid out. This helped avoid the ambiguity that had previously resulted in negotiation and confusion. The entire family is happier now (dogs obviously included). We are going to see Blake for C’s training in a few weeks!

Blake and the DCTK9 team are fantastic! We attend their socialization classes, which have been instrumental in helping our dog learn to relax around other dogs. We also occasionally board him overnight there; he gets to have fun in a controlled environment where he can feel safe. Best of all is the Understanding K9 Behavior workshop that Blake teaches with Tyler Muto. We learned so much about dog training fundamentals, how to use different tools, and how to address a wide range of issues presented by all the different dogs. I can’t recommend the seminar highly enough; we had a blast!

I have no words to describe how thankful I am to have Blake and the Dream Team in our corner. Before I brought Buddy, my one year old pit bull, I could not get halfway down the block without him redirecting at the leash and eventually at me; along with other anxiety issues. The transformation is unbelievable. Blake sets up his clients for success and trains not only the dogs, but the owners as well in continuing the training at home. The knowledge and patience that they have, not only for the dogs but for us as owners, is remarkable and I condemn them for that; because lets face it Im sure as owners we are more of a handful than our pets! =]. With that being said, I highly recommend Blake and the staff at Dream Come True K9 to help you and your pet. Trust me you will not be disappointed.

These guys are the absolute best. We’ve been working with DCTK9 for almost a year now, we started when our puppy was a few months old in the Private Sessions and Board and Train program and since regularly join Train and Play Sessions and they have dog walking too! They’ve been such an important part of our support system with our growing puppy. They’re truly experts and care so much about the dogs they work with.

We were fortunate to find DCTK9. Our Belgian Malinois, Lego completed an 8 week board and train program last winter. He graduated and was welcomed as part of the DCTK9 family. This past summer, we boarded him while we were on vacation. The facility is clean, organized and ran like a well oiled machine. Everyone is super friendly and truly love the dogs just like their own. We highly recommend this place because they are extremely knowledgeable about all breeds and behavior. They have given us the tools we needed to have a happy well behaved dog.

Blake and the DCTK9 team are amazing. Truly masters of their craft. Our boy Bernie is A LOT of dog. We knew that raising a puppy would be a challenge, but we were completely unprepared for Bernies particular temperament. He is a self-willed wild child, and while this can be endearing at times, it also was a major source of conflict and stress. To Bernies detriment, I used Reddit and Positive Only training sources to try and train him, and inevitably this couldnt provide the structure and clear communication he needed. In the house, we couldnt sweep, vacuum, leave him unsupervised because he was constantly stealing things, jumping on furniture, and counter surfing. Outside was worse. He was uncontrollable on the leash, highly dog reactive, chewed through several leashes, and constantly redirected on the handler. He was completely unmanageable for us, and we were torn between finding him a new home or investing in a board and train program. We are so happy we found DCTK9. We can play with him for the first time with structure and rules, we can walk him, and live in the house peacefully. our lives have dramatically changed. And we are learning SO much about dog training. The walk is still a work in progress, but DCTK9 is incredibly supportive and remain an active part of his training journey. I cant tell you the relief of dropping him off at DCTK9 for Train and Play or boarding without fear that hell regress in training or get kicked out (lol). They know him and what he needs, and that is the ultimate comfort. All the staff is so communicative and helpful, Blake, Carla, Nancy, Rob, Lindsey, and the whole team, yall are the absolute best, and we couldnt do this without you! Deeply grateful and we wholeheartedly recommend them to any frustrated, confused, exhausted, defeated dog owner. There is hope!

We were struggling with our 10 month old pup who lacked impulse control, barked like a madwoman in her crate and was leash reactive. After completing a 5 week Board and Train with Blake and his DCTK9 Team, which includes training you the owner as well, its a 5 star rave. I can honestly say Im in love with the adult dog my Bailey has grown into with the help of DCTK9. Now my very tiny Chihuahua Bean is currently under a 5 week program with Blake and his team, so tiny dogs can benefit from awesome training at DCTK9 too!!

Blake, Andrew + the entire DCTK9 team have significantly changed our lives. Ā After our naturally docile English Bulldog experienced a traumatic moment with a stranger on the street, his behavior was forever changed. We visited countless trainers and specialists, most of whom only provided ineffective solutions or in one case the conclusion that he was beyond repair (yes really!). Ā We had lost hope when I had reached out to Blake who spent multiple phone sessions explaining my options and providing advice. After much convincing on Blake’s behalf, I finally agreed to let our boy Herman attend a five (5) week board & train. I’ll never forget seeing a video on Facebook of him listening to commands we never even knew he was capable of understanding. We couldn’t wait to pick him up and see this new dog who was indeed forever changed for the good. Since then, DCTK9 has been our daily walker and serves as our boarding facility when we are out of town. By utilizing them for these services I know that not only is Herman in a safe environment but he is also getting active training while there. I do not have to worry about any ā€œincidentsā€ occurring in my absence since everyone on the team is familiar with how to handle him and his triggers. My husband still can’t get over that while he starts panicking within blocks of the vet, he willingly sprints inside the facility, anxious to say hello and have a sleepover with his ā€œfriendsā€ : )

Simply put; Blake and his team are the absolute best. He offers not just training but literally WORLD CLASS dedication and education not only for your K9 but for you as well. His facility is superb; from cleanliness to layout - his team is hyper responsive; have a question? they have an answer! Overall every aspect is SUPERIOR.Frankly, even if you have had dog training go visit Dream Come True and if you havent run with your K9 to this place; you will not be disappointed. Finally, its been yet another perk and pleasure to become a part of a community that is so supportive.

I have used DCTK9s services both for training & boarding for my dog. It took me a while to find a place & team I can trust to take care of my dog while away but I finally did and can travel without worrying. My dog gets exercise, socializes with other dogs and benefits from a little refresher on his training whenever necessary. Plus I get to see his photos/videos as well. I highly recommend Blake & his team at DCTk9. Just know that in order for them to board your dog, it needs to have attended one their training programs.

K9 Dream Come True was one of the best things that could have happened to me , my husband, and my dog. We adopted our dog, Lucy, three years ago when we were living in Denver. At about two years old, she started being very aggressive towards other dogs. We moved to NYC one year ago and her behavior became exponentially worse. She began lunging and nipping at any dog that would walk past us and she had extreme anxiety - crying, whining, shedding, growling, etc.We started a 5 week course with Blake in hopes that we would get her aggression somewhat under control - or at the least, we could learn how to deal with it in our lives. I never expected that she would completely change for the better.Blake and team taught us how we needed to be consistent and be in control. Once she knew that we would protect her, she could relax and not protect herself. We learned exercises that we do daily to keep her training moving in the right direction. We also bring Lucy to train and play once a week so that she can continue learning and socializing with dogs in a controlled environment.Shes become the dog that we wanted her to be. She has calmed down and her anxiety has decreased significantly. She also listens so much better and is the perfect walker. The team at K9 Dream Come True are brilliant and highly skilled trainers - the best ive ever come by. Every penny weve spent with them has been worth it and Im so thankful. If you have any problems with your dog or want to get your dog started off on the right foot, I highly recommend meeting with the owner, Blake. We are happier little family thanks to him.

Sent our 10 month old, fear aggressive shepherd to DCTK9 over a year ago. Trainers we contacted would not work with him. Others who tried said he had a chemical imbalance - send him back to breeder or put him down. Blake and his team were able to see past the smog of his anxiety to an intelligent goofball who needed consistency. They will love your dog, regardless of history, set him/her up for success, and train you, the owner. Never planned to learn so much about dog behavior, but now that I do, I highly recommend sending all puppies/dogs to DCTK9. You will not regret it.

  • Review 32 (2022-11-05 - Rating: 5)

I wish I could give DCTK9 10 stars. I truly cannot say enough good things about the trainers there and the work they do. I brought my dog to them with serious fear-based aggression/reactivity, severe separation anxiety, general lack of obedience, and a history of bite incidents. I was at the end of my rope, and wasnt sure if I would be able to provide a safe home for my dog & meet his needs any longer. Enter DCTK9 (Sofia and Enola, in particular)! I sent him for a 6-week board and train program, and he came back to me basically a brand new dog. I cried the first time I saw him executing the things he learned with them. Of course, this isnt magic and it also takes a lot of work from owners, but they truly changed my life and my dogs for the better. I am forever grateful!

  • Review 33 (2016-09-05 - Rating: 5)

Blake and his team at DTCK9 are the most professional, interested, and genuine trainers out there. Blake, Andrew and the crew consistently work to make NYC area dogs and their families happier and healthier, no matter what the problem. Ive seen him take in anxious, scared, or aggressive dogs, and can only describe their process as magical. The dogs are treated with kindness and respect, to teach them the right time for play, how to live happily with children and other animals and the best demeanor for a happy and calm lifestyle. Half of the training was for me and my family to learn how to set my own relationship for success. I will take my pooches to Blake and his team for the rest of my life - as he says to me all the time: Bad dogs need training but good dogs deserve it.

Billie was a 2 year old rescue that came to us happy, fun-loving and extremely anxious. She pulled on every walk and lunged (to play) at fast moving bicyclers, and runners. We tried to work on it, and even hired a trainer, but nothing helped.Thank you Blake, and all the people at DCTK9, for making it possible for us to really enjoy our time with Billie . She is now a more confident and calm dog . We communicate much better and with the training she has gotten and the instruction we have received we believe things will only get better and better.

I adopted my dog, Buster, in February. He lived the first two years of his life tied up to a tree in Alabama, so the adjustment to NYC was quite hard for him. Because of COVID, his board and train was pushed back so I did a few virtual sessions with Blake prior to set the foundation. This got him started off on the right foot, and he seemed to hit the ground running! Buster did the 6 week board and train and came back a very confident guy! Since I have picked him up, his confidence keeps increasing. Big noises in the city are no big deal! Buster was also very hand shy and nervous around strangers, but he seemed to immediately bond with the whole team. Now he gets walked every day by Shannon from DCTK9, who is AMAZING. I have also boarded him while away and send him to train and play when I can. There is no other company/group of people that I would trust my dog with. I just wished I lived closer to the center!!!!

  • Review 36 (2023-05-02 - Rating: 5)

I had a wonderful experience. I sent both of my dogs for the board and train. The trainers were very knowledgeable and informative. They made sure I was educated enough to continue training once my dogs were home. I’ve seen such a huge difference in my dogs.

My dog was suffering from extreme anxiety and fear both around other people and on the streets of New York, sometimes refusing to move and with uncontrollable shaking. After her 5 week board and train with Blake and the entire DCTK9 team she has been amazing. They helped her build enough confidence to power through the scary stuff and helped me develop an even deeper and more fulfilling relationship with my little pup. Now shes no longer scared and even thrives around other people and on the street. Thanks guys!!!

I cant recommend Dream Come True K9 enough! I cant thank them enough either. Its a really wonderful, beautiful thing theyre doing, and its immediately obvious that they love what they do, and the dogs they get to work with.My dog, Dingo, just spent 6 weeks with Dream Come True K9 as a board and train. He was there for aggression issues (humans, leash, occasionally other dogs). Despite his small size, it was actually pretty scary for the person on the receiving end. He didnt make many friends in my apartment building. Had he been a bigger dog we would probably have had more serious consequences for his behaviors. He would growl, bark, snap, and lunge at people. Hes also managed a couple of bites. We could almost never walk by other dogs on leash without him at least getting huff. Off leash, if he decided there was a dog he didnt like than he was on the offensive towards that dog. His behaviors came from fear and nervousness, but they were still serious.Blake took his time and gained Dingos trust. He and his team worked with Dingo and built up his confidence. I got to watch his progress through videos that were posted online. I saw Dingo gain confidence, become happier, and have fun with his training. Hes only been home for a few days at this point, but the dog that came back with me is in a much better place than he was when I dropped him off. Ill have an in-home follow up soon, and if I have questions or concerns all I have to do is send an email.I wouldnt recommend anyone else, even if youre just looking for someone who teaches general obedience. Theres no other place to go.

  • Review 39 (2018-10-04 - Rating: 5)

Blake and the entire DCTK9 team are hands down the best in the dog training business! From the stellar customer service when dealing with their clients to the more obvious, results you’ll see within your dog. I live 4 1/2 hours away but when it came to training my dog, the right way, going to dream come true k9 was a no brainer. My dog was never a ā€œtroubledā€ dog but the skill set Blake was able to instill within my dog is what makes my dog so well mannered and honestly perfect (could be a bit biased haha). Nevertheless, I would highly recommend this organization for training your dog, whether you’re having specific problems or just want your puppy to learn the right way, the first time. Thank you DCTK9!

DCTK9 has been an absolute blessing. They have worked with us every step of the way to make our transition from Ohio to New York City a smooth one. With a nervous pit mix who was quite shocked with the city-life, the team at DCTK9 was incredible understanding, and even helped teach us how to better communicate with our dog. They were reliable 100% of the time, sent us texts every time they walked Colbie, and really became a trusted partner to our family. Were incredible grateful!

I started following Blake on social media because my dog was lunging at dogs & chasing after stray cats while on walks. I had attended one of his 4 days seminars and by day 4 I had already seen a huge difference in my dogs leash manners. I continued to follow his advice and started attending his private socialization classes. It was after a few weeks of constant training and improvements with my dog that Blake offered me a job to dog walk for the company and now I am a full time trainer with a well balanced dog!

  • Review 42 (2017-06-25 - Rating: 5)

Its almost impossible to put into words the work thats done at DCTK9. About a year ago we adopted our pitbull Nathan and quickly found ourselves in over our heads. The little guy was friendly with people, friendly with dogs, No signs of aggression and picked up training and commands quickly. Sounds like an easy dog to take care of right? Wrong! He was completely out of control with non stop energy and completely tearing up our life with a lack of focus among other issues. One trainer told us that medication was the only option for him. Another told us that he had to be re-homed because he was a danger to my two other dogs. After a few more trainers we came across DCTK9 and everything changed.Blake, Andrew, Lindsey, Kim and company (Sorry if Im leaving out people) have basically become Nathans grandparents at this point. They constantly guide us and help us out with any issues and the little guy has come a long way. I cant count how many questions weve asked and at NO TIME has the staff ever rushed through an answer. They go out of way to make you feel like you have their complete attention regardless of whats going on. Bottom line is they have gone above and beyond for us and our Nathan. The world of Dog Training can be very judgemental at times but regardless of how many mishaps Nathan has had weve never felt judged or made to feel like we were failures. Blake has done an amazing job in showing us that Dog training isnt perfect and mistakes happen but you just have to keep pushing forward. In some ways it has been a life changing experience dealing with DCTK9 and we cant thank them enough for all that theyve done.

There aren’t enough stars for my rating! DCTK9 is an amazing place! Their Team is super friendly, professional and trust worthy! Their facility is very clean and equipped with security. Toby, our 1 year old Goldendoodle was there for the 6 week program, not for a specific issue, but just to be a better, well mannered pup. Thanks to DCTK9 we get to do things with Toby that we never thought were possible. Off leash play, dining outside, taking him to work, being able to relax while watching a movie! The list goes on! We wouldn’t take Toby anywhere else! Also, knowing we have a place to board him while out of town is comforting! DCTK9 was a game changer for us and will most definitely be for you!!!

Blake and his team are the best in the business. Not only do they educate the owners and train the dogs, they are constantly putting up great content on dog training philosophies. Working with Blake greatly improved Bobas obedience as well as our relationship with him.

  • Review 45 (2016-09-21 - Rating: 5)

I cannot explain how happy we are with Dream Come True K9. Blake and his team have helped our pup, Maggie, an English Bulldog, way beyond our expectations. Before coming to DCTK9, Maggie would barely take two steps down the block. Within an hour of working with Blake, she was trotting around the LES happy as a clam; and now we are able to take her on 2+ mile walks with no issues whatsoever. They have taken the time and care to train Maggie but also to train us to be able to train her! The holistic methods they use are incredible; having watched the transformation of other more reactive and aggressive dogs through their IG and FB pages as well as in person, I can say they perform miracles that other dog trainers can only dream of accomplishing (and many of whom would never take on the dogs that DCTK9 does and have the same success with). Blakes mantra of real world obedience is so simple but so effective for having a fulfilling and fun life with your dog. I cant wait to see what else we accomplish with Maggie in the future with Blake and the DCTK9 team. They have truly change our lives for the better and we owe them a huge amount of gratitude for helping us with Maggie, the energizer bunny of English Bulldogs.

Hands down the best trainer there is. When we had an issue with our pup, Blakeand his team were the only ones willing to help train and rehabilitate our dog(Sai). We went from being scared of having a newborn with a dog that had fear aggression to both our babies (human and dog)being inseparable. We were able to learn how to work with Sai and get him to a place where he respects everyone in the house and makes good decisions when it comes to a toddler being pushy. If it hadnt been for Blake and his amazing team we dont know where Sai would have been now. THANK YOU DCTK9 for always doing and AMAZING job!

Blake and his team from Dreamcometrue/ k9 are the most knowledgable, trustworthy, and professional people I know. I have referred several dogs to Blake that I know needed his help. Not only have the owners been beyond pleased. But they also have been extremely grateful. I would highly recommend Dreamcometrue /k9,two floor state of the art Facility,on the east side of Manhattan. Weve done 2 private sessions at DCTK9 and the difference it made is staggering. Our dog used to be so terrified to go outside she would be and shake and we had to carry her downstairs. Now, she is excited to go for walks and sits by the door when she sees the leash. She pulled SO hard on the leash going for walks were miserable now we do long multi-mile walks because shes right at my side, following MY direction and on a loose leash. I cant recommend this place and all the trainers enough they saved us. They truly teach you how to understand and communicate with your dog so that any problem that comes up isnt starting over, you use the tools and system you already know to tackle it. When new behavior problems arise, we go back to the communication and principles we learned to correct the new problem. I also learned a ton from following them on IG!!

We are beyond grateful for Blake and his board and train program. Our 4 year old pup had paralyzing fear and resource guarding, making it extremely hard to maintain control over him. After 6 weeks with DreamComeTrueK9, our dog’s potential and greatness has been realized. Most importantly our family has been given the proper toolset for success for a healthy, happy life for our adored pup. After 4 weeks of having him home we can now happily say that with maintaining consistency with his routine and enforcing the necessary boundaries, our dog is a new pup. Our bond and relationship with him is stronger than ever.Blake went above and beyond to set our pup up for success. He never gave up on him. His love and passion for dogs and providing a second chance for them is like none other. If you are considering his services for your dog, let this be your call to action - you and your dog’s life will be SO much healthier and happier because of it.

I cannot speak highly enough about Blake and Lindsey Rodriguez @ Dream Come True K9. I live in Arkansas and own a 2yr old Vizsla. Ive followed DCTK9 on instagram for over 1.5 years and appreciated the consumeability of the content they put out.As a pet dog owner and hobby trainer of my own pup, I was able to watch, understand and APPLY their content. I connected with Lindsey regarding the possibility of a shadow program. I wasnt looking to turn over my dogs leash... we were well beyond basic obedience and had established a good foundation... but I wanted more. I wanted to further clarify my communication, help calm her mind at key times and work to build up her confidence. When I asked the average dog trainer for help with this... they looked at me like I had 6 heads. I wasnt asking for a package of sessions... I was asking someone to TEACH ME to TEACH MY DOG for life.Lindsey and Blake customized a week long package, where my husband and I lived next door to them for 7 days. It was an immersive experience that allowed Blake to see the little things... the nuisances that most trainers miss. It allowed him to coach me on timing, communication and body language in ways that you simply cannot do in a series of hour long sessions. My shadow program with Blake is, to date, the best thing Ive done for my relationship with River! In 7 days, I saw incremental changes that (1) made me KNOW I can continue to build on what I learned and (2) support that she CAN grow to be the dog Ive always known was inside her.If you have time time, have established a solid foundation and if you have the desire to bring out the best in your dog... I strongly recommend connecting with DCTK9 about securing a spot in their limited shadow program offering. Thanks DCTK9. We will NEVER forget what we learned!Mandy & Rivs

  • Review 59 (2023-03-15 - Rating: 5)

Simply excellent. We have a rescue dog (mixed chocolate lab) who was previously abused and overbred and she was naturally very scared and skeptical of humans and other dogs. Having tried several trainers to help her, none of it seemed to work till K9 showed up. They’ve been incredible and the change in her is transformational - she’s happy to interact with others and let others touch her (which would never have happened before), co-exists with other dogs, ability to go to the vet, walks amazingly, trained in the house. K9 have been nothing but exceptional through the process with constant communication through out and keeping us up to date with progress as well as continued ongoing support even after we got back. Big shout out to Mitch who has been superb in Ruby’s training and communication and still checks in to see how she’s doing and settling back. Safe to say Ruby misses him. The place is also a fun place for the dogs. K9 take them out constantly to large open spaces outside (leisure and part of training) and there is two large facilities in the lower east side with plenty of space for dogs to play indoors and using that space for training. Ruby got her fair share of excercise and more while she was there for 6 weeks which was amazing to know. Worth following their Instagram page as it gives you a good feel for what the dogs are up to on a daily basis (walks, training, playing). Value for money, having done extensive research, for what you’re getting and their incredible training and what you’re paying, I’d say this has yo be up there, especially with some of absurd prices I’ve seen.

LO V E the team and facility! Cannot recommend them more - would give more stars if I could. I don’t trust anyone else with my dog except the staff here at Dream Come True. Everyone here is friendly, dog-obsessed, answers any and all concerns and questions you may have, extremely professional and They. All. Know. What. They. Are. Doing. My dog’s behavior has improved immensely (with consistent training on my end too) from a couple private lessons and Train and Play twice a week. He used to be leash reactive and is much less so from the exposure and time spent with other dogs at the facility. He has pretty bad separation anxiety, but when I drop him off he rarely ever looks back when I hand the leash over. Safe to say he’s pretty pleased with DCTK9 too.

Such an amazing group of people, who do wonderful things for dogs and their owners!! We brought our 5 month old puppy, Bauer to a 3 week board and train to build foundations for life. It was a game changer! They taught Bauer how to take commands and they taught us how to command Bauer. They also taught Bauer how to walk on the busy streets of NYC. Carla and Blake were sooooo patient with us, when we struggled with instructions. They would answer emails with questions, take frantic phone calls with questions and eventually came for a private session. Not for problems with Bauer but with our own confusion about certain commands and behaviors. Bauer is now a well adjusted member of our family because of DCTK9. His training allows him to travel with us most places, which is a pleasure. When we can’t take Bauer with, he is a member of the DCTK9 family and they welcome him at the center for boarding and stay and train. We love DCTK9! I give their name to everyone who is in need of a great trainer in NYC or has a dog who could benefit from the structure DCTK9 offers. These people are amazing!!!
