Nice park on the East side of Manhattan facing astoria queens and roosevelt Island. Park has plenty of benches facing the east river, the views dont disappoint. Park is very dog friendly with its play area for small puppies. Park also plenty of grassy are to lounge around with friends and family. Theres also a nyc ferry stop at the north end of the park. Definitely worth visiting. -

Nicest park in Manhattan, I think. Very well maintained. There are pickle ball courts, a dog run, public bathrooms, plenty of places to set up a chair and chill and beautiful views. If you take the ferry to 90st, the park is right there. This park is definitely worth going on a nice day. Bring a sandwich and enjoy your outing. -

What a great view while you walk, run or walk your dog. See the pics for yourself. -

Small dog side - a little on the small size but still good, water is available, not a lot of shade but nice views for the pawrents. Have visited 3 times and have not had any issues. The only negative thing I saw on my last visit was that someone had not cleaned up after their dog. -

Carl Scurz is our local goto. Providing a rare opportunity to allow for off leash exercise as well as a little dog socializing. The area is well maintained and equipped with benches and water for the puppies. Ample of space to allow the critters to stretch their legs. Some vigilance is called for. Not all owners are responsible and can lack dog husbandry. Overall it is a much priced, free, treasure of puppy heaven -

Great place with views of the river and bridges. Plenty of seats in the sun and shade, very nice dog park and a 3 courts for pickleball and a basketball court. Lots of birds that will appocach you since they get 3 square meals by hoomans on the regular . Very nice area for a stroll or for jogging. -

Nice place to bring your 4 legged loved ones 🐕 for a walk or run! Great place to spend time with family, friends, kids and kids at heart! A long stretch of concrete pavement along the East River and a view of Roosevelt Island and lighthouse. Your choice of activity. -
Review 9 (2022-07-16 - Rating: 5)
Great dog parks! Love the bigger dog one best. Clean and has a hose for water in the summer. They can definitely get dusty playing, but it’s worth it with the space they have to run. My little guy loves it! It’s also along the East River and nice to take a walk up there afterward! -
Review 10 (2023-11-19 - Rating: 5)
The Little Dog Run at Carl Schurz can be just the best! However, I highly recommend that you keep a close watch on your dogs because some owners are super negligent! Accidents happen! My dog was attacked due to an owner not watching their dog. -

Carl Schurz Park is an awesome place to be in your free time. Spacious enough for every activity. My favorite place to be is the pickleball area. -
Review 12 (2021-05-11 - Rating: 5)
We go to the small dog run (dogs 25lbs and under). It’s nice because it’s paved so our dog doesn’t get as dirty, and it has a nice view overlooking the east river esplanade which is particularly nice on summer nights at sunset. Sometimes people bring in dogs that are a bit too big, but overall it is usually kept clean enough and people supervise their dogs well. -

A small park on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Beautiful gardens, lawns, playgrounds, and the East River walkway next to it. -

Review 16 (2024-05-25 - Rating: 5)
This community dog park is adjacent to the waterfront trails on the East River. It was quite busy with dogs that were playing together quite well. -
Review 17 (2022-03-18 - Rating: 5)
Great place to have some fun social time with your dog. They have a small size dog run and big size dog run which is nice. -

Review 19 (2023-05-08 - Rating: 5)
2 good dog parks here for big and small pups! Theres thankfully lots of space to run, but when they do they get real dusty and it really shows on my black Giant Schnauzer... she looks like a salt n pepper GS after leaving here. Overall, great spot, great location, and awesome community of dog lovers checking in daily here on dogpack. It makes it so much easier to know whos there, that I just rely on that. -

Oct 12th 2024, the weather was glorious!!! -
Review 27 (2021-11-09 - Rating: 5)
I love taking my small chi-pom mix here whenever its not completely full. She gets to run around and get her energy out. My only warning is to be careful. Because a lot of people put their 3 yr old or younger children in the small dog run and dont join them. So you have a child running around with the dogs on hard concrete and their parents/care-takers are not even within walking distance. -
Review 28 (2024-04-16 - Rating: 5)

Review 30 (2022-03-31 - Rating: 5)
A place to see and be seen. Very conscientious owners ensure the area is pristine and there are ample opportunities for the well behaved canine to frolic and run out of steam. The small dog area is a beehive of activity and the large dog one lots of running in circles and catching balls. -
Review 31 (2024-06-04 - Rating: 4)
Good dog run. Lols of dogs there to play with. Great views of the East River. -
Review 32 (2022-09-18 - Rating: 5)
The dog park, especially the one for petite canines, is like a beating heart; the promenade is only missing the lawlessness of human statues and tarot card readers at dusk (but, in liue of recent memory, understandable). The Mayors mantion is, like: Dis park is none of my effing business); the conservancy is kind, dedicated, passionate and welcoming ... rolling pedestrian hills and yoga for babies ... everything a public park aught to be (just scratching the surface -- cause theres all manner of nautical activity to unwind to, too). ♡♡♡ -
