Amazing little experience where you get to place a brunch order, then play with a bunch of adoptable cats and kittens! After your time is up with the cats, you come back to the cafe and your food is hot and ready. Overall a very chill and fun experience, would totally recommend! -

We stop here every time we visit NYC- the coffee is good, but we come for the cats. Were always happy to spend some money to support the adoption of the kitties. Make sure to make a reservation if you want to visit the cats! -

First cat cafe experience. Cats were so cute. Loved spending time here. They sell water, tea, coffee, beer, wine and sake, as well. Staff not too friendly but they weren’t rude either. Overall it was nice to spend time with these sweet babies -

Koneko Cat Cafe in New York is a delightful experience for cat lovers. The staff is exceedingly friendly and welcoming. Upon entering, you are greeted by a charming coffee shop at the front. Moving to the back, youll find the cats residing in a cozy area. Theres even an outdoor section for the cats to roam freely. If you venture downstairs, youll discover a section with a TV monitor providing detailed information about the resident felines. Although there is no waiver required, the staff excels in being informative and caring for the cats by explaining the rules. The rescue cats are very sweet, adding to the overall enjoyment of your visit. -

Made a quick stop to Koneko Cafe. I ordered an iced strawberry matcha latte and it was better than what I expected, the balance between the sweetness of the strawberry and the matcha was perfect. To experience your coffee in the cattery a reservation is required in advance. Overall 4 star experience. -

Surprisingly spacious cat cafe with a whole outdoor catio area! Its also super clean and well kept. The cats are adorable too of course. -

Great place for therapy. There were 16 there during our visit, they play and love to be petted even when sleeping. Staff are so friendly, educational and informative, coffee is good, just a nice visit with a great idea to rescue cats. We were impressed 👏. -

My daughter had been begging me to take her here. Super cute cat hang out. It’s so nice that they have indoor outdoor areas. Our food and coffee was delicious They did require an appointment appointment, so make sure to book before you go. -

Enjoyed my stay there with my boyfriend. Cats were cute and full of personality - quite a few there so we never felt overcrowded by other guests. The environment felt a bit sterile - not exactly cozy - but I’m sure that makes clean-up a lot easier. When we arrived there were no snacks left at their cafe, so I can’t comment on the pastry -

When Im in the mood for something out of the ordinary, I scout out places that offer unique experiences. This time around, I hit up a cat cafe where I ordered a coffee and paid $25 for an hour of quality cat time.• The place had both an indoor and outdoor playground for the feline residents.• We made a same-day reservation.• There were adult cats lounging about, not super playful but just living their best nine lives - trying to snag birds and soaking up that vitamin D outside. Every now and then theyd mosey over to the humans and let us pet them or play with a toy.• You can actually adopt the cats from this place too.• The coffee was solid, but they could probably up their game with better food and snack options.• Overall though, I really dug the whole concept. -
Review 11 (2023-07-03 - Rating: 5)
The cats are so cute and chill. Most of them are used to being around people so you can pet them at ease but there are some that are spooked out so don’t try to bother and scare them. You’re not allowed to pick them up unless you’re the staff, which is understandable. It was pricey though for the hour reservation, fun experience nonetheless. -

This is such a chill cat cafe I’d definitely come back with friends! Staff is so friendly and the cats are all rescue, and up for adoption. COME GUYS 😎 -
Review 13 (2023-12-11 - Rating: 4)
One of the cutest cat cafes in new york with plenty of cats to play with and pet, you need to make a reservation to enter the cat rooms and its 25 dollars per person, so alittle pricy, but was an very cute experience. The thing is, its very busy in their, so maybe two people per cat, quite a lot of people on the lower level. The matcha latte was also really good, I recommend getting one before going in. Overall a fun experience, but sorta crowded. -
Review 14 (2025-01-05 - Rating: 5)
Good! You need to make a reservation to enter the cattery, and do it upfront or you might not be able to go see the cat. They are well treated and you must go in their private area shoeless and only a few at a time to respect them 😊 -
Review 15 (2023-07-08 - Rating: 5)
I absolutely love this place. They have cats !!! Well thats to be expected its a cat cafe after all. I havent tried their food yet but the cats are adorable. We went around 5 so it was after lunch time and most of the cats were lounging about but they will show that theyre open to being pet. I relate to the one named Bob the most LOL.You should reserve online just in case but they do take some walk-ins if the slots arent booked. $20 for an hour which isnt bad considering you get to play with the cats and the employees were really nice, telling you which one is attracted to what and each cats names. -
Review 16 (2024-10-26 - Rating: 5)
Had a great time w the cats here. I think the people who commented that they didn’t have a good time with the cats probably just didn’t know better about the nature of cats. Older cats are less active and playful than kittens. It also just takes time to build trust with cats. Cats also tend to nap more in late afternoons. I went there at 1pm and most cats were still awake. The cats seem well taken care of. You can tell the cats trusts the staffs. The outdoor area also really gives the cats some fresh air and more entertainment. The cats seem to enjoy sunbathing in the outdoor catio or just watching leaves falling and playing with them.I hesitated to come here reading some reviews about guests mishandling cats without any staffs stopping them. That didn’t happen during my visit. I’d be upset if it did though. But at least for this visit I had a good time and will come again to support the good cause. -

Cute place to chill and hang out with cats. The staff were friendly. There were lots of cats just dont expect them to be cuddly. They are mostly in their own worlds being cats. The front section has a variety of coffee and tea options. -

I love cats, and by extension, cat cafes. Entry is discounted on Wednesdays ($15/p). Arrive on time to enjoy the whole hour!Cafe has 3 floors and many many cats. Some of them love playing (toys provided at the cafe) and some others just like chilling. You can pet, but respectfully. You cant lift the cats, as tempting as it may be.One thing I liked about this cat cafe is that their cats are actually adoptable, and their cafe serves as a place to interact with a cat that you might be interested in adopting. We didnt try any drinks, but apparently you can bring them into the cattery (at your own risk, cats will get curious about your sweet drinks). -

Review 20 (2024-05-18 - Rating: 5)
The kitties are soooo cute, there’s so many and they have such a large space to play and get away from humans if they need to. Also they make a mean match latte. They also have a book you can draw and add a note to which has some hilarious pictures in it. -

Such a wonderful cat Cafe. The food was good but a little basic. The Cats however were incredible I wanted to take them all home with me. I admire the work this Cafe is doing to find these kitty cats their forever homes. I want to go back soon with my daughter. -

Interesting experience in this unique place. The cafe part is separated from the cat area.If you decide to enter the cat area, you ll nee to take off your shoes, wear clean slippers ( provided). Its two floors and the cats are wondering around freely.Friendly staff, joyful atmosphere. -

It’s a fun place. You can order drink first and bring it in to the room. You can hang your jackets and have to take off your shoes. When you get into a room there’s down stair too. Beverages were good and playing with cats were really fun. People were nice too! I recommend you if you love cats!🫶🏻🐈🐈⬛ -

CAT CAFE!A cafe and also a cat adoption centre. To play with the cats, its $20 an hour. Its located behind a glass mirror at the end of the cafe.Staff are just AMAZING PEOPLE! Super sweet and friendly and you can feel their love for the cats. Before entering, they will brief you on all the protocols. Everyone was wearing a mask and the place is spotless!Did not order any food as we came after dinner but the cakes on display looks amazing! If you love the cats, you can fill up an adoption form after. The staff are a wealth of knowledge if you have any questions. If you wanna adopt or just want to play with adorable friendly cats, this is the place for you! -
Review 25 (2022-06-09 - Rating: 5)
Very cozy place. The staff are very nice, and the cats are just adorable. Whole cafe is cat themed, and theres about 20 cats around the establishment. A few of them are grouchy, but they’re friendly for the most part. Food was mediocre, the focus is more on the cats. -
Review 26 (2023-08-05 - Rating: 4)
Adorable and docile cats who are all up for adoption! lots of comfy space for the cats to play and explore although no actual café seating in the cat area. Ive been to 3 cat cafés in London and this one had some of the most chill cats Ive seen. however all the food and drinks were quite expensive ($9.50 for a pot of tea!) and none of it was included in the entry price so didnt get any. go on a Wednesday for $5 discount, and try and go either morning or late afternoon/evening when the cats are most active. -
Review 27 (2020-02-22 - Rating: 5)
This place is awesome! Love the cute cats you can adopt. The cats are friendly and cute and super adorable! This place really loves cats and they take care of them so well. The cafe is clean. Great food too. You can eat it in or outside the cat petting area. This is a great place to check out in the LES area -

Adorable Cat Cafe, the likes you rarely see outside of Japan. Cafe is cute and cozy with a nice atmosphere, and the cats are on three levels for your enjoyment. If we could have adopted any we would have (live across the country) but our 8 year old who watched Japan vlogs with me was absolutely infatuated and excited to be there. -

Lovely cats! my friend and i ventured into this establishment for a beautiful evening full of kitties and food, and boy did we sure receive that. there was not one, but THREE different areas to frolic with the cats in, and the food/drinks were delicious. wonderful cats! glorious okonomiyaki! very friendly staff! i shall return! -
Review 30 (2023-09-02 - Rating: 5)
This was my first time visiting a cat cafe and it was amazing!! There are three rooms (one outdoors) with lots of friendly kitties. It takes a little bit of time for them notice and be comfortable with you but once they are, they will play and snuggle with everyone. -
Review 31 (2022-06-22 - Rating: 4)
If you are an avid lover of furry friends and cute cats please look no further than Koneko. This cafe offers food and drinks in the outside room but inside the back is where the fun is at. There are an abundance of cute cats whom can be adopted if you fit the requirements. To see these cats, you would have to make a reservation for a timetable. Most of the time it’s flexible. These cats are very cute and sociable. It is so fun to play with them and pet them. However since many of them have just came from the outside, some may not be too friendly or would sleep all day. If you would like to adopt a cat please come to visit. The workers are all nice and loving people too! -
Review 32 (2023-02-19 - Rating: 4)
The cats are on the younger side as most are 10 months old. The cats on the 1st floor are very energetic and toy-friendly. The ones downstairs are a little bit older, not much, and tend to be more chill and laid back. Regarding food, the okonomiyaki was well-seasoned but thinner than regular ones even though the price is similar so I took a star off. I liked that they had alternative milk options for lactose-intolerant customers dor drinks. -
Review 33 (2023-09-10 - Rating: 5)
Their home made pies and cakes are the best! Very hospitable and professional staff. You can book a meet and greet with the cats in a separate room and patio. -
Review 34 (2021-12-12 - Rating: 5)
This cat cafe was amazing!!! The cats are so cute and sociable. They have places to lounge with the cats and they also have a nice outdoor area! For lunch, my friend and I got the okonomiyaki, the veggie gyozas, and the chocolate cake, and it was all really yummy! The chocolate cake was especially decedent. We also got a latte and a hot chocolate, which were delicious. The barista who was working was super sweet and talked to us about the cats and the cafe in general. I don’t know her name but she was awesome! I totally recommend checking this place out, it’s very peaceful and nice. -
Review 35 (2021-09-07 - Rating: 5)
A great experience for those looking to spend time with about 20 cats up for adoption before picking a drink and item for lunch. The brunch was a great and fairly priced. The cats were all types of characters. Go before the 1pm slot in my opinion as they were a bit tired out. -
Review 36 (2022-03-07 - Rating: 4)
This is a great way to zen out for an afternoon. There are no kittens here just fully grown cats but they are friendly fun and a ball of laughs. You can pet and play with almost a dozen cats for an hour. If your not allowed to own or thinking of adopting I highly recommend coming here. On top of the cats they have a great little Cafe with matcha choices. Parking can be a pain just be prepared to pay for a meter. Buy your tickets ahead of time as you might not be able to play with the cats as a walk-in! -
Review 37 (2018-01-25 - Rating: 4)
I didnt get any consumables, and the entry fee for the cat room seems steep ($20 per person--regardless of age or time spent), but the look on my daughters face was worth it. Food and drink are allowed in the cat rooms, and they offer adoption at a reasonable fee ($125). All cats are spayed/neutered, and have had all of their shots. -
Review 38 (2022-01-25 - Rating: 5)
Huge hit with teenagers- adorable cats available for adoption. They are well socialized, and some are playful. Not as engaging as I had hoped but a few cats had a playful personality. Cafe staff was wonderful and the food was delicious! -

The place is a cat heaven! I love the place so much! The cats are so cute and Wonderful, the staff are really nice too.I really fell for a black cat named Seitan, the food is also great, I had the okonomiyaki (it was really good) and matcha latte while my friend got the same drink and peanut butter miso cookie which is just chewy and delicious! -

Kitty!!! cats are cute and food is good, so this was SO worth the 5 hours on the train to get here.I cannot stress enough how cute these cats are, though. I just wanna squish their lil faces!! but when I got home, my own cats kept looking at me like I betrayed them. -
Review 41 (2022-07-05 - Rating: 5)
If you love cats this is the place for you!!! A little cat cafe who give a last home to a rescued cats whos searching a home. You can enjoy a little time with them, pet and play with them (And adopt them too if youre interested), or just enjoy their vibes and relax, you can have a drink in the space where the cats are. Theres tea and coffee and other things that youll enjoy. Two important things: you need to do a reservation in advance (1 hour or more, if you want) in Konekos webpage, and remember that cats are not like dogs, give them their space and let them to know you. Ill surely come back! -

Very lovely place, we got the brunch deal which came with a breakfast item and non-alcoholic drink plus a one hour reservation with the cats. There were several cats, all well behaved and friendly. The two workers were very nice and answered all our questions. I would definitely go back and recommend to anyone. -

The staff were super friendly they made us feel very comfortable the service was amazing !! And prices are very fair :-) I also recommend the raspberry cheesecake and caramel iced coffee. :-) The establishment is very clean and the cats were super adorable,if you’re a cat person this is the place for you !!! -

Such a cute concept to have a cat café, and the cats are adoptable too!Unfortunately we werent aware about the reservation, but you can reserve a time slot to go into a room to play with the cats! However we got a drink and it was still delicious, with an amazing atmosphere and friendly staff! If you live nearby, they have a card where you can collect stamps (Im assuming) and after a certain amount you get a free drink! -
Review 46 (2021-07-27 - Rating: 5)
Went on a Thursday and they had a free drink special with your ticket to go inside the cat play area. It got a little crowded but all the cats were really chill. I guess cause theyre so used to people. The little patio area was the best place to play with the cats. -
Review 47 (2024-05-19 - Rating: 5)
Amazing experience. We did the 1 hour cat nap and although most kitties were sleeping, a few of them were eager to play. A must do for cat lovers! -

Review 49 (2019-07-26 - Rating: 5)
This place has amazing coffee and the barista was super friendly. The cats are sooooo adorable and friendly, and they each have their own little personalities. Theres several rooms to roam, including an outdoor space. There are also tunnels through the walls and floors so the cats can move around uninterrupted. Its so beautiful and a necessary visit for any cat lover. -

If you love cats and havent been to this place your missing out. The cats are so sweet and filled with personality. Everywhere you look there is something related to cats 🐈 which is such a treat. Will definitely be coming back sooner then later. Thanks for hosting me and my family -
Review 51 (2024-06-20 - Rating: 4)
I have been interested in visiting a cat cafe for quite some time and decided to visit this establishment. When making my reservation, I observed that the majority of the cats were asleep, which was unfortunate as it limited the number of cats available for interaction. Furthermore, the cats present were primarily adults, and I did not observe any kittens. The allotted time for the visit is one hour, and I found that towards the end of the hour, the cats began to awaken and exhibit more playful behavior. However, this period of increased activity was insufficient. If I were to visit again, I would likely make a reservation for an earlier time. Additionally, it is strongly recommended to make a reservation in advance. -
Review 52 (2022-09-10 - Rating: 5)
Fantastic little cat cafe. great staff cozy cafe . The cat area was 22.50 per person for thirsty purrsday/Friday. There are 3 levels of cat areas, the second level being a backyard catio. -

Koneko is the place to be if you like cats. A rainy day in NYC? Go here. You can see and feel that the people working there love the cats. They keep an eye on them and know everything about them. Such a lovely place for the cats to hang out. Lots of great sleeping spots, but also plenty of toys to play with. Also important, the food is great! Try the gyoza! Absolutely amazing! -
Review 55 (2018-04-20 - Rating: 5)
Very well run and well maintained cat cafe. Its super cute, minimalistic decor but chic. The entry fee is a bit steep I have to admit - $20, but it does go to a good cause. The food is not bad; between my friend and I, we had the okonomiyaki 👍🏼, waffle with fruit 👍🏼, udon 👎🏼 (not enough protein or toppings on it... basically noodles and broth, expected more), matcha latte 👍🏼 If you want to get something to eat I recommend the okonomiyaki the most out of all the choices I had - pretty tasty and relatively filling. The cats are great of course and you can tell that the staff really care about them! I would not recommend this spot for kids unless your kids are acclimated to handling cats/animals gently. Also at the reviews rating it lowly because you have to pay to play with the cats, what do you expect? To play with them for free? LOL. If it was free this place would not be able to stay open, plus this is NYC - nothing is free lmao. Anyways, worth checking out and the money goes to a good cause! The staff are very friendly too! -
Review 56 (2023-03-29 - Rating: 4)
The first time I came in here was not for the cats. Its that chai that they make in house for their chai lattes. If the door is open, the smell makes it all the way to the street. OMG - if you dont see the kitties and relive your Tokyo Cat Cafe dreams, get the chai latte. 😸Its a chill vibe here. You will need to reserve your cat visit but walk-ins are possible (at your own risk). They are quite accommodating here and the staff is always friendly.Worth the visit if you are in the area. 🐾 -
Review 57 (2020-01-02 - Rating: 4)
I wanted to snuggle some cats, so dragged my husband to Koneko... And he loved it, even though hes a biiig dog person. When you enter Koneko, you can order at the bar from the menu and based on how busy the place is, you can wait for your order or you can go inside the area with cats and they will let you know, when your order is ready. The entrance fee was around $12 per person for an hour and the cat area is divided into three rooms, one is outside area, thats closed during winter. When you enter, you get stamp on your hand and slippers, you can also bring along your drink. Theres plenty of cat toys and cats to play with, some more shy that others, so you have to be patient. The lady taking care of the cats was veeery talkative, which is not a bad thing when you want to get some info, but we just wanted to relax in company of those fluffy beans. -
Review 58 (2021-03-11 - Rating: 5)
Really nice space with two rooms and an outside area for the cats to play and relax in the sun. Chill kitties and friendly staff. It took me about 30 minutes but it seems I made a friend. Its very important to remember that cats are independent creatures with their own wants and needs, they dont know you paid money and they are just living their lives, not being there to entertain you. Dont impose yourself on them and watch their behaviour; you can tell when a cat is playful or friendly.P.S. the cats caretaker told us that 6 animals were adopted the previous week, which is amazing news! -
Review 59 (2022-07-22 - Rating: 4)
We visited the cafe a rainy July day. The cats are cute and staff kind. If you love cats and want to spend time witb them this is your place. 20 usd entrance fee seemed overcharged, however the childre really liked it -

My husband’s a huge cat person and I’m not as much. This is the perfect compromise. We’ve been here 4-5 times the past 3 years and it’s always been a great experience. The staff is very friendly and attentive. There’s also lots of space (2 different stories) for the cats to roam around. It’s always clean. They also offer a stamp card for visits and drinks. Drinks are fairly priced. Never tried out the food but there’s always next time! -

SUCH a cute place ! These kitties are obviously loved to the max and are so comfortable and happy- service and friendliness was amazing, Shaquana gave an awesome drink recommendation for my mood and the cattery guides Amelia and Barbara were so enthusiastic and passionate about the kitties life and well being. Will definitely visit the next time I’m in NYC! -
Review 63 (2018-04-05 - Rating: 4)
I and a friend made reservations for 8 pm on a Friday night. We were pretty lucky because the cats started becoming more active shortly after we arrived. There are a few young cats who are mildly playful, but otherwise most of these cats seem indifferent to visitors. They are very much attached to their caretakers and it gets frustrating especially when they move between floors and the cats follow. Ive been to one other cat cafe and the cats there were generally very young and therefore more energetic and engaged. Their diverse selection of pastries looked very appetizing, though I didnt get to try any. -
Review 64 (2021-07-17 - Rating: 4)
Let me talk about the food before i talk about the cats. The food and the drink in the cafe is expensive for no reason and the bake goods taste horrible. like so horrible and its not even worth it. you have to reserve if you want to play with the cats. Theres three floor levels that the cats and people have access to. Some cats are lazy while the other ones are playful. picking the cat up is prohibited, wearing shoes is prohibited (they provide you w inside slippers) and you can take pics and videos but no flash. Dont stress them out, just watch them from nearby and let them smell you first before you pat them. they love their toys! visiting this cafe was worth it. -
Review 65 (2016-12-05 - Rating: 5)
Visited here on a whim during a day trip to NYC and absolutely loved it. I was a bit skeptical at first because I was surprised when the cafe was technically separate from the cat area, but that actually made it even more enjoyable! The cat area was very relaxed, with comfortable furniture and bean bag chairs to sit on while playing with with the kitties. The staff was extremely friendly and really knew the cats - each of them has a backstory/personality that the staff explains to you upon entrance! The cats have a lot of space to hang out in and can move from room to room; theres even a private room for them to go into if theyre feeling like theyve had too much interaction. Its also very clean and tidy - you wear your socks or they offer you slippers while youre inside the cat area to decrease any dirt coming in from outside and they also have you sanitize your hands when you go in. I would definitely visit here again! -

I believe this is the only cat Cafe open during covid in NYC. $20 for an hour per person, which is a pretty good deal and $15 Wednesdays. The cats are so cute and friendly to play with and the staff is very polite. -

Nice, clean, quaint place. $20 per person per hour, except on Wednesdays, 15 per person per hour. The cats were all very cute, 6 to 10 months old. At 5pm, all the cats were sleeping, save for two Grey cats called Tofu and Tempeh. -

Absolutely relaxing place to come for rest. My second time coming here and the service here is always friendly and welcoming. The cats here are also all very friendly and cute. I definitely recommend this place if you looking for somewhere to relax after a long day. Make sure to make your reservations beforehand too! -

A little pricey, but the payment goes towards the care of the cats. I went on a day when one free drink was included with the cat visit, so that was very nice! They had sake, wine, and I think beer as well. The cats were all in great health and the facilities were very clean. I have a slight cat allergy and didnt have any problems while visiting. Cats are adoptable and the people working there are wonderful and very willing to answer questions and provide information. I hope to be able to come back again! -

This place is perfect. The cafe has amazing coffee and tea, and the Cattery is the best place to hang out for any cat lover. The kitties are SO sweet. So many are playful and pettable. Really such a fun experience. I make sure I stop in whenever Im in NYC.Literally the only negative is that I cant take every single cat home with me. -

The atmosphere in here was nice and relaxing to enjoy with the wide variety of adoptable cats! I had a matcha latte and it was nice to be able to bring in while you played. I enjoyed seeing the outdoor patio where a lot of cats were sunbathing or sleeping. Overall i had a very nice experience and would go back again! -

It is very comfortable, but the ground floor is a bit cold, and there are fewer cats, causing everyone to gather on the first floor. The cats are very comfortable and cute. -

You went to Clinton Street Bakery but theres an hour to hour and half wait?! Now youre looking for a cafe to chill in. This is the place to check into. Forget the hip looking cafe across the street- its crowded, youll be hard pressed to find seats, and worst of all its jot and suffocating. Koneko is run by very chill friendly people, they have an excellent choice of coffee/tea/drinks, and if youre up for it, soothe yourself in the cat area in the back (but it costs $20/person per hour). -
Review 81 (2019-06-05 - Rating: 5)
The cats here were extremely cute, soft, and clean. This cafe is well kept and if you don’t enjoy dining with cats that’s okay as they are kept in a different section from the cafe itself. The workers are very nice to their customers (and to the cats). The food served here was beyond my expectations and I will say personally that it is worth every penny.Come here with friends or family if you like a quiet spot, you will have lot of fun here. Trust me.Extra note: I personally like how they allow the cats to be adopted to help them find a forever home and it’s all the more reason to come here and support Koneko cafe. -

The kittens were very well maintained and the caretaker was vigilant to make sure the kittens were played with safely. They were shy little guys, but so very sweet; it was difficult to leave without taking one home. All food and drinks purchased in the coffee shop area are able to be brought in to the “cattery.” We went on a Friday when they have a special that comes with a complementary wine, sake, or beer with a one hour reservation. -

Great place to tale our granddaughter. She loved playing with the cats. To set expectations, it is $25 per hour per person for a reservation to go into the cat rooms and play with them. -

Love the idea of being able to play with the cats and adopt them. Staff was very nice and knowledgeable. Facilities are clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend visiting if you love cats! I guess the only gripe is having to spend 20 bucks just to play with them. Understand it’s a cost needed to keep the lights on but seems a little steep -

If you like cats, this is your place. The staff is super nice and theres two areas to interact with the kitties. They make their own desserts here as well which are delicious. Very good coffee drinks as well. A nice spot to relax. -

Very cool cat cafe. All types of drinks are served, including alcoholic. The staff is welcoming and insightful. Plenty of kitties to brighten up your day! Funds generated through ticket sales go back into the organization to support the kitties. We went on Thursday, each ticket includes a drink of your choice. -

On leap day, I wanted to do something special, so I went to spend time with cats. Koneko café has beautiful cats and kittens, and the place has comfortable seatings while we pet the cats. I really liked it better than Meow Parlor, because Meow Parlor had only low seatings, which were uncomfortable to me.The reason I gave 4 stars is that, later, I bought a slice of carrot cake for $9.5, and after one bite, I returned it to the server because it had too much cinnamon (should be labelled cinnamon bread, not carrot cake). I expected some kind of compensation. Instead, the server apologized that I didnt like it and my $9.5 was spent on nothing there. I was disappointed but didnt want to fuss about it.The latté, though, was very delicious. The whole atmosphere is very nice, so I do recommend it. -

Wonderful Japanese Cat Cafe with many small tables and a cat sanctuary at the back. The matcha latte was very good and the spicy edamame was a wonderful pairing. There were souvenirs available for purchase besides the small menu. The cat experience was $20 per hour but the employees allowed my daughter extra time as they were not busy at the time we went. Would recommend the food and the experience! -

Review 99 (2024-03-20 - Rating: 5)
The overall experience is a solid 4.7/5 but Im going to round it up to a 5.TLDR: the cats are very passive, clean environment, cute adoptable kitties5 star reason: The cats. They are adorable. Theyre all relatively young kitties, and some are more sociable than others. Do watch out for their body language because they are quite obvious when they dont want to be touched. They wont attack you, so dont worry. In fact, its quite obvious that they are very cautious and downright scared of you, but it was cute enough to watch them. The upstairs cattery is very well presented. Theres a homey feel to it, and it was pleasant watching the kitties rest on their cat beds. Most kitties here are either sleeping or observing the main cafe area, which is barricaded from the cattery for sanitary reasons. The middle cattery is a patio, and its closed during the colder months. The walls are high and seems to be able to keep the cats in. There are none of the obstacle courses for cats, probably to keep them inside the patio. The lower cattery is quite bare to say the least. Its a dimly lit room with cafe jazz playing in the background. A lot of the kitties here seem to be hiding in corners or up high. Sometimes you can witness a playfight between littermates or bonded pairs. The cats down here are a bit more active. The only thing I have to say, though, is that there doesnt seem to be great insulation. I saw a few cats huddled around a heater, probably to stay warm. The entire procedure of entering and exiting the cattery is quite well enforced. You line up, enter a room to store and take off your shoes, and then enter the cattery. I suppose this is for keeping the cats away from food and to prevent any pathogens from entering the cattery via our shoe. I think thats a pretty great preventive method. The cafe area is not as much an attraction as the cattery. They offer the standard cafe drinks and some Japanese snacks and pastries. You can bring the drinks inside the cattery surprisingly. -

Delicious tea & cookie! The kitties are well looked after & very sweet! I didnt want to leave! -
Review 101 (2023-12-02 - Rating: 4)
Nice staff, clean spaces but not enough kitties. We came and only 2 levels open (not outdoor area) There were maybe 11-15 cats between the 2 levels but way more people which wasnt the best ratio. Many of the cats were already sleeping or waiting for food ( after we left) so there wasnt as much engagement as we hoped. -

This place is so cute! I wish I could adopt all these babies right up. Ive been here a few times now, its the best when you happen to go when there is not much people because you can get many cats all to yourself. I will say when its busy, it can be a bit hard to have a whole kitty to yourself as you are sharing them with the other guests. Still soo cute overall Im in love! *Editing to include pictures* -

People that care about animals. You walk in and it’s immediately a good vibe. easy check in, nice people, and then you go to the cat room. it’s nice that they have a set list of rules to make sure all the cats are safe. The cats are all rescues and they’re all adoptable. After your hour you can get food, and it’s so good! 10/10 would go again. -

It is a nice, quiet place with unique pastries and drinks ( pretty expensive) but tastes good. The main event, the cats. My opinion is to go early to play with the cats when they are more active. After a while, they become tired and lazy -

I didnt get the food here but it smelled delightful. This establishment has clean bathrooms for you to use but only one per person the cats are incredibly sweet but I recommend letting your kids know to be extra careful as cats in general arent good with screaming kids like the last time I went. They were still sweet though even when they were a bit skittish. I recommend wearing socks since you take off your shoes before going in. They have sandals if you dont have socks. 3 areas total for cats to lounge in although the patio I believe it was called closes when it gets too chilly for the cats. It was a great experience cant wait to go again! -

Very cute cafe! All the cats are lovely kittens looking to be adopted; the croissants here were delicious. All the staff were super gracious and friendly; the only thing Id say is its kind of expensive (both menu and visiting the cats) and it isnt that big of a menu but since they take such good care of the cats Im sure the money is put to good use. -

Extremely clean and well organized. My girlfriend has cat allergies and she was fine. I can’t speak to the food as I was too distracted by the feline attraction to order anything. That being said, the cat area was first rate. We went at 7:30 on a Friday and there was only one other couple present during our time slot, so we did not feel in any way cramped. Most of the cats were sleeping, but what do you expect? If you are looking for a place to get your cat fix while supporting a good cause, I’d 100% recommend Koneko. -

I went with friends to see the cats that you can play with or adopt. We made appointment on line, if you stop without appointment the wait can be long or they cannot fit you in. Weekend are busy. The price was 20 dollars a person. Great experience to see cat closed to adopted or just have fun. We bought the food item we bought at the Cafe in with us. NO OUTSIDE FOOD. We had a great time. -

Super cute cat cafe on the lower east side! I came here on a Friday afternoon because I was feeling kinda depressed and petting cats always makes me feel better. I was able to go to the cat area as a walk-in at 4pm on a Friday but usually they recommend making a reservation. Price is $20 for an hour not including coffee or food. The number of cats vary but when I went there were 16 at the cafe. About 10 or so were out and about that you could see and pet. -

Went for Friday brunch at 1! Busy in the cafe but not bad in the cat areas. So many cute wonderful cats! Food was great—our drinks were excellent and the okonomiyaki was so good. (Chai was perfect, whoever said it was “too spicy” has never had good chai!) Cats were a little sleepy but that’s not on the cafe; cats sleep 14+ hours a day. :P -

Great place for cat lovers! I was taken to Koneko for my 24th birthday! It was such a blast. The food was delicious as well as the beverages. There is a fee of $20 to actually get in and play with the cats but its worth it. It helps support and feed them while you get the enjoyment of playing and entertaining them. There are 3 separate rooms where you can play with the friendly felines. Plenty of space and lots of cute cats to play with. It was clean and organized considering its full of cats. If youre looking to kill an hour or two stop by and check it out. I recommend the waffles! Yum! -

Lovely cat Cafe! Really cool space and really well run. The kitties are so sweet. When they had events I would go all the time. Drang Bingo, valentines day dinner, and a gay cat wedding. The last one ended up being an episode of Cake Boss which was neat I guess! But anyways 10 of out 10. Would recommend to any cat lover. -

Great value for price. $15 to enter the separate cat enclosure which consists of one room on two floors. Id suggest making a reservation but my group and I walked in and waited about 20 minutes for the next entry. The group you along with other visitors so that there arent too many people at once. All the cats were super friendly and some lazy, some energetic. The staff was very soft spoken and generally pretty polite and helpful. They also serve some food but I settled for a cold brew coffee which hit the spot. Definitely going back again because of location, quality, service, and overall a great time!P.S. They also sell kitten chokers (see photos) -

What a fantastic place! We went to Koneko on Whisker Wednesday and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The staff was kind, informative on each cat’s demeanor and personality and just generally great conversationalists. The coffee and food (I got the fruit and honey tray) was excellent. It was a wonderful experience all around and we have a great deal of respect and admiration for a place like this, especially as cat lovers. Kudos, Koneko on a fabulous place for both humans and kitties! -

A lovely cat cafe! They sell coffee and food (coffee was good - not sure about food). They also sell merchandise - hats and shirts, mostly. You pay $15 to spend 1 hour in the separated cat area, which contains 2 floors and a patio. The space is made for cats, but its also quite comfortable for humans. The people inside the cat space are friendly and knowledgeable about the cats, and will tell their stories and personalities freely. You can adopt any of the cats you see! Sometimes they even take cats back from owners - they mentioned 2 cats had only spent 4-6 months with their previous owners before being returned. -

The menu is really limited but thats ok considering the main attraction are the cats. The cattery is really small but the cats were really fun. They were sleepy at first but then they started playing around by the end of it.One weird smell was coming in the last few mins in the cattery. Not sure what it was
