We have used WagsWest for our dog since she was a puppy and can’t express enough how much we have appreciated this team over the past 2 years!The owners came to our home themselves for our meet and greet and we always had a trusted walker trained personally by them to walk our pup. They’re accommodating for last minute needs, super easy to schedule on the website app, and most importantly, we always felt our dog was in safe hands when she was out on the UWS for walks.We cannot recommend them highly enough!

Wags West have been so great for us and our dog Moose! Our dog Moose receives 1-3 30 minute group walks per week and has been walked by Wags West for over a year now, with nothing but positive experiences.Reasons we like Wags West:1. Scheduling is easy and efficient through their client website. Marixa, Michael, and team are very communicative, responsive, and accommodating if we need to make changes, which is a huge help when our schedules are busy.2. We get a nice email from Mooses walker after every walk that lets us know how the walk went and that our dog has what he needs when returned to our apartment.3. Max 3 dogs per group walk with walkers that are all trained dog-loversThey do a great job and were very grateful to have their trusted care for our dog when we need to be away from our apartment.

The amazing dog walkers from Wags West have been walking our almost two-year old Australian Shepherd, Phoebe, since she was just 5 months old. We are so happy with their professionalism and the kindness that they show Phoebe during her walks. Marixa goes above and beyond to make sure that our needs are met. Phoebe had a nasty bout of kennel cough this fall and Marixa made a huge effort to ensure someone from her team could take Phoebe on solo walks during that time. We feel confident that the Wags walkers are well trained and feel very comfortable having them in our home. Thank you so much to the Wags team for taking such great care of our pup!

Can’t say enough good things about Wags West. Marixa and Michael, and their team have all been caring and terrific with our infamously independent dog. Add to that, they are super reliable as well as flexible, in our case, often with not a lot of notice. Our work schedules can be unpredictable and Marixa and Michael have often gone the extra mile to try and accommodate, including recently finding us a fantastic dog sitter for a last minute trip out of the country. Our dog is always well cared for with them, and that brings with it peace of mind. Highly recommend!

Our walker Angelina is perfect! She is consistent and when we see her on walks with other pups, Ravioli is ECSTATIC, telling me she really enjoys their time together. She asks Ravioli to sit before she leaves after the walks, which has helped solidify the habit for us! A lovely added perk!

Marixa, Michael and each one of their walkers take the greatest care in all the dogs they walk. They’ve been walking our Australian Shepherd Ada for almost 2 years now and we are 100% at peace when she’s in their hands. Ada inevitably comes home happy and tired. Highly highly recommended.

Wags West has been walking our 3 year old dog for over a year now. They have been wonderful to work with! Marixa is a pro at coordinating the schedule and she is extremely accommodating. She responds so quickly to any email and always checks in in advance of holidays. We have absolutely loved all of the walkers who we have worked with, you can tell they really enjoy their jobs! They were also very detail oriented and attentive to our initial intake and wishes. We have much preferred working with Wags over the larger day care-walkers in our neighborhood. We especially appreciate that they dont walk more then three dogs at once and never leave any dog waiting alone on the street, that take our dogs safety as seriously as we do!

If you live on the Upper West Side and are looking for dog walkers, you need to call Wags West! I felt like I hit the jackpot with them. From the first to my last day (Im moving to Florida) they have been completely professional. It started with the first visit by Michael, to my apt to meet Dakota. I could already see that he was comfortable with dogs and knew how to handle her in a kind and gentle way. He answered all of my questions and put me at ease. They showed up every week within the scheduled time frame. Sam was the best and always good to Dakota. I felt very comfortable with him and the other walkers coming into my home. I felt truly blessed to have found them. They set the bar high for looking for new dog walkers when I get to Florida. Thank you!

We first called Wags West because they were highly recommended to us by a neighbor in our UWS building. They have completely lived up to everything we expected - and more. The dog walkers we have had over the last two years have always been thoughtful, responsible and extremely reliable. The communication is wonderful (we get an email about our dog after every single walk) and the love for our dog is very clear. The owners, Michael and Marixa, are very much on top of all of the details from holidays, to billing, to whether or not our dog is acting differently on any given day (they often step in to do the walks if our regular walker is sick or on vacation). I so appreciate their attention to detail and their ability to choose good people. I highly recommend their service!

We were referred to Wags West from a neighbor and we are SO grateful for both Michael and Marixa! They are much more than just a typical NYC dog walking company. They are extremely reliable, caring and professional. They have been walking our Goldendoodle puppy since we got him in October. Our puppy needs special attention due to an elbow issue and Michael has been incredible during the hard time. He has been beyond accommodating giving our puppy individual attention and love while we are working to make our puppy feel better!Nothing but amazing things to say about Wags West!!

I have been using WagsWest for several years to care for my standard poodle, Magic. Michael and Marixa, as well as the entire dog walking team, have been a pleasure to work with. They take loving care of Magic and are 100% responsible and reliable. At times I have had a fluctuating schedule and they have always accommodated my routine, which I really appreciated. It wasnt like that with other dog walking services. I also love the email updates I receive every day after her walk. They treat Magic like family and I would recommend them highly to anyone looking for dog walking.

I cant say enough positive things about Wags West and Michael + Marixa. Upon getting my first dog, I did a LOT of research/interviews for walkers in the UWS and hands down- Wags West is the greatest. From puppy playtime to small group walks, they have cared for Ruby for the last almost 5 years- theyre only walker shes known. All of the walkers are so kind, thoughtful and Ruby LOVED her walks (Special shout out to Tiffany, Matt, Maria). Michael + Marixa are equally amazing and scheduling, last min changes, etc were a breeze. Very sad to leave Wags West, if you ever expand to New Jersey let me know!!

I have nothing but good things to say about Michael and Marixa and the care they take with my current dog, and have taken with my first dog. Everyone they hire has been thoroughly vetted, and they get the nicest, most responsible people as walkers. After each walk I get an email letting me know if she did her business & how the walk went. I have been using them since 2008 & I highly recommend their dog walking service. When my current dog was a puppy & I was unable to walk her, Michael did puppy care with her- took her out more frequently, fed her, and played with her. Was invaluable!

We moved to the Upper West Side five months ago, and found this service online. They have been wonderful. Reasonably priced, totally reliable, with nice walkers whom our dog, a ten-year-old Havanese, really likes. To set up the service, Michael came over to our apartment so we could meet him and he could meet the dog and see our set-up. Since then, they check in weekly about our schedule, and are always amenable to changes when necessary. The walker emails us with a quick report after each walk. Billing is uncomplicated. They almost always send the same walker, and let us know if theres a change. They have a useful website on which everything can be managed and tracked. All in all, we have been perfectly satisfied. Great service!

Marixa & Michael have been walking our puppy labradoodle for 3 months now and they are wonderful to work with!NYC can be hard place to have a puppy, as they are not allowed around other dogs until they are 16 weeks old. Michael came by every day, walked our puppy on a solo walk (while still charging the group walk rate), and made sure he was fed and happy.Overall Wags West is friendly, professional, and fairly priced. We recommend them to anyone.

Our dog walker (or sub) always showed up on time and we never encountered any problems. Most importantly our dog Henry was always happy and tired after his walks. Wags West has been providing walks for our sweet poodle mix, Toby, for just over a year now, and they are the best! Before setting Toby up with a walker, the owner Michael met us in our home with Toby to get to know him and determine who would be the best walker. Toby is a bit shy and fearful, and the walker that we were matched with (Maria) is perfect for him and so patient. When Maria cant make it, Michael or his wife Marixa subs in, thus maintaining continuity. Additionally, Toby is usually either walked alone or with maximum 2 other dogs - so no huge herds of dogs here. Finally, we get an email report after every walk so we know if Toby did #1 and/or #2, what time he went out (you choose a 2 hour window), and any concerns. I cannot recommend Wags West strongly enough!

Before the pandemic, Wags West cared for our senior dog Frank for a few months. Their service was excellent! We are always nervous leaving him with someone as he is frail and has some mobility issues. They were reliable, honest and always took great care of our old guy. Highly recommended.

Michael and Marixa at Wags West are truly a joy to work with. Weve been using them for a year now, since our mini dachshund, Maisy, was just a puppy. They were so patient with her while she was still housetraining, and now that she is house trained she gets walked with one other dog in our building, which is great socialization for her! They always send me prompt email summaries of their walks right after they leave, which is great because it lets me know (a) what time I need to be home by and (b) what business my dog did! They are so flexible and have even helped us out with a 2nd walk last minute a few times when both my husband and I were stuck late at work. We highly recommend using them!!

My wife and I moved to the Upper West Side last year and chose the team at Wags West to walk our dog Schubert after reading the wealth of great reviews and meeting Michael for a home visit with Schubert. All of the wonderful things customers have written here have been true for us as well. Michael and Marixa could not provide a better service. They are organized, professional, thoughtful, and so easy to work with. When they do not walk our dogs personally, a walker from their team takes Schubert out, most often with the same, similarly-sized dog, and sends an email with a full report afterwards. When we need to adjust the walking schedule, Marixa responds quickly and has always been able to accommodate our needs (even on short notice!). Michael and Marixa were especially great when Schubert was sick earlier this year. They were careful to walk him by himself in order to keep him and his pals safe, and emailed us an especially detailed account after each walk. It has been a huge relief knowing that Schubert is well taken care of with Wags West. I cannot recommend them more highly!

I am updating and emphasizing my love of Marixa, Michael and the entire WagsWest team (Meg, Rhea, EVERYONE!). Phenomenal, extraordinary, tender loving care for all pets (all of my cats for 20 years).It began when I met Michael on the street walking a dog. I I am a lifelong animal lover, and I am always looking to see that people are caring for and paying attention to their pets, especially on the streets of New York City. Michael was walking a dog and petting him/her and paying attention so completely, it was beautiful to see. I walked up to him and said, “you must really love your dog. That is so nice to see.“ He replied that it was not his dog but he had a dog walking service and this dog was in his care. I was so impressed and asked if he ever cares for cats. He said yes and gave me his information. That was a blessed meeting for me because Wags West has been caring for my cats ever since. They have always been available when I need them (which has been continually as I visit my family in Florida often). When the team comes daily to care for my cats, they send detailed notes and pictures. It allows me to relax and enjoy the time that I spend with my family or on vacation. It is a gift for me.and they have always been accommodating if I need to spend a few extra days away from home, I can rest assured that my boys are very well taken care of and loved.I must admit to being jealous more than a few times because my boys Tessio and Santino obviously love Meg, Rhea, and the rest of the team so much! The pictures are an absolute joy. I am a very big fan of Wags West.

It was so reassuring knowing that Tito was being taken care of by people who really cared about him. It was such a relief every day to get the email updates and know that he was ok. We could not have asked for a better dog walking group. Our dog, Vega, was having a lot of difficulties adjusting to life in the City when we moved from Seattle. The group was very patient with him as he settled in. They are very detail-oriented and super knowledgeable about how to care for dogs. Our anxieties were high when thinking about leaving our dog to be with a dog walker when we went to work, but they made things so easy. Because of how good of a job they did, we were able to transition our dog well to boarding and going on walks with other groups of dogs as well. The group at Wags West were truly lifesavers and we owe them everything! We are sad to be moving away and wish we could transport them to our new neighborhood. We would recommend them any day and twice on Sunday to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable dog walking service! Our dog, Vega, would agree!

Wags West provided a daily 45 minute walk for my dog for two years while we lived on the UWS, and I always knew that she was as safe as she could possibly be. The Wags West walkers are all terrific, responsible people and everyone at the company, including the owners Marixa and Michael are very communicative and helpful. I loved getting post-walk emails at work to know how the walk went and what my dog was up to. The only reason we stopped using Wags West was because we recently moved to Brooklyn; otherwise, of course I would have stayed with them forever!!! Five stars aren’t enough for the peace of mind they brought me and the joy and love they brought to my sweet dog.

This is a great company! They walked our adult vizsla for well over a year and every walker was well trained and extremely patient with our dog, who isn’t always the best at letting people in the apartment. Through their patience our dog became extremely welcoming and was even excited to see her walkers! If you’re looking for a reliable and trustworthy dog walker on the upper west side I cannot recommend Wags Wear enough. They were also extremely convenient and flexible when it came to pay and communicating when you needed to cancel a walk, which took away any added stress. I would definitely recommend them!
