We’ve been using NYC Dog Walkers for a couple of years now and have had a positive experience. Our dog walker is professional and reliable, and our dog is always happy to see her. The company is clear about their policies, and responsive to emails. I’m writing this review today because this morning as I was leaving a note for the dog walker about some things happening with our dog this month, it occurred to me how lucky we are to have no worries about who our dog goes out with during the day.

I started using NYC Dog Walkers in August 2023 after I broke my ankle and wasn’t able to take my dogs for a walk. I’m not sure if you’ve ever had an injury that caused you to be non-weight bearing, but it can be very stressful. Our dog walker (Lisa), gave my dogs the ability to enjoy daily walks, something I was unable to do. They were so excited every time she walked through the door, so much that they even came to learn the phrase, “Lisa is coming”!Paul (the owner) is very quick to respond to requests, and it is evident that his company prioritizes its clients and their satisfaction.I highly recommend NYC Dog Walkers. My dogs have made a lifelong friend- thank you Lisa!!

My dog has been walked by the team at NYC Dog Walkers for just over two years now. Paul Columbia, the owner, and his daughter, Kate, provide a great, safe, and reliable dog walking service all over Manhattan. The walker comes promptly at the same time every day and always leaves a nice note letting me know how the walk went. Paul and Kate are always very responsive if I have any questions or need to cancel a walk for some reason. All of the walkers we have had the pleasure of working with have been knowledgeable and, most importantly, loved dogs. I would recommend NYC Dog Walkers to anyone!

Ive been a using NYC Dog Walkers for about two years. The owner, Paul, is a fast and reliable communicator, and the staff of walkers have been kind and patient, and really seem to care about the animals in their charge. I have a particular and sometimes challenging dog to walk, and shes only had good experiences with the staff at NYC Dog Walkers. This is a reliable and professional business, and I highly recommend Paul and his team. Without NYC Dog Walkers I probably wouldnt be able to live in NYC with my dog - what more could I ask for?

Love this company!! Our walker Lisa helped our dog Romeo’s separation anxiety so much. Before she started walking him he would become highly anxious when I would leave my apartment and would bark and cry even after I left. Once she started walking him he had something to look forward to in the middle of the day and loved walking with his pack (and I was able to leave my apartment without him getting anxious). Lisa is an experienced dog walker and I felt completely comfortable with our fur baby in her hands. Highly recommend!

Living in the city while finishing Residency was challenging, but Paul and NYC Dog walkers made everything so easy! Paul and his team are reliable, flexible and trustworthy. Paul sets up the services so you have the same person walking your dog at the same time of day so your dog gets into a routine. His prices are competitive and I couldnt speak more highly of the company. Definitely go with NYC Dog Walkers- you wont regret it!

Our overall experience has been wonderful, and I would highly recommend NYC Dog Walkers to anyone wanting a top notch dog walking experience in Manhattan. We have been using this service for the past 4 years and in this time we have had 2 regular dog walkers. In between our first dog walker, who we had for two years, and current dog walker who we have had for a little over two years, we had had two walkers who each lasted about 2 weeks. One person couldn’t handle the all of the walking and the second person had a tough time with the cold weather and snow. Although these two people didn’t stay very long, they were both very nice and did an excellent job. For anyone who hasn’t employed a dog walking service before, two dog walkers in four years is an outstanding track record. Before hiring NYC Dog Walkers, we had previously employed two other well-known services, and every week or two we had a different dog walkers coming into our apartment. Relative to NYC Dog Walkers performance; our walker Matthew comes at the correct time, genuinely loves our two Golden Retrievers, always takes a little extra time to check to make sure water bowls are refilled and gives our pups little organic treats before leaving and going onto his next dog walk. Jane our first walker was in her early to mid-20’s, as is our current walker Matthew. Both Jane and Matthew are recent college graduates with degrees in the fine arts, and from our observations, and from what our pups tell us, both are very capable and very experienced handling dogs. All in all, NYC Dog Walkers is a very thoughtful and very well run service. They deserve a lot of credit for doing an outstanding job. We have had a wonderful experience and so have our dogs. I recently moved out of state and can no longer use NYCDW. Ive been using NYCDW for over 15yrs. (Paul is the best owner/operator!) My first dog Sasha was a client and loved all of her dog walkers. Bella (my current dog,) has been a client since she was 2 months old. Since I work full time I trusted NYCDW to potty train her, walk on a leash, and be a friendly addition to the neighborhood. Lisa, her walker is the best. Bella is still looking for her everyday to take her on walks. Lisa is trustworthy and had full access to my home. If you are searching for a dog walking service you should absolutely call NYCDW, they are the best and Ill miss them. Bella sends you both hugs and kisses!

Paul Columbia runs a very tight and reliable ship for a NYC dog walking service. I have a 13 1/2 yr old dog with special needs and his walkers who I met prior to hiring Pauls company, go above and beyond to help care for my pup....including hand feeding him when hes not in the mood to eat from the bowl.I like that I know who is walking my dog 2x each day. Its been very organized. Pauls communication, policies, and monthly billing system are also very efficient and clear. I would HIGHLY recommend using NYC Dog Walkers, you wont be disappointed.

Paul/NYC Dog Walkers are amazing! They leave daily notes, letting me know how everything went, and are really caring.My dog was still a puppy when we first signed up for walks, and they were always super patient and understanding with my accident-prone, energetic pup. We had an especially brutal winter and when my dog refused to walk/got too cold, they were kind enough to carry him part of the way or let him have some play-time with his fellow walking-mates.My doormen are always praising how friendly and on-time my walker is.Its also worth noting that Paul is very responsive to emails, so adding another walk in the evening for late-days at the office were typically not a problem. For their price, the quality is really great - highly recommend!

NYC Dog Walkers are the best! They took such good care of our puppy, and helped shape him into the wonderful little guy he is today. They were always on time, and diligent to let customers know in advance when walks would not be available so that we could make other arrangements. I cant recommend this company highly enough, and if we ever end up back in NYC we will be using their services for sure. Our walker, Frankie, was so good to our dog that he was truly sad when we had to move. Keep it up NYC Dog Walkers, and if you are in the market for one, definitely give them a look. 100% satisfied :)

I came across this company, called the number, had a great conversation with Paul about my needs, and had meet and greet set up shortly after. The service is fantastic and my walker is amazing. They really value their clients and the personal touch of having someone I can contact at any time is really fantastic. All in all, Im extremely happy with my choice to use this company.

We initially used Wag for our dog, but grew wary of the service due to a variety of problems. We then researched several dog walking companies and chose Paul at NYC Dog Walkers after our wonderful call with him. He kept it very simple and straight forward. We got to meet our walker soon after getting off the phone with Paul for a quick greet and meet before we could decide to move forward. Of course, we loved our walker John and felt safe leaving our fur baby in his care. John went above and beyond to even wipe our dogs feet after the walks, fill water bowl, and give him a treat :) We are so very lucky to have found this service! Thank you!

I’ve been incredibly happy with the service I’ve received from NYC Dog Walkers. I’ve been a client for the last 9 months.My walker is incredibly thoughtful and responsible – reading her notes about each walk made me feel a lot better about leaving my recently adopted puppy to go to work because she is clearly in good and caring hands. It’s very clear to me that the walker isn’t just going through the motions and that she cares deeply about the dogs she walks and takes her job seriously.Furthermore, I have found that the walker comes on time and walks my dog for the proper amount of time. Lastly, I’ve found the company to be very accommodating with regard to scheduling. On occasions that I’ve been stuck at work they’ve always tried to accommodate requests for extra walks, which is a huge relief.I would strongly recommend their services.

Paul Columbia and his team of dog walkers are really fantastic. First off, they have rules which prohibit the dog walkers from using cell phones which means the walks are for the dogs, not the walkers! Our dog walker on the UWS was Lisa, and during the few times I saw her with our guys, they really seemed to love their time with her. Also, I found Paul to be very flexible and communicative. I would highly recommend this service to anyones furry friend.

Paul and NYC Dog Walkers are fantastic. They cared for my beloved pooch, Betty, for 7 years. During that time we had only 3 walkers (and the same person for the last 6 years). She was walked with one other dog, maximum--there were never any pack walks.Our walker (Corey) was super attentive and always left thorough notes regarding the walk, letting me know if they encountered any problems. As my dog got older, he was patient and walked at her pace and even cleaned up when she had accidents in the house. My neighbors and even the doormen always commented on how much our dog walker cared for Betty.Corey always arrived during our agreed upon window of time (1-2 hour window).He even did overnights if given enough advance notice.Giving someone keys and access to your house and animals when you are not is a scary thing. However, Paul and NYC Dog Walkers earned my absolute confidence.

I used NYC Dog Walkers when I moved my Yorkie from Toronto to NYC. Paul does an excellent job running his business. He spoke to me on the phone for over a half hour answering all my questions, as well as arranged a meet and greet with my dog, Miel, and my dog walker, Corey. Corey was a pleasure to work with. Miel absolutely loved her walks and would get so excited she would actually go and stand by the door around the time of her walk in anticipation. As a sidenote I also noticed a big improvement in her loose-leash walking once we started with the dog walking. Highly recommend.

Ive been with NYC Dog Walkers for over ten years, and 2 dogs. Paul and team are so caring and knowledgeable I am always at ease knowing my pup is in their hands. Consistency is key for dogs and Pauls team is with him for the long term. In ten years Ive had two walkers (the change was due to me moving). My dog loves Corey. So do the cats. In fact they wait at the door for him to return. Im actually leaving the City and Corey will be impossible to replace. On the few days when my usual walker couldnt make it, there was not only always a capable substitute walker available, but their office would send me a full CV over email so Id know who was in charge of my dog. - We had a great experience with Paul and his team walking our Boston Terrier for 3 years-- We have multiple walkers and they all seemed great, professional and Kenan always had a good time with them- Paul is very prompt and professional and works well with a busy schedules (i.e., often helped with last minute walks, change of plans, etc.). He even one time helped get Kenan to the doggy day-care when both parents got struck out of town.- Pricing is reasonable and seems fair relative to the rest of the market; the company takes credit cards and is transparent on costs

I used NYC dog walkers for about a year and a half and the service was nothing short of impeccable. Paul is extremely responsive for last minute cancelations or changes, and is always very pleasant to work with. Ive had many of his walkers handle my dog (who is very old and sometimes stubborn) and they have all been very sweet and patient with her. This is easily the most reliable dog walking service Ive used in NYC and will continue to use it in the future. Highly recommend!
