I do not have an easy dog. Hes an Australian Cattle Dog mix, generally uninterested in meeting new people, easily over-stimulated, and intolerant of other dogs coming into his space. Hes been walked by Katie at Big City Woof Walker 2-3 days a week for 6 months now, and Im so pleasantly surprised to find someone who can walk him! My dog seems to truly love Katie, and she has done a great job following my instructions for keeping him away from other dogs and focusing the walks on calm sniffing activities. Even my cat looks forward to seeing Katie! I love the updates I get after every walk, and I also appreciate the focus on safety, with this company requiring a carabiner to connect your dogs harness and collar to prevent your dog from slipping its walking equipment.

My dog Leroy has show huge strides in his reactivity towards other dogs from working with Maren and the team at Big City Woof! In addition to their one on one sessions, Maren has met with us multiple times during the process to make sure the plan fit our needs/expectations and help train us to be a better companion on our walks with Leroy.Weve also had a great experience with using Big City Woofs Regular walking service in lieu of Daycare. The walks provide great socialization and exercise for Leroy and are a great alternative to him going to daycare. The team provides clear updates each time as well as some fun pictures from their walks to look at while Im at the office!Highly recommend this amazing company!

BCWW was recommended to us by our groomer. We are so relieved to have found a team that provides such excellent care for our little guy. I’ve used many dog walkers and pet care companies and never have I experienced such a level of professionalism. Our walker, Charles, is great with Iggy and takes extra care everyday on their walks after we made it known that he tends to run away if he gets out of his harness. The pupdates and photos of Iggy are the highlight of our days when we are at work. The administrative team is also really great, they handle all inquiries in a timely manner and the payment system is easy leaving no uncertainty. We are extremely satisfied with this service and would recommend to anyone in need of pet care. It is really hard to find this level of quality for very reasonable prices and a team of honest people who really love and care about the animals.

We had the most incredible experience with BCWW over the past several years in NYC. Khloe (our 2 year old mini goldendoodle) looked forward to her daily walks and the team took such good care of her. They loved Khloe like she was their own! They were also so attentive to her behavior (always letting us know if she behaved, had a stomach ache, etc.). We trusted them and Khloe absolutely loved every dog walker she had.

When we moved back to NYC I was so nervous about finding a good dog walker, and from all the positive reviews of BCWW I knew it was the place to go to for a multitude of dog services. And Im so glad I did.Tanisha is absolutely my dogs favorite person. The daily pictures I get from each walk absolutely makes my day, and you can just see how much fun they have because Ill mention Tanishas name to my dog and shell bolt to the door thinking shell be there. And Tanisha is so amazing about sometimes coming back with enough time to have some 1:1 playtime, just the two of them. I couldnt have asked for a more amazing person to take care of my girl and Im so happy that I know shes in the best hands.

They’re the best. Were always very responsive and had backup walkers ready to go when needed. Every walker I interacted with genuinely loved dogs and regularly went above and beyond for me. They send an update every day with pictures, a narrative, and info on whether the dog went to the bathroom. They prioritize safety, requiring both a collar and a harness for every walk and connecting the leash to both.

I have had a great experience with BCWW Chicago!! My dog gets regular walks a couple of times a week and our regular walker is always within our time window and my dog loves her!! I have peace of mind knowing my dog will enjoy a midday break and always am so excited to see the pictures and recap of the walk every time! BCWW has always been quick to respond to any questions that I have and have also been great at fitting in random walks when requested. Big City is simply the best, from the team working in the office to the dog walkers. They are amazing and its clear they really care about each dog they work with. Our dog walkers, especially Keyona, really supported our dog, Wally, as he transitioned to life in NYC. He is so much more confident now and loves all of the amazing friends he made through BCWW (the proof is in the photos/videos we receive after every walk, and the conversations we have with our primary walker). Are you looking for the absolute best care for your beloved fur babies? Look no further than The Big City Woof Walker! They are THE BEST! Super professional, organized, responsive, kind, wonderful and every other superlative that you can think of! They make everything so easy and the care they provide for our pups is extraordinary! Grace, our wonderful Pet Pro is SO good with both of our dogs - she takes them on the best adventures. They come back happy and exhausted - and actually wait by the door for her to return! One of our dogs is very anxious and reactive and we have noticed a HUGE difference in her behavior since Grace has been walking her. A total miracle. Chloe and LeAnna are super amazing too - taking care of answering any and all questions, handling scheduling etc. And the app? Well, its awesome! The arrival and departure notifications, the updates with photos, etc. give me TOTAL peace of mind. You will not find a better or more professional pet care service in the city! BCWW has, quite literally, helped me raise my little corgi, Rizzo. I have a full-time job, so I knew from the very beginning that I was going to need consistent, reliable, daily walking services once I acquired a puppy. I reached out to BCWW several weeks before Rizzo joined me in NYC to understand what my visitation/walking options would be for her. As an 8-week old puppy I knew she would be too young for proper outdoor walks, but she would require potty breaks and playtime while I was off at work throughout the day. Dani and Maren (shout out to women-owned small businesses!) were quick to respond, friendly to communicate with and, most importantly, came to the table with several visitation options for Rizzo that would respond to her age, house-breaking progress, vaccination schedule and my work hours. As a SUPER overwhelmed about-to-be dog mom, this kind of preparedness and fully individualized proposal blew my mind – literally. It was exactly what I needed to begin to feel comfortable with the idea of leaving my fur baby home alone in those early weeks. Our plan was to progress from twice daily indoor playtime visits to once daily outdoor walks over the course of 8 weeks with our primary walker, Shannon. I was incredibly confident that this system and stability would give Rizzo all the tools she needed to power through the hours that I wasn’t at home in a positive, stress-free manner – and it most certainly did! Rizzo is a fully house-broken, non furniture-destroying, outdoor-walking machine! Yes, a lot of that training was done by me, but it wouldn’t have happened to quickly or seamlessly if Rizzo didn’t get the consistent encouragement and reinforcement provided by her walking service.Okay, so, by now you guys get that the company is great, but let me take a minute to give her primary walker, Shannon, some well deserved love. It’s hard to put into words how much I care for this human. She has walked Rizzo nearly every single weekday for the past 7 months. Yeah, that’s right. This girl doesn’t miss a beat! She loves her work – and her dogs – very deeply. In so many ways, she has helped me raise Rizzo. She has been there through teething, house-breaking, create-training, allergies, spay surgery – literally. You name the development milestone, Shannon was there taking photos, keeping me informed and supporting Rizzo’s growth every step of the way. Somewhere along the journey we became actual friends, both so prideful in the doggo that Rizzo has grown into. It should come as no surprise that Shannon is now officially Rizzo’s Fairy Dogmother.Alright, alright, I know what you’re thinking. This review is WAY too long. Maybe you’re right, but it’s hard not to write a novel about Shannon and the BCWW pack. And, let’s be honest, if you’re out there somewhere in cyberspace reading reviews because you’re in need of a communicative, caring, reliable, flexible, affordable dog-walking/dog-sitting service, wouldn’t you want to see a 3 paragraph long glowing review about how The Big City Woof Walkers are the family you never knew your needed? We have been using their services for 2 years and continue to be extremely happy with their professionalism, reliability, and responsiveness. My schedule is unpredictable so I regularly ask for last minute walks and they are always quick to accommodate. We have used their overnight stay services as well and have been happy with each walker that has taken care of our dog for extended times. Big City Woof Walker has been a lifesaver for me! My 7 month old Havanese puppy Tallulah absolutely loves all of the walkers - particularly Maddy who is her regular walker. The Big City Woof Walker team are some of the most personable, reliable, trustworthy individuals I have encountered. Considering I am new to having a puppy and am working sporadic hours both away and from home, I was in great need of assistance in caring for my pup. I spent a good amount of time exploring different options for care, and I can say without a doubt that my dog has received all the love and affection needed to make him feel comfortable, happy and loved from both his sitters (when he couldnt walk outside) and walkers (once he got fully vaccinated). Chris, Sophia and Maddy have worked so well with my little guy. They text me updates on him, take lots of photos and give him all the attention he needs which allows me to focus on work. I highly recommend The Big City Woof Walkers. Youll be fortunate to have them care for you loved one.

BCWW is the absolute best. They worked with me to find the right walker for my reactive pup (did two different meet and greets), and my pup now LOVES her walker, Kyra. Kyra is always professional, sends detailed reports and pictures of the walks, and is so responsive and communicative. We are also working with Maren on her Leash Training & Reactivity training program which has been amazing as well. Shes extremely knowledgeable, sends comprehensive training summaries and follow-ups, as well as lots of pictures and videos. BCWW and the team there are the absolute best - I love them and I know my pup loves them as well!

Not just from the PetPros who give daily updates with pictures, but the behind the scenes staff are on top of everything from the schedule to details about your dog’s care. My pup Griffin is my everything and they really get that and treat him with such love and care. It’s been so comforting to know that my crazy boy is in their hands. Weve had such a great experience with Big City Woof Walker. Their walkers always show up on time, are flexible when we have schedule changes and treat our little pup with the best care. We always get a summary of the walk and a picture to let us know how things went. We also used them when we first got our puppy to come over and play with him a few times a day before he got all of his vaccines. They take great care of our little guy and are great to work with!

I have a three year old golden doodle and have tried so many walkers...but I have never been so pleased with The Big City Woof Walkers. I usually have the same walker walk my pup and she knows the routine, but if there is someone new walking her they never miss a beat. My Bernadoodle is shy with strangers (#pandemicpup), and the desensitization work we did with Dani was thoughtful, effective, and tailored to our particular needs. With Danis help, my pup has come incredibly far in her comfort with strangers. Weve also recently started working with Amanda for training walks and group walks, and we love how theyre going so far. Big City Woof Walker has truly been a lifesaver! I am very picky about who I trust with my dog because unfortunately Ive had horrible experiences in the past. The walkers at BCWW are always on time, respond very quickly to messages/requests, send cute report cards with pictures taken during the walk, and most importantly, they are reliable even during the worst days of Chicago winters. Services are very easy to book through their app or online. I appreciate the consistency of having a primary walker, but after meeting several walkers I know I can trust BCWW as a company to provide the top walkers in the city.I came home early one day and ran into Amanda and Dani walking the pack, including my dog. My dogs tail was wagging the whole time and he was happily following Amanda and Dani with such googly eyes that he didnt even notice I was there! On a different day, Katie showed up on time to walk my dog on one of the worst snow days of 2021 and she stayed out in the cold with him for the entire duration. They take the extra time to put his coat and boots on him so his paws are protected from the salt and ice.I am very grateful for BCWW! When I see the notification that theyve arrived to walk him, I know hes running to the door excited for a walk with his friends. Theyre the reason why Im able to focus on work instead of worrying about how hes doing during the day. The prices are surprisingly reasonable for the level of care they provide and I love that they offer pack walks for the added socialization. Above all else, theyre some of the most reliable and trustworthy people I have encountered. I cant recommend BCWW enough and will be a customer as long as Im in Chicago (or New York City)!

As a new dog mom, I wanted to make sure I was setting my pandemic pup, Reggie, and I up for success and that meant calling in the professionals! I am SO grateful we found Dani. Her positive reinforcement training taught both of us so much and allowed us to form an amazing bond! Im about to buy our third round of six sessions and honestly we may just keep Dani on a training retainer for life!Dani helps set expectations (for pup and parent) and is so great at reminding you of the pups milestones. Were currently in the rebellion phase and I know I can always reach out to Dani for random tips and tricks in between training sessions.Weve also began small pack walks with BCWW and this gives Reggie an amazing social life and time away from me to help curb separation anxiety. Liz deserves a shout out too because she is amazing with my big ole pup!I literally refer everyone I know to Dani and team. You cant go wrong with them!

Only positive things to say about my familys experience with The Big City Woof Walker!! I discovered TBCWW in October 2018 while searching online for a new dog walking company - we were desperate to switch and time was of the essence. Our dog is a sweet and slightly anxious rescue that LOVES people, but can have a difficult time trusting new faces right away. Knowing this, it was extremely important that we not only found the right dog walking company, but that we also found the right walker to take care of our boy. After several concerning experiences, our unwavering priority was that our dog would have one primary walker - a person he could get to know and trust over time, and who would understand him and his needs.Dani and Maren were a pleasure to work with and put me at ease right away. They understood my concerns and assured me that with TBCWW, my dog would have a primary walker he could depend on. They were thoughtful about pairing my dog with his potential walker, and then arranged for a meet and greet at our apartment to not only ensure it was a good match, but to also help our dog to be as comfortable as possible in his own environment. We really appreciated this level of attentiveness. This is when the love affair between our dog and Shannon- his walker- began.Shannon treats our dog like hes her own- she has a special place in her heart for rescues. Shannon is patient, understanding, and showers our dog with hugs and kisses every time she sees him. Beyond this, Shannon is intuitive. She recognizes our dogs moods and behaviors in order to make smart and safe decisions for him. We wholeheartedly trust her with our fur baby, and know that he is in the best hands when Shannon picks him up.We feel so thankful to have found Shannon and TBCWW. Weve seen a drastic difference in our dogs energy level, socialization skills, and overall happiness since he started walking with someone he trusts. I would give ten stars if I could! I got a pandemic puppy this year, and worked with Dani (in Chicago) from the time he was about 10 weeks old. I am SO happy with his progress, Dani is amazing at what she does. He is learning good manners and Ive learned how to understand and work with him better. He is now starting pack walks with Liz, and he loves them too, a great workout for his puppy brain. I cant recommend Dani, Liz, and Big City Woof highly enough!

I have been using BCWW for just over 2 years now and while I am not a client that they can count on for regularly scheduled walks, they always are able to accommodate my requests. I have come to rely on them with the utmost confidence.Recently, my husband and I needed to go away for a week. Our dogs are aging and have medical issues that need tending to. I was very apprehensive about leaving them because of the care that they needed. I reached out BCWW as I noticed that extended overnight care was offered. They were so wonderful at putting my fears to rest about my dogs extra care and worries. Dani and Maren suggested Sophia and we scheduled their weeks care with her. We had a meet and greet and that went wonderful. One of my dogs is difficult as he has real trust issues, but Sophias approach with him was perfect and they soon made fast friends, an anomaly, really. We left for the week and Sophia kept us updated at least twice a day about their adventures and reported on all their medications and meals. Her texts were very comforting and I really appreciated that she clearly got them. She had their personalities nailed down in a day. When we returned home at the end of the week, we thought we would be greeted with our usual huge hoopla from them. We arrived, we got some wags and twirls and then they immediately went back to Sophia!!! Ill take it. My ego, while a little bruised, I was beyond grateful that this was a great experience for them.

Our 5 months old goldendoodle pup loves walking with Amanda!! We started with their walk & train program a couple weeks ago which taught him how to behave nicely when walking outside, and just started to join their small pack walks recently. They’re also very responsive in terms of rescheduling as well as answering different questions. We trust BCWW that they will always take care of our pup and definitely will continue to use them!

BCWW is the best! Weve been using them since we got our dog as a puppy. We had 2 assigned walkers, and 1 of them is still is walker to this day (a year and a half later). Its so nice having that consistency. In the event that a walker cant make it, BCWW will coordinate on their end to get someone else over to you (never leaving you stranded). We have never met a walker we (Chandler included) didnt love. Everyone is professional, friendly, and kind. We have never had a concern with the trust of them in and out of our apartment. They let you purchase your walks in packages that way we dont have to worry about payments all the time. Their emails updates are fabulous. Would absolutely recommend!

Amanda was the absolute best! No question was a stupid question and her analogies really made it easy for me to understand how dogs operate. Amanda has been so incredible with my dog! Whenever I say Amanda is coming! he jumps for joy and starts prancing around the house. I never worry about him when they are out for walks because I know that she will keep him safe. BK loves his small pack walks every day and looks forward to seeing his friends! This also has helped with deterring any leash reactivity and helping him learn how to walk instead of stopping to try and say hello to every dog he sees. I am so grateful for their relationship and how excited he is to see her. I know this has also helped with his separation anxiety and makes him more confident to be away from me and not rely so heavily on just me.

Every walker is friendly, compassionate, responsible, careful, and leaves wonderful messages after each walk. Our dog falls all over herself each time they come by because she loves all of them! The owners and administrative staff are SO on top of it -- they are extremely responsive, friendly, and accommodating. I truly could not think of any areas for improvement. Dani stayed at our apartment and watched our pup for 3 nights and 4 days. I have never left him before and was extremely nervous to trust anyone with him. Dani exceeded all of our expectations, constantly sending me photos and giving me updates, taking him on plenty of walks rain or shine, and always making time to play with him. Our dog absolutely adored Dani! I would highly highly recommend Big City Woof Walker to absolutely anybody and will most definitely be using them again in the future.
